My mom loves some of their truffles, so I'm usually in buying for her or celebrating with a friend. Since I can't have dairy, my options here are limited. They do have dark chocolate bars that are pre-wrapped and dairy free. Their drink menu includes milk alternatives and hot tea, so there are a few options for me there when I do come in. The staff here has always been helpful and friendly when I've visited. Sometimes they get busy, and even then, they've served chocolates with a smile. They do have some seating in the front of the store, but it's limited. There's a small area in the back that you can rent out for events, and it makes for a cozy, intimate feel. The cutest chocolate shop! This place far exceeded my expectations. Although this location has been here for eight years, I had somehow never stopped in. They have a wonderful selection of truffles and chocolates to choose from to your desire. One of the managers greeted me and let me know if I needed any assistance. DeBrand Fine Chocolates is also known for their DeBrand Chocolate sundae that you can get to share with a friend or indulge yourself. It is a high quality ice cream sundae that you can choose your flavor of ice cream and toppings to put on the sundae. I have not tried it, but I have heard it is worth the price and tastes like a party in your mouth. The store is very organized with their displays and selection, and you can pick a box of truffles of your choosing, or get a pre-packed box of chocolates to take with you. I decided to get a few small boxes of chocolates with a variety of flavors for my coworkers. The staff were professional when they checked me out for my purchase, but they did not seem to be too happy to be there based on their body language and the way the acted towards me, but I figured it was a slow day for them and they were not getting much business, so it did not bother me at all. However, I thought a smile or some courtesy from the staff could have been more appropriate for them to do towards me as a customer of their establishment. For that reason, that is why I am not giving them five stars. Other than that DeBrand Fine Chocolates is a wonderful store and the chocolates are definitely high end and high quality. Saw a man stoped on a street with his door open. We stopped and asked if he needed help. Said no, just getting ready for the dentist. We get in the drive thru line and he drives up, gets out of his car beside us and thanks us and gives us two valentine wrapped chocolate called DeBrand.....it was absolutely delicious!! Even on what I'm sure is one of their busiest weeks, the staff were welcoming and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I tried the Connoisseur Collection, which was made up of creative chocolate filling toppings and divine flavor combinations. The box came with a nice printed guide that explained the flavors, and I was pleased to find that it's also on their website in case you want to refer back to it and lose the printed piece. One of my favorite chocolates in the collection was the Cassia, a cinnamon ganache in milk chocolate with a hint of pear. The Gingerbread was also fun, with crispy topping, caramel, and gingerbread flavored filing. I was surprised to find DeBrand goes beyond their famous chocolates to offer drinks and an ice cream menu. Wow! Amazing sundae and hot chocolate ! We were in Indy on vacation and needed a chocolate fix. We found this place in Yelp, and the pictures from Yelp lured us in. We got a hot chocolate and the milk chocolate Sunday with chocolate and caramel toppings with salted pecans. It was to die for! The ice cream was the creamiest and smoothest ice cream I've ever had. That's just the beginning. They dip the ice cream in a chocolate dip. It was so delicious and chocolatey and not at all waxy. Wow, just wow! The toppings were high quality and so tasty. The hot chocolate was thick and decadent. The whipped cream on top was authentic and tasted fresh made not canned or cool whip. I wish the Sundae had whipped cream on it! That would have been out of this world. If I'm ever in town again we will definitely go here! I highly highly recommend! Do not miss out! Finally made it here not long ago - I've tried their chocolates at a car event but haven't been to the store until now. The staff were very friendly and gave me a quick overview of everything they make. Turns out, it's not just chocolate and candy, they also have ice cream, gelato, and coffee. The chocolate was delicious but the service was disappointing. I was interested in a pre-made basket but the price on the basket was different than what rang up. When I brought it to their attention, instead of taking accountability the manager stated that a customer must've switched the tags because their staff wasn't capable of making that mistake. Not only did they