American restaurant sitting on the intercoastal in downtown Delray Had some old friends in for a visit, and looking for a place that we could meet, we settled for Deck 84 in Delray. Perfectly located on the intercoastal, this is a great indoor / outdoor restaurant for meeting people, dinner, cocktails or just knocking back a few and watching the boats go by. Smallish bar greets you to the left when you pass the hostess station followed by inside / outside dining areas to the left and right. Outside dining areas are covered, so you are not a depending on the weather, if you want to get a birds-eye seat by the water. Further to the right the place opens up into a large tiki-sort of atmosphere and is technically "outside", but it is sort of like sitting under a giant canvas roof - it gives you that outside feel, but you are under cover. I grabbed a cocktail at the front bar while waiting for my party - Shannon, the bartender in the front, was on point. Good conversation and a solid drink - I simply cannot complain. My party showed up and we headed back to the outside bar / tiki area. There was live music the day we were there, and the place was bumping. Wait staff were plentiful, and even with that, they were pretty busy with all the customers. We got started with libations and jamming to the tunes. Music was great but a bit too loud - we pretty much had to wait for a break to chat - I presume they have to turn it up to be heard over the crowd, but it might be annoying to someone who actually goes there and wants to chat. Drinks were well made, and we got a bunch of different appertizers for the table - literally a little something for everyone. Food was decent. Nothing so amazing that it would leave an impression, but the best way to describe it is "solid". Well presented, and the food came out pretty quickly - so no complaints there. All in all a nice time- definitely loud, but we were there to have fun as well, so we turned it into a good time. Parking is available for $6 - they have a tiny parking lot, so you probably want to find something in Delray (good luck with that) and walk over. read more

We went for a nice afternoon lunch with a view! The food was delicious and our server, Devon, was very attentive. It was a delight to find out the margarita flatbread could be made with cauliflower crust. The chicken on the Caesar salad was huge, so it was all very filling. I remember this restaurant for it's quality food. Still has the same water view but that's about all. We were a party of 5. Started with a calamari appetizer, which was surprisingly good. Two in the group had steak skewers. They were so charred, they were almost unrecognizable. Another had a burger and asked for medium. Came back well done. I ordered the empanedas. They were deep fried, filled with cheese and some sort of processed chicken. Horrible. Someone else safely ordered a salad with shrimp. We sent back the burger and 1 steak dinner. They replaced each with a burger, but unfortunately, same over done meat. Thank you to our server for taking care of us during this fiasco of a dinner. We will not be going back. Shame on the Rappaport group who own several other restaurants. They missed the mark on this one read more

Stopped in for a late lunch on a travel day. Couldn't have been happier with the experience. Watching the bridge go up and boats cruise by was cool along with the live music. The bartender made us a couple exceptional Miami Vice's along with a couple other delicious cocktails. We ordered a few things to split, great quality food and great portions. Fried calamari and fried zucchini, blacker shrimp tacos, and mussels with fries hit the spot. Most definitely will be a regular spot for us when visiting. read more

We have passed by Deck 84 many times and finally were motivated by Restaurant Month to try it out. We sat outside in a lovely setting with a water view. Tables are well-spaced and the host/manager offered us options. We appreciated the great service from Toren who provided meal recommendations and a very pleasant demeanor. They offered nice specials for Restaurant Month and we enjoyed the meatloaf and salmon, accompanied by specially-priced glasses of wine. We were pleasantly surprised by the key lime ice cream pie since we're not usually a fan. It hit the spot! Overall, a nice, relaxing, tasty dinner. read more

Beautiful setting outside along the water. You are paying for the view, so sit outside where you can watch the boats go by. Staff are pretty friendly, our serve was great. The Peach Palmer was not worth the $$ too watered down. Skip it. Bummer they only have Pepsi products. Guacamole and chips were good but a little heavy on the citrus. The portions are so large don't do an appetizer unless you have 4 or more people. My crab cakes were perfect, tender and fresh. Totally worth it if you like crab. I didn't care for the coke slaw, the use of banana peppers was off putting. Would have rather had something fresh, not pickled. Dessert we had the cookies and cream pie, I was already stuffed but this was a nice pallet cleanser. Not too sweet, just refreshing. The Prime Deck Special blend burger was massive! Tasted great and all the toppings were fresh and well prepared. All in all a great dining experience that I would recommend to anyone. Staying at a hotel nearby, we decided to try out Deck 84 after passing it several times during strolls over the bridge. Our decision proved to be a good idea, as we had great service and enjoyed the meal overall. Our waitress was very attentive, and provided excellent service. Food delivery was quick as well. Some of the items we tried and our feedback: - Fried Calamari and Zucchini- light and crispy, we enjoyed this one - Spinach Dip - could have used slightly more salt, but overall tasty and creamy - Fried Fish sandwich with truffle fries - fries were really good, fish was cooked well, just needed a tad bit more seasoning - Nashville Hot Fried Chicken - good, the cole slaw was different than the usual slaw style, which was nice, but just a bit too salty. - Pulled Pork Sliders with Brussel Sprouts- sprouts were good, pulled pork slider was also tasty. - Fried Empanadas- not our favorite, we would probably pass on this one the next time Overall, an enjoyable dinner and the service is really admirable. We think they've done a great job training their staff and that really makes a huge difference to a dining experience. The ambiance is also nice, and the view is relaxing. There are just a few tweaks, for our taste, that we would recommend in the flavors that would really just make this place a 5 star experience. We will be back next time we're in Delray! read more

