Can't go wrong with chocolate! I got a few of their toffees, a peanut butter delight, and whatever the vegan options were. All were eaten up with no complaints. Their milk, chocolate toffee was very OnPoint and I highly recommend. I also ordered an iced coffee which the lady working said they had coffee cubes or regular cubes. More coffee in my coffee? Hell yeah, that's what's up. Would I say make a special trip to just this place? No, probably not. First: the great. OMG fabulous chocolate OMG nomnomnomnom smoky black-strap caramels cloaked in creamy milk chocolate with sea salt peanut butter truffle perfect smoky toffee omnomnomnom... Next: the slightly less-so. Ambience was... sparse. Run-down. It reminded me of old artist squats in vacant warehouses, in my early college years... mostly, I think it's a studio space for the chocolatier to practice her art. Still, she served us a tray of chocolates and a cappuccino (the coffee beans were a bit acidic for my taste, but so nice to have a cappuccino with chocolate...) There aren't many places to buy local vegan chocolates in Indy. But Litterally Divine is one of those places! I needed vegan sweets for some teachers gifts, and I found that this chocolate shop had a good selection of vegan truffles, vegan toffee and more. I also picked up some traditional chocolates for non-vegan people in my life. There are a lot of truffles with interesting flavor combinations, like tangerine balsamic, blackstrap caramel and pink salt agave. There are also chocolate covered brownies, caramels, toffee and other sweet treats. All of their items are organic and locally sourced, and they make small batches, so what's there today might not be there tomorrow. They also sell ice cream and milkshakes! And they serve local coffee from Bee Coffee Roasters, as well as tea beverages. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that Litterally Divine isn't a horrible misspelling. "Litterally" refers to the owner's name: Litteral. Whew! Before I knew that, I thought I was going to have to write an email to some poor unfortunate business owner. We weren't sure it was open as the window displays were empty. We tried the door and low and behold they were. We came in just before closing so we kept it brief. I am so glad we came in. I had an almond toffee bar that I scarfed before I remembered I wanted a picture of it. Same for my hubby's peanut butter chocolate chunk ice cream. OMG! That ice cream tasted like peanut butter fudge with big chunks of yummy chocolate in it. The almond toffee bar was covered in almond shavings and chocolate and had pieces of almond inside. The raspberry, lemon, & lavender were excellent, but the lime tasted only like chocolate & the Indy was ok. I stopped in here to get some easter candy for my kids. My wife and I always go to a chocolate store and had heard good things about this one. They had vegan candy if you are looking for that. It was too bad I got here at lunch time as they had what looked like an excellent cafe with a variety of good coffee choices but I had already had my coffee fix for the day. We selected a variety of chocolates for easter and the do have some smaller bunnies. Also we chose some of the chocolates as well. They have some unusual combinations with sweet and spice to them. Also they offer two kinds of sark chocolate up to 70% which I was excited about as I love dark chocolate. Nice store and place to sit if you drinking coffee as well. read more

Best option for chocolate in Indy in my humble opinion...as not only do they have multiple vegan options but they are all tasty and melt in your mouth. Delicious! The spot is cute with booths as in an old soda fountain/drugstore lining one side and the chocolate and coffee/tea counter in back. They do serve ice cream but I haven't tried that option as who can pass up the truffles? My favorite is the vegan dark chocolate with cayenne but the other options are equally yummy. We always end a meal or visit to Fountain Square at this spot as we can relax, get that sweet something and linger over the delicious smells. read more

We stopped in to grab a few specialty sweets during our staycation in Indy. At first we weren't sure if they were open because it looked a bit empty from the outside. The chocolate case is all the way at the back of the store - and it was full of beautiful unique chocolates. We bought 3 truffles and one toffee - and they were amazing. I was surprised to see so many vegan options and so many varieties - like bacon toffee, honey chevre truffles, peach balsamic truffles, etc. One item that piqued my interest were the toffee crumbles for sale. I learned that Trader's Point Creamery puts them on their dessert items at their location! They had a few delicious flavors of gelato available as well as a selection of hot teas and espresso beverages (w/the full fancy espresso machine setup for custom beverages). I saw a sign on the front door that said something about "back patio open" and was eager to check it out. Its nice to know there is a quiet space to sit, but if you're seeking a luxe patio experience this may not be the spot for you to find that. I loved the selection, and the quality. I'd love to return for a visit and would be more likely to do so if the dining space and decor reflected the quality of the chocolates and felt a little more inviting. read more