not honor the price listed on the basket, the manager's disposition was very off-putting and slightly aggressive in his tone. Yes they are expensive, but oh so very good. The quality is amazing. The service makes you feel like royalty. Splurging ever so often is good for you. There are three main collections: Classic, Truffle and Connoisseur. Of course there are also pre-packaged options like the salted caramels I mentioned, but also cute seasonal treats. My favorites are the connoisseurs, specifically The Cassia and the Passion. Cassia is a Vietnamese Cassia cinnamon ganache with a touch of sweet pear in milk chocolate. Passion is a refreshing white chocolate-passion fruit ganache in milk chocolate. But wait.... there is more... You can also get fabulous coffees and sundaes here. My favorite of course is the affogato, which consists of gelato with a shot of espresso poured over. You can also get extra topping if you wish, such as walnuts or peanut butter. High end chocolate shop! Oh, it was such a lovely café. The workers were super friendly and made the process of our first time orders easy. My nieces opted to get the ice cream "sundae". They were able to pick their chocolate base, which was either milk or dark chocolate, vanilla ice cream on top, then topped with either almonds or pecans and two sauces (chocolate, caramel, tart raspberry). We were able to sample a few flavors while we made our decisions and the chocolate taste is amazing!!!!! Daughter had chocolate discs to sample and I had this amazing chocolate raspberry candy. The quality of the chocolate is equal to Belgian chocolate. The reason for this review is the incredibly kind,patient and knowledgeable staff and owners we met on Saturday May 24, 2025. Sydney greeted us immediately and spent about a half hour explaining all the different pieces and styles of the fine chocolates. She took a moment and went to get us samples of three different varieties. I called the owner over to compliment the store and Sydney. We ended up staying for about 2-3 hours during which time we bought not only many chocolate items but also an Iced coffee drink. Everything we tasted was far above expectations. I could only drink half of it because it was so rich and when I went to throw away the cup, I realized the rest of the hot chocolate had rehardened! This place is so cute! It's a small chain with only a couple locations in Ft Wayne and Indy. They have a little cafe on the inside and ice cream. I got a classic sampler and it was so good! I first heard about DeBrand when Sherman from FOX59 went there. He had one of their signature drinks and it looked amazing. I decided to stop by once I realized how easy their location was to get to, over by the fashion mall. It's a bit overwhelming when you walk into this chocolate heaven through the big glass doors. However, there's always been a woman ready to assist with a smile on her face at the counter. There's truffles, bars, regular chocolate pieces, etc. Quickly, you will see that the prices here are one the much higher end, even for a chocolate place, my only reason for one less star. When you taste the chocolate, you're not thinking about what it cost any longer, instead you're thinking, "Wow, just...wow." My favorite item there is the milk chocolate raspberry truffle. It's seriously so freaking good. I was told on my last trip that the most popular item is the dark chocolate raspberry cream and that some folks come in to buy 50+. I will be trying that on my next visit. I also love the salted peanut butter cup, toffee crunch, and key lime truffle. Honestly, I've liked everything I've had there. I got my husband two milk chocolate bars, which come packaged, one with locally popped popcorn and one with hazelnuts and sea salt - he have both two thumbs up. I tried a number of different dark chocolates (I'm not a fan of milk chocolate) and they all were good! They have a nice variety and I'm sure there's something for everyone. I grew up next to DeBrand and it has been a family favorite for as long as I can remember. We'd go here for dessert before Homecoming and have a nice photoshoot with the beautiful ambiance or stop in on a Sunday for a treat. I have travelled from east to west, Belgium to South America to Africa, I can confidently say, DeBrand has the finest, best quality chocolate I've ever had. I am not even exaggerating. The masterful craftsmanship of each chocolate piece is only amplified by the affordable price compared to some fine chocolates touted abroad. We're always greeted with a smile when we walk in and the employees are knowledgable and helpful in helping you decide what to get. My recent favorite is the truffle with mixed nuts on top - pleasantly surprised by the texturing of the layers of chocolate inside that overall created a 5 star experience in each bite!
