When our waiter brought it to the table I was a bit skeptical because it didn't look cheesy, but OMG once I tasted it, I swallowed that skepticism down with the first bite. Soooo yummy. Went here for dinner last Saturday night, although we had no reservation we didn't wait too long at the bar for a table. While we waited, my husband ordered a beer and I ordered a mango jalapeño margarita that was soooo freaking good - spicy but oh so good! I couldn't stop drinking it, even though it was a bit too spicy for me. You might ask, "why ask for a jalapeño margarita if you can't take the spicy", well, I've had so many other jalapeño margarita at other places and they have all been mild - but here, it was spot on with the margarita and the jalapeño, just perfect!!! It didn't take long before we were being seated outside (as we requested). It was a great crowd! There was a mix of people - I love it! Everything under God's sun! And everybody looked like they were enjoying themselves. The view - although it was night, was great! A few boats were docked by the restaurant and people just around them. The ambiance was great! We ordered the calamari and zucchini for appetizer - that were to die for!!! Wow!!! Especially the calamari - so fresh!!! I had shrimp taco and my husband had the steak. Our food was delish and the service was great! Definitely a place to visit again and again. Beautiful location overlooking the river. Friendly staff, tasty food. The menu is very unique, it had items I had never seen before. I ordered the ahi tuna teriyaki bowl. I did not know that tuna steaks are traditionally served raw so was surprised and a bit apprehensive when I got my plate because I do not like sushi. However, I tried it and was very pleasantly surprised! I enjoyed the meal, while the tuna steak is not something I would pick on its own, the ingredients and their portions were perfect compliments and made the tuna pop! Delicious! The hostess wasn't even at the station, didn't greet us, didn't apologize for having us wait, the bartender was blah, no personality and the waiter wasn't attentive. I was not impressed with the seafood pasta. Was watered down and not enough flavor for me. Tried the mushroom pizza appetizer and it was extraordinary. Everything about this place screams dive bar that wants to be a restaurant still not sure. The food is more about quantity over quality. I was pretty sure nothing was freshly made and most ingredients were bought from Costco. I was really disappointed with us place but our waiter was very good so I can't knock it to bad. We were seated outside on February 24th. I unfortunately left the prescription glasses seen in the photo at the table. Someone chose to steal them rather than turn them in. I'm willing to wait for food, but not if it comes out like that. I thought it was just me but my friends had similar issues. Incorrect orders, missing ingredients, not cooked to request, etc. The guac was fine. Excellent atmosphere and great view of the intracoastal and boats passing under the bridge as it opens. My wife had a special salad with quinoa, watermelon, toasted pecans whipped feta-yogurt. I had the Chicken Caprese sandwich with tomato, mozzarella, arugula, caramelized onions on a ciabatta roll with pesto mayo. Both entrees were sensational.
