I dined here for the 18 course omakase experience. This was probably one of the most amazing dining experiences that I've had in Palm Beach County, definitely the best omakase I've had outside of Japan. From start to finish every single course was absolutely delicious and the chefs preparing the food were so skilled in the art of Japanese dish preparation. The experience is pricey, but well worth it... Treat yourself! The service was spectacular as well. I couldn't decide which type of sake I wanted to try so I was able to taste a couple of them and choose the one that was just right for me. The servers also cleared every plate very quickly, refilled my ginger multiple times because I absolutely love ginger and ate it between every course, and they filled my cup with sake and water all night. I truly felt like they were not just giving you a meal but making sure that you have the best full culinary experience possible. This restaurant is located right on the Ave and there's not a whole lot of signage so you may miss it when you're first looking for it. The space is very small and intimate with counter seating around the chef's table and that's it! I was there for a solo date, it seemed like people were there for business meetings, there was a birthday celebration, and a wedding anniversary happening as well. I'll definitely be back! And shout out to Chase for recommending this restaurant as one of the curated reserve card dining experiences. Truly chefs kiss!

It should be a Michelin starred restaurant. Every bite of food is a journey, the quality of the ingredients are excellent, the staff is top notch, the atmosphere is cozy and intimate. I believe about 12 seats. Reservation only. I think it's an 18 course adventure. I've had my best bite of food in this place and I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation. Just when you think you've had your favorite bite, the next one comes and it's the best bite. It continues on like this until the end. It's a curated course. You do not choose what you eat and while you maybe aren't adventurous, it's worth trying what they put in front of you. If you're allergic or opposed to anything, they ask before service begins and they will substitute that particular bite for you. Vincent is one of the Chefs and always makes us feel welcomed and among friends. We go here for special occasions or any other excuse we can find. The menu is constantly changing, so even though we've been here a dozen times, we've never had the same course twice. There is an excellent Sake selection, the Yuzi refresher is a good start when you arrive. They do Tuna cutting, but we haven't been able to get a reservation for that. Maybe in the future. If you're lucky they will have Japanese strawberries or cantaloupe for desert. By far my favorite restaurant. Plan to book ahead and get there on time. You will not be disappointed!

I decided to take my mother out to dinner tonight and thought it would be great if we had a chance to share our first omakase experience together. Be mindful when booking your reservation....you must put a deposit down in order to seal the deal. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated immediately. The decor is very nice and I liked the choice in music playing in the background; more of a house style but very chill. You"ll catch yourself singing along at the table. There's only room for about 12 people so the show starts soon as everyone arrives. (DON'T BE LATE) Besides understanding that the menu consisted of about 90% raw seafood I didn't quite know what to expect as far as flavor. We were BLOWN AWAY!! The chefs explained every dish and were very attentive throughout the whole experience. If you aren't used to eating high amounts of raw food I would take it slow here. Other than that 10/10 recommended. Lastly, do not come here being cheap! Be prepared!

Let me add another 5 star rating to this already 5 star rated art gallery disguised as a sushi restaurant. Yes, it's going to be the best sushi experience of your life. No, you likely won't enjoy sushi at other places quite the same afterward. Yes, it's on the pricey side but I promise that after your meal you'd agree it's worth every penny. This meal is on my top 10 of all time. And I'm no newbie. Anthony was our chef and he was professional, attentive, funny, and undeniably a grand master of sushi-ology. Each course from the salmon, to the tuna, to the scallop, to the many others, gets better and better. It's impossible to choose which is the best. Each course is a masterclass in delicacy, texture, flavor balance, and presentation. I can go on and on but it's safe to say this place is the real deal. Other notes; the place is very nicely decorated, setup to make you feel like it's a private sushi tasting of the highest order. Service is 5-star. And the rice beer is delicious! I will be back as many times as my bank account allows me. Don't hesitate if you're wondering if it's overpriced, it's not. Splurge a bit, this place is worth it.

