LOVE Salon Paloma I love my new hair! I've been wanting a change and decided on some extensions to give my hair extra length. Paloma is incredible- She listens to exactly what you want and takes extra care in delivering a beautiful result. Highly recommend! The stylists are so nice. The salon itself is aesthetically pleasing, clean, and just overall gorgeous inside. I've had a great experience at each appointment and walk out feeling so beautiful! Paloma was great! My normal hairdresser was moving so I really wanted to try this place since it's really pretty! AND I was in desperate in need of some TLC. My hair was dry and super overgrown. I was there for 3 hours and she did a trial hair color like sample of what she could do which was subtle but a nice change. She worked some cutting magic and blow dried my hair in 20 min which was the fastest I've ever seen. read more

A friend of mine referred me to Salon Paloma and I am so happy she did! I am a first time mom who was in need of some self care. I booked a haircut with the owner Paloma - who by the way is super sweet & friendly. My hair feels healthy, moisturized and shiny. I also have to say the vibe of the salon is amazing from the overall aesthetic, music and drink menu. I can't wait to become a regular customer. read more

So glad to have found this gem in San Carlos! The welcoming and stylish atmosphere drew me in, but what keeps me returning is how I look and feel after each visit. July always does a great job with my hair - she goes beyond covering the grays to tame the frizzies and create a smooth look - and it lasts a month or more! I've gotten compliments on my hair from friends and know it's due to Salon Paloma. If you've not tried it, check it out and see the improvement yourself. read more

Salon Paloma - July did a great job on shaping and styling my hair - and it lasted through the evening! - Hair Stylists Near Me - San Carlos, California

Got my haircut here for the first time and had a wonderful experience. My hair was washed really well and even got a little massage! July did a great job making my cut a reality. She made sure my part was where I liked it and that she didn't cut off too much. Overall, I was very happy with my haircut. The salon is very cute and has a beautiful vibe. I felt very relaxed overall! read more

What drove me to try this salon, was the reviews I read on Yelp. I was looking for someone local that specializes in Balayage. I read great reviews about Alyssa & now I know why. She is very good at this technique, easy to get along with, and a listened to my needs. I am very particular about my hair and she nailed it the first time! I felt like I was glowing walking out of Salon Paloma. The salon has a modern, chill atmosphere. Made my next appt. to go there again. read more

Would recommend, cute clean vibe, reasonable prices I went to get my grays covered and also tone my hair wash ,no blow dry $125. The price that was quoted is what I left paying ( I've had some bad experiences where the price increases after service). If you don't like small talk or hearing a strangers person stuff or being interviewed this is the place. Perfect for the introverts. Happy with the service w/ July. read more

My hairdresser of 26 years retired and so sadly I needed to find someone new. My sister has always loved her haircuts by Paloma, so I made my appointment with her and my new style looks amazing! Paloma is a perfectionist and genuinely enjoys the art of cutting hair beautifully. I even got complimented on my new doo and that's saying a lot for an older gal! Thanks Paloma! read more

I came in looking for a standard haircut/trim since my usual hair stylist is all the way in Los Gatos and I've been looking to find someone in the peninsula for the little stuff. I'm very impulsive when it comes to getting haircuts (I.e. I don't like planning in advance so if I see my hair is looking a little limp and need a clean up, I need to do it right away. Luckily I was able to book relatively quickly and easily on their website. The pricing varies from the level of the stylist but overall pretty reasonably priced/standard pricing ($$) of a nice salon. The studio is right off of El Camino Real so it's a little hard to find parking but if you're lucky, you can park on the street. The space itself is super cute and cozy. I went right before Christmas and it was decorated for the holidays. I believe there are only a handful of chairs and 3 stylists who work there so it's not very big but it's perfect for an intimate setting where you can actually have a conversation with your stylist without trying to talk over a bunch of other people and blow dryers. I just got a trim (with long layers) so nothing dramatic but Alyssa did a good job and we discussed some options if I wanted to color my hair. read more

Warning: Here's another review about how hard it's been for me to move and find all new members of my team Lol TLDR: Alyssa is wonderful :D I got one last cut and color from my longtime stylist before leaving Vegas 9 months ago - and have put up a total fight with myself about going to anyone else. I've seriously been considering just flying back to Vegas and keeping my same stylist, doctors, etc! Well, I finally just couldn't stand it any longer, tbh, the next person to touch my hair could have shaved it all off and it would've been a vast improvement, so all risk has been removed at this point. Lol With nothing left to lose, I booked an appointment at Paloma. I was a bit nervous when I was told my stylist, Alyssa, didn't speak English, but like I said, I was desperate to just get it done, so F it! Well, to my surprise, Alyssa totally spoke English and was super pleasant - and, most importantly, she did an AMAZING job on my neglected tresses!! I feel soooo much better, not just with my fresh hair cut, but that I found another great person to add to my army - thank you, Alyssa!! read more

