This is officially one of my favourite bubble tea shops. Every drink has such a strong CONCEPT it is unreal. I've tried so many flavours and each one has been incredible.. going to do my best to list them here: Strawberry bobo - fresh. strawberry. jam. it's refreshing, sweet and tart coco mango - liquid mango sticky rice - IYKYK Strawberry sunset - similar to strawberry bobo but more refreshing and starts out with a green tea fragrance, ends in that good ol fresh strawberry sweetness Strawberry bobo - this is the strawberry milk you've only DREAMED of. the peak perfection of strawberry milk... grape wizard - ever wanted to just drink grapes? nows your chance grape nebula - tastes like a field of dandelions, spring came early!! avocado crush - yes, avocados can be refreshing too!!!! bobo milk tea - solid quality brown sugar w amazing pearls purple yam bobo tea - one thing you gotta try if you want something filling, subtly sweet, and delicious at the same time. ALSO don't forget to try their taro balls... truly game changing taro bobo tea - compared to the purple yam this one is sweeter and smoother, but i like both it just depends on the mood of the day broth / onigiri rice balls - one of the best deals, super fresh and delicious, and this broth... i could drink it forever!! sakura pineapple: feels and looks like a fragrant milkshake/frap-- you won't really taste the tart of the pineapple, more sweetness plus pink marshmallows ANYWAY what I think I'm trying to say is i am obsessed and i am determined to try the whole menu. also need to take more pics read more

I've been to the Thompson Street location a couple times last year and was pleasantly surprised to see Debutea settled in this part of Brooklyn, also last year. This space is a lot bigger than its Greenwich Village sister and the menu is more extensive. Although indoor dining has resumed with limited capacity, it appeared that seating was off limits. Since it was chilly out and I was passing by, a warm, soothing beverage came to mind. I stayed away from the Cheese tea--not a fan when I first visited Debutea in the Village and I also wasn't looking to spend $7. I browsed the tea latte section which I predicted would be a winner. The barista was friendly and offered her opinion on a few of the lattes from the menu suggesting the black tea latte and fresh peach oolong latte. I ultimately settled for their Jasmine Tea Latte with regular milk. They offer Soy, Oat and Almond milk as well of which the last two are an additional charge. For 16 ounces, my beverage was $4.36 which was quite reasonable. Compare this to the popular franchise coffee spots that sweeten their coffee with artificial syrups and cost a lot more. When I tried it, I instantly liked it---soothing, not sweet with the Jasmine tea flavor being prominent. Really delicious. I was unaware that this location serves Poke and salads which I will keep in mind for a future visit. This location will definitely be a fun hangout spot once the pandemic becomes a memory (keeping positive). In the meantime, I will return when in the area for my tea fix. read more

My new favorite spot for drinks! I love how they have an array of items on the menu. I have tried most of the drinks on the menu, and nothing has dissatisfied me so far. At first, I was overwhelmed by the menu and didn't know what to order, but the staff member was super nice and helpful; She guided me through every step while ordering and provided exceptional customer service. I couldn't be more pleased with the attitude of the staff and the delightful environment. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed with friendly greetings, I loved my stay there so much, I stayed and entertained multiple drinks as they were fit for my palate. I got the pink glow pineapple, it was really refreshing with the right amount of sweetness. There was also chunks of pink pineapple mixed inside. I would say this is my favorite drink for the summer. My favorite overall drink would be Coco Mango as it has the perfect blend salty, sweet, and sourness(from the mango). Of all the cafes I've been to, I'd say they serve the best fruit tea in New York with the highest quality of ingredients, as all their drinks come with natural products and do not contain any powdery substances. 10/10 for my overall experience and I couldn't be more satisfied read more

I'm not sure when this place opened but I'm glad they did and I'm super glad that I found it! I was craving onigiri(rice balls) and looked for it through seamless and this restaurant popped up. So I got salmon and avocado onigiri and the queen of dragon fruit 2.0 tea. The rice balls were good but the tea was the star, it was yummy and refreshing. I love fruits and guava is something I used to have often growing up. The tea had guava and dragon fruit and it felt AMAZING! It tasted exactly like the fruit and not like some artificial essence so I feel that the tea is worth the $7.25. I plan to try more teas here until I get bored. read more

Cutest tea shop I randomly found. It's all about the aesthetics and the tea tasted pretty good too! Def will come back to try more teas here. They even have milk-alternative options FYI. Inside feels super study vibes. They have some accessible charging stations by the large windows but not any I obviously saw by the "study area." There's also a small flower shop inside that's open Wednesday and another day. Look to have a alcohol selection in the back. I didn't try any food options. Disposable tea jars are made of a hard plastic so definitely reusable! read more

4.5/5 Got the Matcha Latte with boba and cheese foam -- MAN it hurt when I saw it ring up to almost $10 (!), but I've got to say it's quite delicious. The matcha is rich and doesn't separate and they do salty cheese foam right here! The boba comes warm and coated in syrup, so make sure to stir before drinking. Lovely ambiance, even better drinks. Got the purple grape fruit tea with boba. The pearls are flavorful and just the right texture. First time having purple grape fruit tea and it reminded me of the Asian gummies I would eat as a kid! Only con is that the sweetness was non-adjustable and I prefer my boba to be mildly sweet. There is a lot of room inside to hang out or study which is rare. Lots of outlets and WiFi too! Will definitely be back to try other flavors :) read more

