At the beginning of my appointment, Niki made sure to understand what I wanted for my haircut and was considerate of what I envisioned while also providing recommendations, which I really appreciated. During the haircut, Niki was careful and detail oriented, all while checking in with me to ensure I was comfortable. My haircut turned out amazing and it feels so much lighter and fresher, which is exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be back! Side note: I told Niki that I was having a very difficult day and she was completely empathetic and understanding of my quietness. I appreciated that so much and it shows me how much care they put into not just their service, but also their clients.

The lady who cut his hair was fast (took probably 20 min total). She knew exactly what kind of cut I wanted (2 block hair cut). And because his hair was so long in the back, she double checked before cutting that I wanted to cut it off (much appreciated!). My son's hair was short on the top so she didn't cit length but did blend it (see pics). The place itself was clean and spacious. The cut itself was $45 without a wash, which is a couple dollars cheaper than other places I was looking up. I'd come here again.

Before the haircut, I clearly explained that I had just gotten my hair cut at another salon two…read moredays earlier and that I wasn't looking for a completely new haircut--I only wanted some adjustments to achieve the style shown in the photos of me before. I specifically asked if the stylist understood the issue and knew what needed to be done, and I was assured that they did. Unfortunately, once the haircut started, there was no communication about how much hair would be removed. The very first cut on the sides was much shorter than I expected, and at that point there was no way to undo it. If the stylist had explained their approach or confirmed the length with me first, I would have had the opportunity to say that it wasn't what I wanted. What disappointed me most wasn't just the final result--it was the lack of communication. When a customer brings reference photos and asks questions beforehand, I expect the stylist to explain the plan and make sure we're aligned before making irreversible changes. I left feeling that my concerns and the reference photos were not really taken into account. I hope the salon can improve communication with customers in the future so others don't have the same experience.

I went to this salon a couple weeks ago after a recommendation from my best friend (who goes to Karla) and had my hair done by Amy, and drove all the way from San Francisco to Artistry to make I ended up getting a cut and highlights from Amy. Personality wise, she was okay. She wasnt rude, but not very friendly or welcoming. She seemed distracted, and uninterested in my requests. I started feeling uneasy about my hair as soon as the foil came off. It was nothing like the color I showed her in the picture. But, I figured she is the pro, I'll wait and see how this goes. When my hair was done, I was not very impressed. I gave it a day or 2 to see if maybe the color had to settle, but I was still not pleased. I called the salon and they offered to have me come in and try to fix it, but I opted to pass, because I felt like they were irritated by my concerns. Sonia Eppler is not only a wonderful stylist, but a delightful, intuitive person. She makes every client feel as though you are her only client. I have been going to her for my color and cuts for many years and have never been disappointed with the results.