I had a great first experience at Paloma. July (pronounced Julie) did my hair confidently and quickly. She didn't chatter a lot, and the Salon had a good vibe to it. I'm very happy with my hair. read more

Paloma has been doing my hair for a few years now and I've never left an appointment feeling any less than obsessed! Not only is she amazingly talented, but she is also such a pleasure to spend time with (and we all know how long these hair appointments can be). She always picks the perfect hue to compliment my skin tone, the best cut for my face shape, and I've never had to restyle it when I get home. For the past couple years I've been experiencing serious hair loss that I'm still trying to figure out, so I've decided to try out hair extensions. I wish I had a before picture to show what a difference it has made in my life, but with the extensions I finally feel confident again! They're easy to maintain in between visits and I'm constantly getting compliments on my hair. When I reveal that most of what you see here is extensions, no one can believe how natural they look. They have been life changing!! Aside from all that, the salon is so cute and I just love all the plant babies. Go see Paloma! read more

If could give 10 stars I would! Absolutely loved my whole experience here! First, I had a previous cancellation from a different salon and I really needed to get my hair done before an upcoming trip and would be free only for that day and so I called Salon Paloma in the morning and they had an opening that same day due to a cancellation! The stars aligned and was truly meant to be! The salon space was very clean and aesthetically pleasing: exposed brick walls, brass hardware, and the vibe is wonderful! All of the staff were so nice and Paloma was very sweet and I definitely felt heard about my hair concerns and she did an awesome job! I was thrilled with the end outcome and she got the look I wanted to a T! She even offered me to be added to their lunch orders in case I was hungry which was so thoughtful of her! If you want quality hair and an awesome time, definitely book here! I already booked my next appointment and I can't wait. read more

This is such a nice salon and the staff is wonderful. The front of the building is cute, with a nice A-frame sign to help identify the storefront. I was able to easily park on the street just steps away from the entrance. They also have parking in the rear of the building and a lovely back entrance. Once inside I was really impressed. The furniture & decor is striking - simple, tasteful and bright. I adore all of the plants!! I immediately felt relaxed and happy! Paloma and her staff were welcoming and full of good vibes. Paloma spent time talking to me about my curly locks which have always caused me such frustration. She has curly hair herself - and offered some new tips and tricks to try. I left swinging my hair back and forth and feeling sassy & fabulous. I will definitely return. read more

Salon Paloma - Hair Stylists Near Me - San Carlos, California

I got a haircut by Paloma. While she was very nice, I absolutely hate my haircut. I asked for a trim with layers and face framing pieces, the haircut I got was way shorter than I had anticipated, super choppy and uneven, as shown in the photo with no blending. The right side layers are way shorter than the left, and although not pictured, my face framing pieces are horrible with super blunt cuts and no shape or layering to them. She also cut one random strand of hair super short in the back, and made my face framing pieces way heavier than they originally were. I paid for the service as I'm bad with confrontation (as I'm sure many of us are) but this is NOT a $100+ quality haircut. read more

I Have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. Paloma is not only definition of a stylist , she has master her craft at the utmost level. Her expertise on design , quality is unparalleled. I went to her to Get my hair colored ( honey brown ) and I was blown away on how precise the step by step instructions were. Very rare to see that from other hair stylist I have seen in the past. The facility is magnificent, clean and very high scale. The service that she and her staff provide is astounding. If I could rate this salon a 10 , I would in a heart beat. I found my new home and more than happy with my results. read more

I drove by a few times and noticed how cute the salon was. Good thing I stopped in after trying some Burlingame places recently moving from LA. Had a haircut and glaze with Paloma which is exactly what I needed. She knew exactly the shade and what cut looked good for my fine hair type. Was also able to clean up by brows with the salons resident threader/waxer Kritika. Overall, really looking forward to making this my go to salon. Love the vibe and quality of service. read more

My first time getting my hair done at a salin and I have to say Paloma is amazing. I have extremely curly and thick hair and I wanted to get it dyed bright red. Every other hair stylist that I had talked to had told me to not do it and that the bleach would ruin all of my curls no matter what. And to make this even more of a challenge I had dyed my hair previously with red box dye and topped it with black box dye that I had bought at Walgreens. She took her time and worked her magic on my hair. She bleached, cut it, and dyed it bright red exactly how I wanted it and every single one of my curls bounced back even healthier than they were before! She sent me home with great hair products to maintain my hair and my hair didn't feel even a little bit dry even after all the processing I have been too! Please do your hair a favor and book your next appointment at Paloma's! read more

I just had a fantastic haircut with Paloma. I have long layers and thick hair and amazingly she found a way to cut my hair so that it is even, has movement, beautiful layers, and body. The cut is perfect! Also, she is the first stylist in my entire life who did not pull my hair. I have a sensitive scalp, but Paloma is so gentle and I was comfortable the entire time.
