I'm so happy I found a salon I love that's so close to me!!! Milena is amazing!!! She did such a great job at making my hair look gorgeous and listening to what I wanted (also does amazing wedding hair!). The salon is so elegant and clean! And I love that they have a variety of beverages available while you get your hair done! I will most definitely be going to Milena as long as she doesn't get tired of being my hair therapist haha read more

Maloree is a master at adding brightness and movement while strictly respecting the 'brunette boundary.' Has it really been 3 years?? James is the only stylist in my 14 years of living here that I have returned to over and over again. He is THE BEST! James is a fabulous stylist who always revives my hair (because I'm terrible at coming in on a regular schedule), giving me cuts that are suitable for my age but not out of fashion (important), encourages self care and is SUPER professional about his recommendations for hair care. He's a great listener and often can sense what I'm trying to express about my hair before I even say it. At the same time, he is FUN and a major delight to spend time with and absolutely feel like catching up with a friend every time. James is a master at reading your vibe and adjusting as needed so if you need a more mellow vibe, he will easily adapt to that as well. As you all know, it takes time to build trust with your stylist and I'm beyond happy to include James in my self care routine. My stylist was nice and the place has a good vibe. However, I had an issue with the quality of the work. I wanted warm highlights that looked natural since I have very dark hair. Unfortunately, the stylist I had gave me more like blonde highlights. When she bleached my hair, I was concerned since typically the highlights I get are so warm that they don't require bleaching. She saw I was concerned, told me that if I didn't like it because it was too light, I could always come back and get it redone, which made me feel better and I appreciated. She continued the work and it ended up being way too light compared to the pictures I had shared and what I had asked for. That evening I reached out asking to get it fixed. She kindly scheduled it for me and I went in after a few days to get a darker toner to get it to what I had originally asked for. However, to my surprise, at the end of that 2nd visit, I was asked to pay $200. I payed, went to my car and cried. I felt that there was an opportunity here for the stylist to let me know during my 1st visit that fixing it would have been at my expense. I appreciate and value their time so I probably would have still come in and payed for it but it felt misleading to tell me on the 1st visit they could fix it early on when the work was being done, to then have me come in a 2nd time and surprise me with a large bill at the end. I went home and despite it all was happy to be done although I had at this point spent so much money and hours on this - but it doesn't end there and this is the hardest part... my hair was red on the back. I didn't notice it at the salon because the front looked fine, but when I got home and looked at the back with a mirror, I had many red strings. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I reached out to the stylist with pictures and she was apologetic and told me she wouldn't have let me leave the salon if she would have seen the red strings. I have a hard time with that statement because she blow dried my hair, there were easily 10+ red strings so there is no way she would have missed it. I ended coordinating coming in a 3rd time. Multiple experienced stylist evaluated my hair at that visit to try to figure out why my hair was red. They ended up realizing the stylist had used a toner that was red based by mistake. Ultimately, one of the stylist fixed it. I was clear from the beginning that I was not expecting to pay for that 3rd visit and appreciated them reassuring me that I did not have to pay for it. At the end of all of these visits, many hours, tears, and $590 later, I was happy to put this behind me and move on. 6months have passed and unfortunately, my red strings have come back. I'm assuming this is as I continue to wash my hair and the toner dies down. My hair is destroyed and very unhealthy at this point from all the treatment. Now I need to invest more money to fix the resurfaced red strings. I am sharing this because I want others to be aware of confirming ahead of time if there is a cost involved should there be a fixing visit that is offered and make sure you look at the back of your hair before you leave. Giving it a 2 star review for the friendliness of the staff and because the experienced stylists looked very knowledgeable. I really wanted it to work out but unfortunately that did not happen for me. I called Salon 1322 after reading the reviews and chose Deb as my stylist because of her ideals on going back to ones natural root color for low maintenance style. By sheer luck she had a cancellation for the next day and I was able to be seen. I hadn't gotten my hair done in quite some time due to my fears of some past bas bleaching, but deb re assured me with time and processing we could get back to my root color. Her keen attention to detail and genuine passion for her craft was very evident. She took the time to listen attentively to my preferences and concerns, ensuring that she understood exactly what I wanted and she also taught me how to properly use my curling iron and didn't pressure me to get any products! I went back the next week to grab some when I tested them out again and I'm really grateful I did! Back in 2018, I found my hair hero, Katie, and I haven't looked back since! She's the wizard behind my ever-changing hair adventures--from blues and purples to my latest situation: a pink and purple split dye that turns heads wherever I go. I'm a bit camera-shy, otherwise, I'd post photos to show off her work. Total strangers compliment my hair almost every time I go out in public. That's the Katie effect for you. Now, let's talk money, because I see a few reviews mentioning the high prices. Yes, it's a pretty penny at this salon, but it's worth every cent. My hair is super thick and hard to lighten, but Katie works her magic, lifting it several times a year without fail. And despite my near-daily heat styling, my hair is still relatively healthy and thick, all thanks to the Salon's top-notch products and Katie's skills. I've had pieces of hair literally break off after a lightening session at cheaper salons. So I'm willing to pay premium prices for a premium experience. Also, the whole team at the salon is just as lovely as the atmosphere at this salon. I've never had a negative experience with ANYONE. And someone always offer me snacks, drinks, reading material, etc. So there you have it! I'll probably end up posting another update in another 6 years, and it'll be the same story, just with different colors. I'm not going anywhere else anytime soon. read more