Oh my god. These are literally divine, I feel as though I've been blessed to happen upon this when sight seeing the many murals this neighborhood has. I thought to myself "there's no way they'd have anything vegan, but I may as well check" They had goodies for like $1-2.60 a piece. That's unheard of. My eyes may be tearing up. What I got; Vegan Sweetalicous Truffle- I'm told this is a 50% chocolate made with I believe coconut milk and cocoa dusted. It was amazing. Nice chocolate shell with an amazing creamy (creme?) center. Better than those name brand truffles for sure. They also have a dark truffle that is 70% with almond milk, but I decided to rein myself in. I'm sure it is equally decadent. Vegan Double Chocolate Sea Salt Caramel- I think this one was only $1. That's insane. The caramel is SO smooth- it's even softer than cocomels, which if you're a huge vegan sweet tooth like me you'll know that's the top tier in vegan caramel. Delicious little morsel. They also have pink salt ones and some kind of spicy one? Very much worth a try. Vegan Toffee- so I'll admit it- I've never tried toffee before. I went vegan at 17 and that simply was never a thing, so I never tried it. The one i had was sprinkled with nuts on top and had some nuts on the inside (peanuts?). It was like a sugar firm glass-like bar covered in chocolate, that got softer as you chewed. Apparently you can also just let it melt in your mouth but I'm a goblin and didn't do that. This was an amazing experience, I recommend everyone go here and I will be raving about this to anyone who will listen read more

This cute, lil' chocolate shop in Fountain Square is so much more than chocolate. They have a variety of teas and coffees, so you can stop here even when you don't have a sweet tooth (although when you come by, you'll probably smell the delicious chocolate smell and be tempted anyways). They have a few booths and high top tables where you can work, enjoy your drink/chocolates, or have meetings. The owner is super sweet and you can tell she's a super hard worker. She's been making chocolates for years and is self-taught which is always impressive. I only got hot tea this time around, but my friends got chocolates and enjoyed them. I also saw AMAZING LOOKING chocolate toffee bits in cute packages on my way out, and I'm definitely coming back for those. I'm a sucker for toffee. Be back soon! read more

I really want this business to be successful and know they are just starting, which is why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 - and want them to earn 5 stars. I'll review again in 6 months. Overall: similar yet very different to the previous shop in this location (Funkyard Coffee). Funkyard sold Litterally Divine Chocolates, so if you liked those tasty treats, this is still happy. And the current shop sells the same coffee that Funkyard did (Bee Roasters) - so in many ways there is not a big change. So, first it is hard not to compare this shop to the former business in the location - Funkyard Coffee. I LOVED that place - loved. So I recognize my bias in having a new establishment in "my" place. DECOR: But it's difficult because there is a major decor change. Funkyard was focused on art and coffee with many local art pieces - this shop is focused on chocolate and also offers coffee from the same roaster as Funkyard (Bee Coffee). So where Funkyard was brightly lit with dozens of art Pieces on the walls, locally designed cards for purchase, prints for purchase, handmade jewelry, and records...this place is bare in comparison. I hate it, to be honest. I don't see myself spending time here, just running in for coffee or chocolate. Which is a bummer, because Fountain Square deserves a good coffee shop to hang out in. Anyways, the walls are rather bare with minimal decoration and either lights or broken or they are going for a darker mood, because it is not well lit. I hate that the chocolate case is not well lit. It was never this way at Funkyard, so boo. It just makes the shop seems less appealing and less clean, and more dingy. One positive thing about new decor: you can actually sit in the window seats now! Funkyard had them covered with art, so this is cool. MENU: As for the menu, about 12 different types of chocolates and she (the owner) makes them on site. Basic coffee plus some special coffees. Pretty minimal, so I'd like to see more. CUSTOMER: Customer service is good. The owner is usually there and she's nice. Overall - I look forward to seeing this establishment grow! I will keep supporting it. read more

Hubby and I were having lunch across the street and this place caught my eye. I can NEVER pass up chocolate. And I needed a girly birthday gift, so I thought this would be the perfect stop. The ladies working there are super friendly. They were helpful in making choices for my gift and myself. They were also patient considering my energetic two year old can be very distracting. But I have to say that I think I picked the wrong truffles for me....I can NEVER pass up peanut butter. Even if it's sprinkled with chipotle (I'm not a fan of spicy). For me, the small amount of chipotle sprinkled on top completely over powered everything. And the peanut butter inside just couldn't hold its own - it didn't seem to strike the balance of salty and sweet that I prefer. I get picky about salted caramels. So maybe you shouldn't listen to me, but I didn't find theirs to be special. My favorite of what I got was the goat cheese truffle. I liked it because it was simple and sweet. But it didn't have any cheesy tang at all to my surprise..... I also had the sour cherry truffle, which was nice. I'm not sure if I'd return or not....I was pretty disappointed, but I want so badly to give them another shot and be blown away! read more

