I've gotten haircuts at Debe Salon before that were good so I decided to get a balayage here based on reviews that the pricing was reasonable. Let me tell you that this place was the MOST I've ever paid for hair coloring and balayage in my life and I've gone to Master hair colorists at luxury salons in the bay area too. Did the prices for hair products increase with Trump too??!? Sheesh. They were nice, talked me through the right shade for the balayage according to my skin tone and then she proceeded to take out a calculator to show me the cost. I was pretty shocked to see the cost, but I already made arrangements to get my hair colored that day so I begrudgingly agreed to proceed. Maybe I should have negotiated or asked if that total included tip? My hair is medium length and layered and the ash blonde/brown came out really nice, but I am still kicking myself for paying this much. I would have expected a nice head massage, complimentary tea or something for paying this much with a balayage, but it was a professional balayage with basic service/experience. read more

Everybody gave me so many compliments and I am just so in love with my hair every time he cuts it. He is precise and thorough and pays attention to detail to make sure each cut is perfect and balanced. He truly is a master at his craft. Need to be more transparent about their pricing practices. The hair stylists are great. They give good haircuts, are friendly and professional. They communicate well with you. I particularly like Angel. She is great. BUT! The listed price is never what they will charge you and I'm sure it's a store policy thing that the stylists are pushed to do. If the board says $55, you will be charged at least $70, even with shorter hair. I saw this happen with every client that came through, they always expressed shock at the register. To be honest, I'd be willing to pay for a $70 from their stylists if they were upfront with the price since they ARE good but something about the way they do this always makes you walk away feeling cheated. They should just be more straightforward about it. Other salons put something like a price for short hair and then a price for long hair and stick to that. Putting a low price and then writing "and up based on work" is bound to mislead customers and lead to disagreements. read more

I needed a new place for a haircut and decided to give Debe Salon a try based on the reviews. I did make an appointment online with any stylist which made it easy to find a time that works. I walked in 5 min early and I was greeted by staff and was immediately set up with Angel. The salon was busy and the stylists were with customers who sound like regulars based on conversations I heard which to me was a good sign. I enjoyed the shampoo cause received a mini scalp massage and the wash chairs were great with these neck supports that make it comfortable for shorter folks. I showed Angel a picture of a style I wanted with layers and I got exactly what I wanted. Also the cost was fair--women's haircuts start around $50 per website and I was charged $75 plus tipping 20% ($90) which was fair. Sent my daughter to this place because of the good reviews I had read and she just needed a simple trim. My daughter expressed to me how uncomfortable she was during the whole appointment. When her hair was being washed by Angel she smacked the towel on her face and was being pretty rough with her and when she was asked to move to the chair to get her hair cut she nudged her pretty hard on the back to get up two times. Angel was very rough during the blow drying process as well and didn't use any heating products. The haircut took about 15 minutes total. The price on their website stated $55 and up for a women's haircut and per other reviews I knew it was not going to be $55 and sure enough the price was $75 when she was done. She didn't get anything special just a trim which I wouldn't mind paying if she got good service and treatment. Unfortunately I can not recommend this business. read more

It's me again. I got my hair cut on Oct 17 and it looked ok when I left. However, after living with it for a few days I am very unhappy. The girl who cut my hair never asked me how short or how long I want it. She just started cutting. When I got home and really looked at the back it is so short, way up to the hair line and it's even uneven on the right side. I recently got my makeup and hair done at this salon by Joanne. The makeup was absolutely horrible!!!!!!!! LOOKED LIKE A 5 YEAR OLD DID IT. First she didnt even ask me for inspo pics and just did whatever she wanted despite me verbally vocalizing what I was looking for which was a face full glam. I just wanted natural eye shadow, I brought my own lashes and I wanted full face with heavy contouring especially on nose so it looks good for pics. I even brought the foundation shade I use at home so she can match to the professional product I thought the salon would have but instead all she did was apply Moisturizer, use my OWN foundation I brought, then applied glitter eyeshadow with her fingers, applied eyeliner then used a powder to touch it up and then applied lipstick and lipliner and lipgloss and thats it. I do my own full face at home and there was no contouring done, or bronzer or skin prep or anything most MUA's do. I get makeup done a lot so I know she had no idea how to do makeup. The products also looked very cheap like dollar brands. Not to mention my lips even looked like a two year old did it. She was not hygienic and used old brushes and applied the lipstick and liner straight from the tubes, she didnt even bother to ask what lipstick color I wanted. Not to mention I made the appointment for 10am she texted me asking if I want to come in at 9:15am instead I said sure and she MADE ME WAIT HALF AN HOUR!! Didn't start on me till 9:45am. I'm only giving two stars instead of 0 because she gave me a hair wash and straight blowout after I told her now shes made me late to my hair appointment but she was so rough and it was hurting my head the whole time. I'm someone who gets makeup done and blowouts all the time and this is the absolute worst service ive ever received, I never ever leave reviews but I had to because the makeup was not worth $90 to look like a toddler did it. The most disappointing salon experiences I've ever had. I was in town for a funeral and needed a last-minute blowout. I was relieved to find an appointment online that worked with my schedule. However, when I arrived, I was told by the stylist that they had no idea about my booking--and worse, they don't even do blowouts. Apparently, the owner schedules appointments on behalf of stylists without confirming with them first. I explained that I was preparing for a funeral and that time was sensitive. Instead of offering comfort or a solution, the stylist vented about his own issues with the owner. I was already emotional and ended up in tears during the appointment, yet there was no compassion shown by anyone. To make matters worse, I was still charged $60, despite the stylist admitting he didn't know what to do with my hair. Another stylist nearby did know how to do a blowout but refused, saying she didn't want to risk locking her shoulder working with my hair type. In the end, my hair was fried and I left feeling even worse than when I walked in. This experience was not just unprofessional--it was deeply upsetting during an already difficult time. I arrived on time for my appointment with Angel at 12:30 and finished shortly before 1pm. She washed and cut my hair within 30 mins?? It felt really rushed and the cut shows considering how botched it looks. I asked for a long layered cut but the layers turned out uneven and choppy. The layers weren't blended, bangs were uneven with one side thicker and longer than the other, and my hair was also uneven. I did go back couple hours later for her to even out the back, however, it STILL wasn't the haircut I wanted.
