    Pork fresh roll

Food: 4/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 We still like coming to eat here. When we do, we often get take out for my parents as they also love this place but they don't like leaving the house much. Food: To eat at the restaurant I ordered the shrimp fresh roll & pork fresh roll. Hubby ordered the chicken wings for appetizer. For a main dish he ordered the lemongrass beef with rice. I have had the shrimp roll before & it's good. I really liked the pork fresh roll. That was surprisingly tasty. The chicken wings were messy but really yummy. They were still steaming when they came to our table. It was a honey garlic flavour with some nuts sprinkled on the top & green onions as well. Hubby really liked his lemongrass beef & rice. For take out we ordered the chicken with rice, chicken pad thai, shrimp pad thai, beef vermicelli & rare beef pho. I almost forgot to mention I got one of their desserts with the coconut milk, jelly & red bean. So delicious! We really like their food. The portions are great for the size of the dish. Everything is seasoned well. The pad thai is marked as spicy but it's not really that spicy which is fine for me! LOL. Service: There were only 3 servers at the restaurant. A young man, a young woman & an older woman. This location might be family run? I'm not sure. In any case, the servers handle all the customers really well. And they are nice too! The food also comes out quickly. One thing I noticed though, the appetizers don't come out first. I got my shrimp roll & pork roll first. Hubby got this beef & rice when I was almost finished my rolls. Then the chicken wings were last. LOL. It would have been nice to get all the appetizers around the same time. But it's not a dealbreaker. Ambiance: The music is a bit loud here. A mixture of different music. Some of it sounded like K-pop. I couldn't tell because none of the music was in English. Anyway, Dear Saigon is brightly coloured with yellow. The upholstered seats are green. There are light wood tones in the space as well. The booths have dark upholstery. It looks like black from where we sat. The washrooms are down the stairs. Two stalls for ladies. And the washroom was clean. One thing to note, be careful near the front entrance if the tiles are wet. There is a rug there but it doesn't absorb all the water. Hubby & I came here one time after a large snowfall & the floors were very wet & slippery. The stairs to the washrooms are near the front entrance & I almost slipped down the stairs because of all the water. I didn't see them mop the floor while we ate there either. Overall, we still like this place. It's the closest vietnamese restaurant to us that we like. Their food tastes great, the portion for price is great too. Service hasn't disappointed us so far either!

We enjoyed the authentic Vietnamese food and an awesome vibe as we tried some of their dishes. Their drinks are so refreshing and pho portions are massive. Order the V5! Here are some of the things we tried: Strawberry smoothie Pandan cloud Tom Yum noodle soup w seafood Satay pho w/ rare beef and tripe Grilled pork plus shrimp with spring roll Big beef bone with noodles Mango salad with grilled shrimp

Interior - such a pretty and fun design!

What a great find! This restaurant has a fun and lively atmosphere, but it's not too loud or crowded. Recommended for everyone: couples, families, all ages. Came here with a Vietnamese friend and she gave the pho her stamp of approval, and so this place gets five stars for sure! The pho portion size looked so big; since this place is new, I don't know if they will offer different portion sizes in the future, but be prepared to be full! I tried the chicken and spring roll on vermicelli, and this was tasty, too. The only thing was that they said they couldn't split our bill (I think because it was a Friday night?)-- this suggests that they could use a better point-of-sale system. Meanwhile, if you pay cash, there's a 5% discount, just like many Vietnamese places.

Ever since opening their doors starting in Scarborough and Richmond Hill, Dear Saigon continues to impress the entire GTA community with their take on Vietnamese cuisine with the new location in North York! They've definitely got our favourite classics such as the 3 Layer Pho with Beef Rib and the Dear Saigon Platter with humble appetizers such as the Betel Beef Rolls and Shrimp Crepe PancKes! However, you definitely need to try the new dishes such as the Beef Ribeye Carpaccio which is a great representation of Vietnamese flavours of salty, sweet, sour, and spice. The drinks are quite refreshing especially with new drinks like the Roasted Corn Latte! Be sure to swing by the Willowdale location of Dear Saigon for a small trip to Vietnam!

I love all types of Asian cuisine so I've been quite happy to see a whole bunch of new Vietnamese restaurants opened in the past year. I've been to most of them in Scarborough and they've all been good, really good. I was quick to accept an invitation from a friend to check out the newest location of Dear Saigon at Yonge and Finch. It's very nicely decorated with hanging lamps, foliage, and warm colours creating an intimate ambiance. Although there appeared to be ample seating, it was packed to capacity practically the whole time we were there. We started with a very tasty Mango Salad that included peanuts and shrimps. It was really good! Our next dish, Grilled Pork and Chicken with Vermicelli and Spring Roll, was larger than expected and very nicely presented. It tasted as good as it looked. Delicious! We also ordered the Big Beef Bone Pho that included a rather large Beef Knuckle Bone. The portion size was so large, it was served in two bowls, one with noodles. It was really good but we took home half of it. To wash it all down, we had their Peach Orange Lemongrass Tea and Whipped Milo Latte. Both were really good! This was a very enjoyable meal, with great flavours, and good service.

Cute restaurant at Yonge and Finch. We went for lunch on a very cold Tuesday afternoon. I felt the pho just hit the spot that day. Broth was flavorful, tons of beef in the soup as well. I also love how they have different types of chili's and also had pickled garlic. Another thing I really liked is the small sauce container that not all pho places provide. For dessert I have the jelly and red bean with shaved ice. I also tried the bread pudding. Didn't expect it to come with so much pork floss on top. If they could put it on the side for you to add however much you want I think that would have been better. There were only 2 servers at the time we went but they were attentive and very nice.