Stopped in this past weekend while walking around fountain square. It's a cute chocolate shop that offers vegan treats! I'm not vegan, but I love when places offer vegan options. We picked up a truffle, chocolate bunnies, an egg, and peanut butter chocolate treat. They had some pretty unique flavor combinations for the truffles one I remember is the lemon coriander. I'm not that adventurous so I didn't get that one. They also sell homemade ice cream/gelato and coffee. It was pretty laid back and chill. Nothing too fancy, but the chocolates were great! I stopped in after reading numerous articles about the shoppe moving from Greenfield. This shotgun style business on the north side of Shelby has a great location for people exploring the fountain area of Fountain Square. When you walk in, there is a wall on the right that is where the owner makes all the chocolates in house. Pretty cool! Although there hasn't been much effort to decorate the place, we all know that we are here for the chocolate. The chocolates are on display towards the back of the shoppe. There are labels for each variety, most of them giving a fairly good idea of what to expect. There aren't any prices next to the chocolates, so it is a little awkward if you are concerned about the total bill you may run into if your chocolate-mania takes over. I haven't sampled many of the chocolates yet, but I think I enjoyed the caramels best. Very soft and easily melt in your mouth under the crisp chocolate outside. On my occasion, the almond toffee (served hard crack style) was slightly over roasted for my tastes...not burned by right on the edge. There are also varieties of truffles that are decoratively finished. I picked up the "Black and White" and the Raspberry. Although I don't eat chocolates often, I enjoyed stopping in and picking out some tasty pieces. Review #250 read more

A perfect chocolate fix right in Fountain Square! The first time we stopped here, we just moved to Indy and were exploring the city. Back then it was more of a coffee shop with smoothies, cookies and handmade jewelry and other trinkets. Now it is a sweet chocolate mecca! We had just finish shopping at Midland Arts & Antiques and decided to explore the city and neighborhoods. When we drove up and saw the sign talking about divine chocolates, I exclaimed...CHOCOLATE! My husband knew what needed to be done and he circled the block and pulled up right in front of the shop and said, "get us some chocolate and coffee..." He didn't need to tell me twice! I popped out and went in. I was greeted by a friendly young woman who took time to explain some of their more exotic offerings like Wasabi Truffle, Peanut Butter & Cayenne Truffles, Creamy Caramels, Chocolate Covered Pretzels. I got more than I anticipated because it all looked sooooo good! Glad we did and we will be back. I'd give this five stars if they up their coffee game :) read more

The white chocolate espresso ice cream was some of the best ice cream I've had in a long time! So rich and creamy! I'd highly recommend. Besides a small ice cream selection, Literally Divine has a case full of truffles and other chocolates that can be bought individually or as gift box. Unfortunately though, there is no difference in price per piece when buying larger quantities (6 or 12 pieces). As if this wasn't rich enough, you can pair your sweets with a coffee beverage as well. I really wanted to like this place but I just can't get behind the quality of the chocolate! The woman at the counter was extremely friendly and nice but the chocolate just was not good. Maybe I am a chocolate snob from working at Godiva in college? I don't know. I tried a caramel and a raspberry wasabi. The chocolate in the case had deeply bloomed (the temperature must have fluctuated to quickly or been dipped at too high of a temp) and I only say this because it would have not been presentable as a gift. It did not affect the taste at all, but the quality just wasn't there. It tasted sort of bland and the raspberry wasabi was not very flavorful at all. My boyfriend who loooooves chocolate and weird foods took a bite from the rasperry wasabi and went "eh" and that's about the best way to sum up the product. The interior was cute and the service was good. I would go again and try the coffee or maybe give the chocolate a second shot but overall the chocolate was just so-so. If it was called "Divine Coffee" and they happened to sell chocolate it would be one thing, but I expected a Chocolaterie to have well... high quality chocolate! I will end by saying they seemed to be lovingly created and I would go again to maybe see if I got a weird batch or something just because the woman at the counter was very nice and seemed really knowledgeable. read more

The menu is very slim - would love to see some specialty drinks like teas, tea lattes, iced teas. WE LOVE LITERALLY DIVINE CHOCOLATES! Stop in for coffee and chocolates when we're in Fountain Square. They offer excellent vegan (and non-vegan) hand-made, gourmet chocolates and vegan chocolate dipped brittle toffees of various flavors. They also have the delicious (& local) Bee Coffee Roasters' coffee available with milk alternatives for vegan and dairy-free individuals. A nice menu of specialty coffee drinks they make while you wait. Non-dairy/ vegan ice cream is also available. Literally Devine is a "must try" if you're in the area. read more

This place is nestled in the upper part of Fountain Square. My husband I stopped in here on a hot day for some iced coffee and lattes. The people here are SUPER friendly; however the decor is lacking and it looks like it is in need of some major renovations. This doesn't feel like a chocolate place or a coffee place. It feels a little bit like a half effort to be a little bit of both. I read some previous reviews saying they would be updating or even expecting more of this place in the future; however I am disappointed to say that future isn't here yet.
