I came to the salon to change my hair color with Amy. My hair looked orange and I asked her to change the color and at first the color came out well and I asked if the color would change after washing it and she said no. but after I washed my hair once a week for three weeks my hair lightened a lot. I was upset that I spent $500 for a bad result, and came in to get toner done. She was very rude in interacting with me and told me to go somewhere else if I didn't like the result. Also, she told me that a $100 tip was required when I first came in, because I used a debit card so I was forced to pay an extra 100. I had another appointment with her made, and I texted to reschedule, but she canceled it and rudely told me she didn't "feel comfortable doing my hair anymore". Amy is a very rude hairstylist and had terrible service. I'm not recommend her for any one. read more

I just love this place and my hair stylist Yoriko. If I can give her 6 Starts, I would. When I was working, I had my hair short with highlight. I got so many compliments from co-workers and they wanted who my hair stylist was. After my retirement, I decided to let my natural color with grey go. I still get many compliments even from strangers whom I met in the supermarket or gym. It is very hard to change your hair stylist or dentist once you connect with them and get a good vibe. I am not sure what I am going to do if Yoriko decides to retire. read more

I have been coming here for more than 2 years and I really appreciate the service and beyond very satisfied with my hair cut and color. Yoriko is an excellent and seasoned hair stylist. She knows what color and hair style would fit you but still she takes time to listen and make recommendations. I come every 6 weeks and in between I enjoy my cut and color! My friends love the color so much I referred them to come to her. In terms of this salon, it is clean, beautifully decorated and very spacious. The atmosphere is cheerful and comfortable. Parking on the street is easy. Can't say enough how I like this stylist and salon. Ask them how much they would charge for your hair cut or color before coming so you know what you are expecting. I recently visited Studio La Vie for the first time and completely enjoyed the peaceful, clean and new salon. I have complete trust in my stylist, Yoriko, and her skills as a hair cutter and colorist - I've been a client of hers for almost 20 years. She is always professional and never fails to do a good job. I will most definitely be back for my cut and coloring needs and look forward to seeing Yoriko again. My only complaint would be that Yoriko is always fully booked, as she is always in high demand with her loyal clientele. The thing I appreciate the most about Amy is that she does a lot of continuing hair education so she's always hip to the latest trends and techniques. Also, the salon is really beautiful. Love the salon, it's has great music and amazing environment. I love that they have smocks available to change into should you be inclined. My stylist is Amy 4088170996 and she's AMAZING call her directly for an appointment!!! She took time to give me a consultation and gave me great advice about getting a balayage versus partial balayage. Also have thick hair so she did a great job of thinning it out. Hi! I've been following Yoriko to every salon forever! She has always given me a terrific haircut and color for years. I have recommended her to many friends with all happy with her talent and care. She recently moved to Salon La Vie in San Carlos. Although I need to drive farther for my hair she is so very worth it! The salon is exceptionally clean, bright and welcoming. Parking is extremely easy and neighborhood fun and attractive with many fine restaurants. I cannot recommend her more highly. Truly 5 star! read more
