I've come here a couple times now when visiting family in Boca Raton, and it has definitely become one of our go to restaurants. It has a really nice location overlooking the water and a drawbridge with boats going by which the kids love. Much of the restaurant is open air, and we always opt to sit outside on the patio. They are also very kid friendly and have high chairs, a kids menu, and they know how to move tables around to fit in strollers. The drinks here are pretty good. I've tried several several of the cocktails, and the frozen pina collada and rum runner are my favorites. The food here is also great. I've tried the salads and tacos and have liked everything. The blackened shrimp is one of my favorite things here so definitely try it. All of our servers have been great but we particularly enjoy Patty. She was so was so sweet and on top of things when I had to figure out what I could eat due to a food allergy. Prices here are reasonable and the food and drinks are excellent so we will keep coming back! read more

Looking back at this restaurant's Yelp page, I realize people were way too generous with their reviews (makes me almost lose faith in yelpers loll). The views were just okay - there are very few tables lined at the edge where you can get a good view of the water. The other tables were just meh in terms of getting a good view because you're blocked by other tables next to the water. They also really crowd the outdoor patio with as many tables as possible - seems unsafe during covid even if it's outdoors and honestl uncomfortable. If you even consider sitting inside, just don't lol it looks like super plain/boring and stuffy inside. The view wasn't the main problem though - the food was. I've eaten at many places in Florida since I've gotten here and this was probably the worst. It's just really overpriced for the quality and taste. We got fish and chips, fish tacos, seafood pasta, and a strawberry daiquiri. The fish and chips were pretty bland and the batter was way too thick with little fish inside. Super oily as well. As for the tacos, the blackened fish in the tacos was not bad tbh but they use this thick flour tortilla that was not heated (suggest using corn tortillas or heat it up lol) and it just was too overpowering. Seafood pasta hmm have had better at TGI Fridays, cannot believe it was so overpriced and the sauce was kinda watery! Strawberry daiquiri was really really sweet - have had a better experience with a slurpee from 7-eleven. Overall, don't understand the hype at all. Seems super overpriced for not great food. Also the pics on Yelp don't seem representative of the place, maybe it's better during the day idk, didn't impress me. read more

Deck 84 has a gorgeous patio overlooking the water, but make sure you make a reservation about a week ahead of time because it is hard to get in outside but it's worth it. I still am a little uncertain how I feel about my service. I think the waitress tried to make our experience great but she was busy. The restaurant is pricey, but the view is so worth the experience. My mom and I split the appetizer General Tso's cauliflower. The appetizer was basically just cauliflower with some toppings spread out and did not taste like General Tsos, and it was kind of disappointing. There was barely any sauce but the cauliflower was cooked very well so I'd call it just a cauliflower appetizer. For my main meal I ordered the shrimp tacos and when my meal came out, it was fish tacos. I let the person know that and they said they would bring me out my shrimp tacos right away and about 20 to 30 minutes later I got my tacos after my entire family was done eating but no worries they comped my dinner. My best friend and I decided to try out Deck 84 on our first night in Delray Beach. The location is nice as it's by the water. We were able to get a table without reservations outside on the patio deck which was great. Our server Lisa was very nice and helpful with all the questions we had. She delivered excellent customer service. We started off with a mixed drink. I ordered a Coconut Mojito and my bestie ordered some type of rum punch. I really don't like sending things back to the bar nor kitchen, but the mojito wasn't good. It was horrible! Lisa came by and asked about our drinks and I told her about the Mojito and she took it back and we switched it out for my original request which was the Amaretto Sour. It was way better than the mojito! My bestie at first thought her drink wasn't strong enough, but it crept up on her a few minutes later, LOL. We started off with the Shrimp Macaroni and Cheese. It came out very hot and it was delicious! It had plenty of shrimp and was topped off with some breadcrumbs which made it even better. The flavor was on point and honestly we wished we had ordered our own instead of sharing. For my next plate, I ordered the Calamari with Zucchini and my bestie ordered the Margherita Flatbread. I did not enjoy my pick as it was overly breaded. It lacked flavor all together regardless if you dipped it in the sauces. I had more zucchini then calamari. I couldn't finish it at all. I tasted the flatbread and it wasn't bad at all. My bestie didn't care for it. Honestly we would have been better off ordering an additional plate of the Mac and Cheese because that was the best thing out of the entire dinner. We went for a late lunch on a Monday afternoon, and it wasn't busy. The ambiance is a LOVELY, tropical environment reminiscent of Key West, overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. There are patio fans that cool down the patio in the summer months. Our waitress was very attentive and met all of our needs quickly, kindly, and respectfully. We enjoyed the food. I was disappointed that valet parking was the only option available, and it cost $8 plus a tip. A restaurant should provide free parking in its own lot. Will I return? I don't know. We've been to Deck 84 twice over the last few years when we visit our son. It's a great place in terms of location - right on the inter-coastal waterway with the quintessential waterway views and right off Atlantic Avenue with all the shops. They have a great outdoor dining area, protected from rain, etc. It's a really nice environment, fun atmosphere. Unfortunately, although the menu has plenty to choose from, the food has been mediocre both times. Three of our dishes were disappointing - either too salty, very oily, over seasoned to the point where you weren't sure what you were eating. The service was really slow and the waiter seemed to forget about us constantly. Lastly, you have to pay $8 for valet parking unless you can find parking elsewhere. So, I'd say go for the experience but know you're going for the atmosphere not the food. read more

