I've been going to Dee since 2018, and I honestly can't imagine trusting anyone else with my hair. She is incredibly talented and consistently leaves my hair looking exactly how I envision it every single time. I'm leaving this review for a new stylist at Salon Elysian, Maria!! I have been going to her for years now and she never disappoints! She always does a little consultation at the beginning to make sure you are both on the same page about what the final result should be. She is also really good at picking up on something you might not be sure about and will always tell you the truth about up keep on a style. This is great for me because I'm a low maintenance girly and appreciate that she will tell me maybe red isn't the best options for me based on up keep. Not only does she want to give you the hair of your dreams, but she wants to make sure she keeps your hair healthy. I've had problems in the past with stylists who just slap on some bleach and use the toner as a fix it. Which kind of leaves you with a mess once your toner washes out. My hair pulls really golden and I still don't have a problem with feeling too brassy when I've gone to Maria. Last time she toned my hair once in about a year and a half because it still looked so good! My hair is one of the pieces of me that is so important and I truly don't feel good without it being perfect. I have never left her chair not having it be just that!! Came here because there were so many good reviews on Google for this place and it's close to my work area. Street parking is pretty available around the area or if you choose to, I'm sure you could just walk from the Safeway plaza parking. There's only 2 stylists here so appointments are encouraged. I booked my haircut with Monica. She asked me what I wanted and made sure I left with the desired bang length. We talked a bit in the beginning and stopped when i didn't want to talk anymore (have some social anxiety). I liked that she didn't push meaningless convo, sometimes quiet is also nice. I got my hair cut here and I absolutely loved it! Dee was my stylist and she made sure we were on the same page about length and my layers. She blended my layers (that I was previously unhappy with) out beautifully. I love my face framing pieces as well! After my cut, she styled my hair with the blow dryer and I don't think my hair has ever looked better. Super cute salon with great music and warm, friendly staff. I've been coming here to see Monica for a few years now and every time my hair turns out great. She usually gives me tough up highlights but I decided to do something different and go for a cut and more of a auburn color. As a woman in her late forties, my hair isn't what it used to be. I have gone to many a salon in my time and not once, ever, have they been able to give me the color I want or even close to the picture I show them. I have been to Dee twice now. Once in March of 2021 and again in Feb 2022. She listens and has matched the picture I showed her exactly both times. Today I did what I've always wanted to do and every other hairdresser has said no to, claiming it's too dark for me. My hair looks amazing. The colors are gorgeous. The cut is amazing.