This omakase was the best I've had in Florida yet! The ambiance was typical for a higher end omakase, but one fun fact that the chef told us is that "taki" means waterfall and the entire back wall has a gentle waterfall trickling throughout the meal. As for the experience, the chef was very friendly and interactive, and the dishes were very thoughtfully constructed. One of the highlights that I wish I caught on film was searing one of the fish, but instead of using a torch, he used a coal from burning cherry blossom wood! As for the food, it was a thoughtfully constructed menu with very fresh fish. I highly highly recommend, you won't find a better omakase spot in soflo

This place is without a doubt the best Omakase in Florida! This place puts Sushi by Bou to shame. Thanks to chef Patrick and all the staff for the most incredible meal and evening! The ambiance and service is second to none. It feels like you're doing Omakase in Japan and then walk out into Florida. I had the best piece of fish in my entire life here. Their 3 day marinated sea bass. To die for. Every single thing here was better than the next and I can not wait to come back! I will be sending family and friends here. Checkout the pictures I posted from here. I can not recommend this enough!

This was our second time here and we enjoyed the omakase experience again. The sushi chef, Vince, was knowledgeable and attentive when serving us. It doesn't seem like a lot of food, but you will get full by the end of the meal. Everything was delicious and we loved the toro and wagyu. Dessert is included and it was a great way to end the evening.

This 12 seater omakase is definitely worth the experience. Our chef was so knowledgeable and friendly during our dinner service. He explained all the items that came out of, answered all of our questions, and made the experience unforgettable. The place is dim and intimate which really adds to the vibe. Everything was fresh and delicious.

My sister and cousin brought me here for my birthday brunch in October. I've gone to the Taki in Boca before. But this was my first time in Delray location. It is smaller than the Boca location. But it's small and private. It's next door to the Hawkers Asian Street Food establishment, which we went a grabbed a drink from since we arrived to Taki a bit early and they had their doors locked still. The service and food at Taki is always great. Never one complaint.

Went here for the $80 lunch omakase. Chef Patrick did not disappoint! He offered a tasty and educational service. The staff was very attentive, decor intimate, food melt in your mouth umami. Was even considering coming back that same day for the dinner service, but it didn't fit in my schedule. Needless to say, will definitely be coming back!

The lunch Omakase @ Taki is a must-have! Chef Patrick is very knowledgeable, super personable, and just overall lovely. I really appreciate a chef who can host and converse, which we thankfully had. We got courses of ají, cherry flounder, otoro, and sea scallop to name a few. Our server, Airin, was also fantastic. She personalizes the sake flight to everyone, depending on your tastes and the course being served. The restaurant itself is cozy and the dinnerware is gorgeous. After lunch, we were already planning our next visit. Definitely recommend Taki. Ps: Lunch is from 12:30-1:30, and they start promptly - you don't be 10 minutes late like me! You'll get whatever courses you missed, but you don't want to miss introductions and explanations!

The Korean style beef was okay, but I needed to add eel sauce for some extra flavor. The 1/2 California Roll, gyoza and side salad with ginger dressing were fresh and delicious. I enjoyed the sushi roll the most. My two coworkers both ordered different types of sushi rolls. One had fish and the other was a sweet potato roll. The restaurant packed both of the rolls in the same box, which resulted in a mess, as the sauce on one roll got mixed in with the other roll. Again, this was take-out, so I am sure we would have had a different experience if we ate in the restaurant. I would like to try this restaurant again. Next time will be a dine-in meal instead of take-out.

This was my first time visiting Yama and three things popped up on my mind as to how they were able to stay in business for so many years. 1) The warm hospitality of the owner chef who was Korean, still tending to his sushi bar and his customers after working behind the sushi bar himself for decades in his younger years. 2) The beautifully and intricately designed interior that reminded me of upscale looking Izakaya dining space that was still affordable. 3) The fresh quality ingredients that they use and in house made salad dressing was a nice touch. The sushi was decent. There was too much rice used and too much going on top of the sushi pieces for my liking, but I still managed to finish them. The servers were welcoming and the manager was very hospitable checking up on me to make sure I had everything that I needed. Will definitely recommend this place to others. The parking spaces were limited and it was crowded on a Friday night around 830pm.

I miss restaurants that hold on to their uniqueness and don't need to cater to the mainstream palettes. Service was just okay. We waited a while before our waitress even came over to bring water. We came in late for a bite around 9:30pm, and there weren't many diners, so the delay was surprising. That said, one thing I've always liked about Phat Boy is their extended late-night hours.