I'm not sure if it was the time of year, or the low tide, but the smell permeated even inside the restaurant. Deck 84 is okay.... I think as far as food goes it is better than its service quality is. We ordered quite a few things to share, I have to say that portions are quite large and could be easily shared if you aren't too hungry. The fried calamari was very good and the mustard sauce was a favorite among us. Also good was the fried chicken sandwich. It was moist and crunchy and very well seasoned. But probably the best thing to try here were the Mussels... garlic and herb broth with French fries or mashed potatoes it was delicious, fresh and plentiful. Fried fish tacos .... o yeah.. very good and it will leave you full... the portion is rather large. As far as service goes it can definitely be improved. I come to this spot a few times a year, usually when someone is visiting from out of town and you want to show them a little of what SoFla is all about. I only sit outside, that's what makes this place great. Open air, covered bar area with lots of tables all with a view of the intercostal so you can enjoy a little breeze while watching boats go by and listening to island/yacht music. We didn't have live music this time, but wouldn't be surprised if they did later that afternoon. Bar area got crowded after we sat down, likely due to college football games starting, especially the Hurricanes in an early game. My Bloody Mary was just so-so. Far from the days they had a Bloody Mary bar and you could make your own. I ordered the blackened shrimp salad (Brutus?) and my gf got the southwest chicken salad. Both were delicious and filling. The food isn't the main attraction here, so I was extremely happy with the salads. As always, everyone from bartender to hostess to server was extremely friendly. More reasonable prices would make this a 5 star review, but $75 for 2 salads and a Bloody Mary is the main reason I don't frequent this place. Our resort recommended this restaurant. It's a quick 5 minute walk from the Atlantic Ocean and the view is beautiful. The restaurant is under construction and on an early Friday afternoon, the service was slow. Our waitress was really kind and helpful. My husband ordered the prime deck burger for lunch and I ordered the Chicken pita. My Pita was the best I've ever had, ever!!! The quinoa salad that was served was so cool and refreshing. I went on Memorial Day so it was packed, there was a wait time. However they told me 20 mins and at least 40 has gone by. I was waiting on my friends anyway. When I went to check on my table they were seating another party of 4 which made me curious. They said I was actually next on the list which clearly seems like otherwise. Also as I was waiting for my friends by the bar the bar tenders paid me no mind. It took me 10 mins to get their attention. We added floaters but even without them they were great daiquiris. Loved loved loved the empanada served with chimmichurri sauce! We ordered two more after having one! Truffle fries were good not amazing, I thought they could've been crisper. Lastly, wouldn't recommend the Al pastor tacos. If you are used to cubed crispy pastor, you won't find that here. This meat was shredded and didn't have the same flavor most pastor has. However, it was a very big portion for tacos which some people might appreciate. Saturday 7:45 pm reservation was sitting and waiting for my date and me upon our arrival. No waiting no hassle. Guacamole bowl and the general Tso's cauliflower bowl were to die for. Loren (sp?) our waitress was so so helpful in helping my date avoid shiitake mushrooms that were ground in to the lettuce wraps and helping me avoid Parmesan cheese that was mixed In to the spinach pesto pasta dish. My family came here on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. We called ahead to find out the wait time, because I know this place is always in high demand for their outdoor seating on the water. Upon our arrival, we were seated right away indoors, while there was over a 2 hour wait for the outside. Our server was just okay. She disappeared at some points, and we had to have someone locate her for refills. The place was slammed, so we understood that it might take some time for things. My boyfriend and I each started off with a bloody Mary, but I didn't particularly enjoy mine. I thought it was watery, and not spicy enough for my liking, even after adding hot sauce. My mom and I both ordered off the brunch menu with the breakfast pizza. This came topped with maple bacon, spinach, cherry tomatoes, and scrambled eggs. It was absolutely delicious, and I would definitely order it again! I also was in the mood for french fries, so we split a side, and boy am I glad we did! So gooooood! My boyfriend ordered from the lunch menu with the Deck Burger. It was so big, and came topped with onion rings, a special sauce, and a side of fries. He loved it, and said it had so much flavor. Overall, we had a good experience. I feel like I need to come back and try out the feel of sitting outside to really appreciate all this restaurant has to offer. Came in for lunch with my family and it honestly was amazing. Service was impeccable. I don't remember the servers name but she was very pleasant. And she was very knowledgeable about the menu. My mother-in-law asked if a burger had bread crumbs in it and she told us every ingredient that it contained. That was very impressive. I had the blackened shrimp Cesar salad. He had the deck burger.