Have to agree with the crew of people who have already chimed in. It's in a really convenient spot in the neighborhood and I was looking forward to it opening. They have a variety of teas and boba. The peach berry frozen tea I got was really good and fresh. Definitely trying a boba next time I go. Very glad that a new tea shop opened up in the neighborhood! They have really tasty fruit teas in my opinion. My friend got the mango iced fruit tea and I tried the pineapple fruit tea and it truly tasted like pineapples. Great place to grab a drink and walk around in the area. I also can't wait for the shop to open up because it is such a cute ambience for people to meet/hang out and do work. Sweetness levels are Asian mom approved! The fruit teas on the menu are really good. They achieve a good balance of sweetness for their drinks that can't be customized. It's on the pricey end but I the quality is certainly not slacking. The brown sugar boba milk tea is very subtle so if you're looking for something with a punch this prob ain't for you! Really refreshing and high quality tea drinks, albeit very pricey. I ordered the Strawberry Sunset (jasmine green tea with fresh strawberry) less sweet and the total was nearly $7... while it hurt me deeply to be paying that much for a tea drink, I have to admit it was very good. The tea flavor was strong and notable and the strawberries were blended in with the ice to create a nice refreshing texture. Definitely worlds better than other places that just use fruit syrup. For a drink that seemed pretty basic, I was actually really impressed by the quality of the taste; it must reflect how fresh the ingredients they use are. High price aside, I really liked this place and would definitely be back to try their other drinks! read more

Found this new Debutea location and I love it! The cafe is so cute and allows socially distanced indoor dining. I usually get the drinks at Debutea and love them, but this time tried a Stewed Beef Poke Ball and loved it! The meat was tender and juicy, and the ingredients on the bowl were so fresh. A simple review on the fresh fruit tea - really enjoyed the original fresh fruit tea! I got oolong with grass jelly. It wasn't too sweet - perfectly bright and refreshing. The menu has a wide variety and I especially love their seasonal options like the Le Guava, Pink Lychee, Peach Bobo, and Peach Fairy. The mango sago and ube boba are also delicious. Boba in NYC isn't hard to find, but good boba is. Debutea is one of the rare places that serves boba and has good seating - something I wish boba culture can copy from coffee culture. Came here with friends and their drinks are just a resounding good. The consensus is to order with less sugar, however. I personally got a cheese tea - four seasons. Flavor was well balanced - some nit items: I wish the cheese was a little saltier and the cup was in those hot coffee / latte cups to sip from to combine the cheese and the tea when tilted. Would have made the drinking experience a lot better. Overall, this is a great spot and I hope to drop by again to work-remotely soon! read more

I had a tasty lunch at Debutea this week. The tri color poke was delicious and savory and had a tiny bit of heat to it. Yummy. The coffee and tea were also good. It's a chill and relaxing space good for relaxing or working. Service is a bit spotty. Out of the 4 things we ordered they messed up 2 of them and the order took a long time. A dear friend's favorite boba place in the city, so I had to try it. Debutea has intricate drink options, with small medium large and XXL sizing for those that are super thirsty. The grape-kiwi drink with boba is probably my favorite drink, followed closely by the coco mango tea with lychee jelly. Not too sweet, freshly blended for both the milk and fruit tea options, although they are known for the fruit tea/fruit tea slushy options (I second this recommendation! I got the frozen guava drink because I love guava and it was on the favorites menu. However, despite it being on of the more expensive drinks ($9), it was completely disgusting. It tasted like it was just blended ice and yet also had the texture of being extremely mealy. I had a meeting there so I just sat with it. After my meeting I went up and told them that it must've been made wrong because it was abhorrent and they refused to do anything. Debutea serves delicious boba, not too sweet, with biodegradeble straws, reuseable plastic jars, and super cute everything. They claim all natural with no artificial ingredients. Tea was fragrant and well rounded. The boba is sweetened and tasty in complement to the tea, but it was also a bit clumpy today. The bio degradeable straw isn't as strong as a plastic one, so there's some awkwardness when you've got too much boba happening. Overall, very tasty! Would have again. read more

I had a bubble tea craving and no time to get one this weekend, so I discovered Debutea (via delivery service) and ordered the Purple Yam Boba tea and crab/lobster onigiri. This is the most incredible bubble tea I have EVER had. It's dense, it's flavorful, not overly sweet and this drink has a no ice option, which means more goodness to enjoy. You start by drinking through the straw, but then you should use a spoon to slowly savor all that purple yam boba bomb deliciousness. I loved it so much, I ordered it again today. Also, whatever genius came up with the sprinkling of umami joy on top of the onigiri needs an award of some form. And if it's bottled, I need to purchase copious amounts of it immediately. I must must must try the onigiri combo (too) one of these days. LOVE. read more

I'm always looking for new bubble tea spots in Brooklyn and Debutea is one of the best. They have very good prices, *aesthetic* cups (if that matters to you!), and most important, their tea is delicious. I had a plain milk tea with grass jelly and boba on my first visit, and it was way better in my opinion than hyped up places like Tiger Sugar. Vibe: Dope larger space in BK with decent boba and a large workspace. Interior is really nice with plenty of large table, small table and lounge seats to meet up or get some work done. They do have WiFi and a fair amount of power outlets. Very well lit naturally with large windows and a cool interior aesthetic with pottery, unique furniture and a small flower garden. Food/Drink: Decent selection of boba options which seemed pretty typical/standard. Ended up with a classic jasmine tea w boba that was a bit too sweet for me but good nonetheless. No chunky or old bobas in my drink which was expected/good. They do have some food options, ended up with a poke bowl which was fresh but lacked a bit in the provided sauce. Long story short; cool spot with lots of space. Decent food / drinks fairly priced but nothing special. read more