Summer vacation in Del Ray and I wanted to enjoy a meal by the water as my home is surrounded by mountains. We sat outdoors and had a beautiful view of the waterfront as the sun set, and boats cruised by. The patio area is stroller friendly so my baby slept peacefully in her stroller while we ate. Our server was friendly and offered some recommendations.There aren't too many land options and I don't eat seafood but I went with the crusted chicken sandwich and my partner ordered the Pan Roasted Salmon. Neither one of us had any complaints and enjoyed our meals very much. Only thing we would have done differently was to order an appetizer as the Salmon was not really a large portion although it's in the large plate section. read more

This was a really nice Sunday Brunch. They do not offer bottomless, but they have a great selection including several frozen options on tap. They are dog friendly and have a special fog selection in the online menu. The dog portion is very large as well - my dogs gave 2 paws up,each. They got the chicken with rice and carrots. My bf had the Benny, which was good and he said the potatoes were excellent. I had the Nutella french toast which was good as well. The outside seating has a great view and a nice breeze, it also offers some sun seats or shaded and covered options. I also appreciated Kristi asking if there were any food allergies early on. I brought my partner to Deck 84 for her 45th birthday, on Friday April 25th, the 30 minute wait was less than expected and the corner booth by the window over looking the water was probably the best seat it the house. (Seating choice was all random so that is neither a positive or negative) The waitress was friendly enough but the service was VERY SLOW! But again Friday night, I was expecting somewhat of a weight. My issue with the place, and reason for the negative review is m, when I secretly asked the hostess if they do any thing for birthdays, sing, being something with a candle... so on. Both hostesses said yes and one ask where I was sitting. She said she was tell the waitress. I went to the bathroom, went back by the hostesses stand to confirm and everything was all good. Our good comes, our plates leave, nothing happens. The check comes nothing happens. I pay. My partner asked, what was wrong and I told her. She asked me not to make a big deal about it. As we were leave the manager was standing at the hostess stand and I asked him if I could filll out a survey. He said there were no surveys. I would assume he would have asked if there was a problem. All in all it wasn't a great experience. On a positive note the guys at the valet stand were great. I probably won't ever go back to Deck 84. read more

If you're looking for a waterfront spot of the inter coastal in Delray, this is a great spot! I've come here a few times and have always enjoyed my time here. When I was here a few months ago, I ordered the burger and loved it. This last time I wasn't extremely hungry so just ordered the chicken nachos that were huge but so yummy!! My Mom got a salad that she really enjoyed but felt like she spent too much money on. That is something to keep in mind when coming here - they are a little overpriced for what you get but the environment is relaxed and nice. read more

We had a lovely dinner here with a group of 6. Reservations were easy to make online, and there was plenty of outdoor seating, right on the water, and next to a heat lamp. Our server Celina was super attentive and helpful. The food and drinks were all delicious, and that's saying a lot for a big (and particular) group. I had the white sangria, and the shrimp crusted snapper... both were done perfectly. This was the only restaurant we ate at while we were in town that we were truly happy about. We came on a Sat night with reservations. I ordered what our waiter recommended on the menu. We enjoyed the cool night on the deck watching the glistening water. Then, our waiter came to inform us of his mistake. Our order was delayed due to his error. Then, he also told me my original item was out. So, I chose the seafood pasta. While it didn't seem that much longer, the manager came by to apologize for the error and delay and said our entire night would be comped! I was very amazed! I didn't have to say anything. Had a great time at Deck 84. Didn't know they have valet. But luckily we have a great spot right across the street. Their valet is around the corner at Palm Square. Call them for accurate info. We were seated along the rail so we had a nice view of the inter coastal. Pattie was our server and our experience with her was very pleasant. I asked for a mocktail since I can't have alcohol and unfortunately, it was boring for $8. My husband likes the meatloaf he ordered while the shrimp crusted mahi was just okay. The shrimps were rock shrimps. Somehow the taste was lacking. Overall experience was good. The restaurants staff wear masks. We will be back. read more
