I'm not sure when this place opened but I'm glad they did and I'm super glad that I found it! I was craving onigiri(rice balls) and looked for it through seamless and this restaurant popped up. So I got salmon and avocado onigiri and the queen of dragon fruit 2.0 tea. The rice balls were good but the tea was the star, it was yummy and refreshing. I love fruits and guava is something I used to have often growing up. The tea had guava and dragon fruit and it felt AMAZING! It tasted exactly like the fruit and not like some artificial essence so I feel that the tea is worth the $7.25. I plan to try more teas here until I get bored. read more

Cutest tea shop I randomly found. It's all about the aesthetics and the tea tasted pretty good too! Def will come back to try more teas here. They even have milk-alternative options FYI. Inside feels super study vibes. They have some accessible charging stations by the large windows but not any I obviously saw by the "study area." There's also a small flower shop inside that's open Wednesday and another day. Look to have a alcohol selection in the back. I didn't try any food options. Sweetness levels are Asian mom approved! The fruit teas on the menu are really good. They achieve a good balance of sweetness for their drinks that can't be customized. It's on the pricey end but I the quality is certainly not slacking. The brown sugar boba milk tea is very subtle so if you're looking for something with a punch this prob ain't for you! Also had their Le Guava drink and the addition of grape with the guava is really good. Highly recommend this spot for working as there's plenty of seating and outlets. Lovely ambiance, even better drinks. Got the purple grape fruit tea with boba. The pearls are flavorful and just the right texture. First time having purple grape fruit tea and it reminded me of the Asian gummies I would eat as a kid! Only con is that the sweetness was non-adjustable and I prefer my boba to be mildly sweet. Have to agree with the crew of people who have already chimed in. It's in a really convenient spot in the neighborhood and I was looking forward to it opening. They have a variety of teas and boba. The peach berry frozen tea I got was really good and fresh. Definitely trying a boba next time I go. They have some outdoor tables and I'm looking forward to when their inside is available since they do have space to sit. Service was good. Very glad that a new tea shop opened up in the neighborhood! They have really tasty fruit teas in my opinion. My friend got the mango iced fruit tea and I tried the pineapple fruit tea and it truly tasted like pineapples. Great place to grab a drink and walk around in the area. I also can't wait for the shop to open up because it is such a cute ambience for people to meet/hang out and do work. Really refreshing and high quality tea drinks, albeit very pricey. I ordered the Strawberry Sunset (jasmine green tea with fresh strawberry) less sweet and the total was nearly $7... while it hurt me deeply to be paying that much for a tea drink, I have to admit it was very good. The tea flavor was strong and notable and the strawberries were blended in with the ice to create a nice refreshing texture. Definitely worlds better than other places that just use fruit syrup. For a drink that seemed pretty basic, I was actually really impressed by the quality of the taste; it must reflect how fresh the ingredients they use are. Found this new Debutea location and I love it! The cafe is so cute and allows socially distanced indoor dining. I usually get the drinks at Debutea and love them, but this time tried a Stewed Beef Poke Ball and loved it! The meat was tender and juicy, and the ingredients on the bowl were so fresh. Boba in NYC isn't hard to find, but good boba is. Debutea is one of the rare places that serves boba and has good seating - something I wish boba culture can copy from coffee culture. Came here with friends and their drinks are just a resounding good. The consensus is to order with less sugar, however. I personally got a cheese tea - four seasons. Flavor was well balanced - some nit items: I wish the cheese was a little saltier and the cup was in those hot coffee / latte cups to sip from to combine the cheese and the tea when tilted. Would have made the drinking experience a lot better. Overall, this is a great spot and I hope to drop by again to work-remotely soon! read more

It's so natural, made fresh on the spot, and tastes amazing. The staff is friendly and the space is huge. I got the frozen guava drink because I love guava and it was on the favorites menu. However, despite it being on of the more expensive drinks ($9), it was completely disgusting. It tasted like it was just blended ice and yet also had the texture of being extremely mealy. I had a meeting there so I just sat with it. After my meeting I went up and told them that it must've been made wrong because it was abhorrent and they refused to do anything. A dear friend's favorite boba place in the city, so I had to try it. Debutea has intricate drink options, with small medium large and XXL sizing for those that are super thirsty. The grape-kiwi drink with boba is probably my favorite drink, followed closely by the coco mango tea with lychee jelly. Not too sweet, freshly blended for both the milk and fruit tea options, although they are known for the fruit tea/fruit tea slushy options (I second this recommendation! Debutea serves delicious boba, not too sweet, with biodegradeble straws, reuseable plastic jars, and super cute everything. They claim all natural with no artificial ingredients. Tea was fragrant and well rounded. The boba is sweetened and tasty in complement to the tea, but it was also a bit clumpy today. The bio degradeable straw isn't as strong as a plastic one, so there's some awkwardness when you've got too much boba happening. Overall, very tasty! Would have again. read more

I had a bubble tea craving and no time to get one this weekend, so I discovered Debutea (via delivery service) and ordered the Purple Yam Boba tea and crab/lobster onigiri. This is the most incredible bubble tea I have EVER had. It's dense, it's flavorful, not overly sweet and this drink has a no ice option, which means more goodness to enjoy. You start by drinking through the straw, but then you should use a spoon to slowly savor all that purple yam boba bomb deliciousness. I loved it so much, I ordered it again today. Also, whatever genius came up with the sprinkling of umami joy on top of the onigiri needs an award of some form. And if it's bottled, I need to purchase copious amounts of it immediately. I must must must try the onigiri combo (too) one of these days. LOVE. read more

No chunky or old bobas in my drink which was expected/good. They do have some food options, ended up with a poke bowl which was fresh but lacked a bit in the provided sauce. Tried their Miss Jasmine Cheese Foam Milk Tea and it was interesting. The jasmine green tea was very aromatic and fragrant which I loved. This was the first time I tasted cheese foam and it's not bad! It added a salty, creamy flavor to the drink and I quite enjoyed it! They also had healthy snack/meal options. Normally, in the Downtown Brooklyn area, I've only been to Kung Fu Tea to satiate my boba craving in a pinch but not my favorite at all (if you like generic and artificially flavored drinks). Or, I go to my fave spots if I'm in Manhattan. But, I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place. Inside, it's super cute and aesthetically reminds me of a cafe in Seoul. The drink menu is diverse and interesting with creative concoctions beyond the standard flavors you find at regular boba spots. I went with a small Coco Mango and wow, it did not disappoint. Creamy, flavorful, and delicious can only begin to describe this drink. I loved the mango pieces and coconut jelly and the milk + coconut water combo. Although you can't adjust the sweetness level (I can't tolerate super sweet boba drinks and typically ask for 30% and sometimes zero...I know, it's like asking for a well done steak), this drink was perfectly sweetened. What's also great about this place is that they make their drinks with lactose free milk and if you're not into that, you can sub it with either soy (I believe it's free of charge) or almond milk (+$0.75). I will say it is quite pricey compared to other places ($6.75 for 16oz, $7.75 for 24oz), but it lives up to its price point with fresh and high quality ingredients used in their drinks. Besides, this is BK/NYC after all so you need to adjust pricing expectations. As transplant, I definitely missed my old spots back in Boston but so glad I found my new favorite boba place in Brooklyn. read more