I had initially come in after a friend recommended me to her and I can't imagine going elsewhere for my coloring needs. Before I go on about how great James is, I just want to put out there that my hair is so, so flat and I very rarely have a "great hair day." Also, I get this weird hair separation thing where the front part of my hair (I have long bangs) separates from the rest of my hair and falls on my face. I'm not sure if that's because of how my hairline is but it's annoying and makes it look like I have a bald spot at certain angles. Anyway, I had the pleasure of having James as my stylist for a wedding this past weekend. He asked me what look I was going for so I told him some ideas I was thinking of and some concerns that I had about my hair (straight, flat hair that doesn't hold curls very long, oily scalp, and of course that weird hair separation thing). After our conversation, I asked James for some loose waves, and not only did I get loose waves that stayed all day (seriously, from 12pm to 1am!), but he gave me the volume that I wish I could have everyday! He was very professional and explained the products he used and what each product does. I've never had anyone do that before! He used quality products and my scalp didn't itch at all (I have sensitive skin) and my hair stayed put-- it didn't separate! This is a BIG deal for me. I previously saw Melanie (who does an amazing job) but needed to switch due to my schedule changing so I was no longer in sync with Melanie's availability. I've been seeing Kaitlyn for a while now, and she does a fantastic job (and is just a lovely person in general!). It's great to have a salon where you could see any of their stylists and reliably get the same high quality. I will definitely continue to be a repeat client!

Both stylists (a mother-daughter combo) are super nice and very sweet to him. He has always felt comfortable and even lets them buzz the clippers by his ear. They are very accommodating and easy to get a hold of. We made a call and they let us know which time slots would have less traffic and to come in then. They jotted our name down and we came at the appropriate time. I have also seen walk-ins come in without a problem. They serve adults and children alike. My experience with Belmont Hair Studio was from my son's visits as I cut my own hair. They are fair with their prices and will get you in and out of there in a jiffy! She always does a little consultation at the beginning to make sure you are both on the same page about what the final result should be. She is also really good at picking up on something you might not be sure about and will always tell you the truth about up keep on a style. This is great for me because I'm a low maintenance girly and appreciate that she will tell me maybe red isn't the best options for me based on up keep. Not only does she want to give you the hair of your dreams, but she wants to make sure she keeps your hair healthy. I've had problems in the past with stylists who just slap on some bleach and use the toner as a fix it. Which kind of leaves you with a mess once your toner washes out. My hair pulls really golden and I still don't have a problem with feeling too brassy when I've gone to Maria. Last time she toned my hair once in about a year and a half because it still looked so good! My hair is one of the pieces of me that is so important and I truly don't feel good without it being perfect. I have never left her chair not having it be just that!!