Pad Thai offers a delightful blend of salty, savory, sweet, and tangy flavors. Enhancing it with crushed peanuts and a squeeze of lime elevates the experience to pure bliss. The sizzling stone bowl Pho arrives bubbling hot; adding noodles and beef allows them to cook to perfection, making it ready to enjoy in no time For beverages, the coconut coffee slush and the tiramisu-inspired egg coffee are both exceptional choices But the music is a little bit loud as a Vietnamese restaurant during lunch time

First time to try this place and it didn't disappoint. The food is really good very comforting especially for winter season if you want to keep warm.the Pho is so good and comforting. The service is fast as staff are very friendly. The ambiance is great s well the interior decors is so cute. I went to the north york location (yonge and finch). Definitely will come back.

Tried out Pho Anh Vu's Yonge/Finch location (I've tried other locations) and was quite disappointed. We tried out their pho and bun dishes. The food was a solid 3.5/5. I tried out their bun dish with pork and egg roll. Quite a large portion which left me very full! Nothing special and just below average dish. As for service, here's where we were quite disappointed. Although I understand that the bun (vermicelli) dish typically takes longer to prepare over the pho, normally restaurants begin preparation for this dish before the pho, so both dishes come out at the same time. However, the pho came out first (which the person I was with finished in 15 mins). 15 minutes later, we asked when the other dish would come out and the waitress never got back to us. 5 mins later, the bun finally came out. We basically ate separately. :/ For our bill, the staff member auto-tipped too. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice though, and great decor!

Like their other locations, great decor and design, excellent service and very good food! We ordered the beef bone pho which can serve two with the amount of food it came with. The soup is flavorful and comforting. The hot pepper, garlic, and hot sauce on the side are so good too. Great addition to any pho for heat lovers. The Thai iced coffee was good. Standard but more ice and less coffee than I'd like. All in all best pho place in my hood. I hear the mango salad is amazing too. I'll try that in the summer!

Amidst their big expansion across the GTA, I was pleasantly surprised to see a location pop up at Yonge-Finch. We wanted to see how this location stacked up against the others. We came by on New Years Day around 6 and it was decently busy with a short wait list. FOOD (4/5) We ordered a large Pho Tai that comes with rare beef and well done flank (#18) and a Grilled Pork Spring Roll Vermicelli (#48). The pho had nice a nice bouncy noodle consistency and the broth was clear and wasn't heavy in MSG. I'd say this location's broth was slightly inferior to the OG and Markham locations. The vermicelli was very classic, and the spring roll that came with it was hot and crispy. DRINKS (5/5) We had to also order two Vietnamese Iced Coffees (#D4) which were served in whiskey glasses as opposed to a tall glass or disposable cup (a la other locations). Creamy, sweet, delighfully bitter, chocolatey, delicious! Highly recommend but be warned the caffeine is strong! They also had a drink menu which served soju - very fitting for the area! AMBIENCE (4/5) The restaurant was nicely lit and had booth seats running along the side. Similar to the other locations, there was the cherry blossom decor and a Pho Anh Vu neon sign. SERVICE (3.5/5) Service was simultaneously great but also slightly poor. Even though there were empty tables, we still had to wait for the waitress to clean the table which she said would take 10 mins. Presumably it was to stagger seating to ease up orders for back-of-house but it felt strange having to wait while there was a handful of empty seats. Like most Asian restaurants you have to flag down servers and they won't proactively ask if you need anythung. They were very quick to bring anything we asked for. They do take credit cards here, including Amex! ACCESSIBILITY (5/5) Steps away from Finch station and there is paid street parking on Yonge and in the lot behind the Shoppers. VALUE (4/5) Portions are very large and was definitely enough to have leftovers for lunch the next day. By no means is this a cheap eat but you do get decent value of cost to fullness. OVERALL (4/5) Not my favourite Pho Anh Vu across overall but still a good Vietnamese option in the area and will satisfy your Vietnamese food craving. A good switch up to all the Korean and Chinese spots in the area.

Came during soft opening. Restaurant is well decorated, with decent spacing between tables. I like that the sriracha and hoisin comes in their original bottles, so you don't have to guess what it might be. Ordered a bun bo hue dac biet. The soup is fantastic, and comes with a variety of meats hidden under the soup. The beef slices in particular are very tender and flavourful. Vermecelli is cooked well with a nice smooth texture and goes well with the broth. Saw lots of big beef ribs coming out of the kitchen, might try that next time. Finally a decent pho place at Yonge and Finch

I had the chance to dine at Pho Anh Vu today, a Vietnamese restaurant that's just opened up right around Finch Station. Despite arriving at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, I was surprised by how busy it was. The crowd died down a bit by 4pm. The menu was tempting, so we settled on two dishes: number 48 and 61. 48, a generous plate of grilled pork and spring rolls over vermicelli, was yummy. The pork was seasoned and grilled to perfection, offering a satisfying blend of flavors. However, 61, which involved DIY rice paper wraps, was a mixed bag. The concept was fun, but rolling them could be a bit of a challenge, and the servings of pork and shrimp were modest compared to the heaps of veggies and noodles. A bit more meat or perhaps some additional peanut sauce would have been great. What stood out was the assortment of condiments and pickles available - a nice touch for customizing the flavors to anyone's liking. Watch out though, the containers can be sticky... On the pricing front, it was slightly ($2-3) higher per dish than other local pho places, but given the size of the servings, it felt reasonable. The service was spot-on: quick, attentive, and friendly, even amidst the busy crowd. Pho Anh Vu is a delightful addition to the neighborhood. It's not just about the food, but the whole experience that makes me eager to return. Whether it's for a casual lunch or a fun dinner outing, this place has charm and quality that I hope it maintains. p.s. 10% off (any payment method) as an opening deal!

The place is quite small and they get busy so expect some crowding. The food was delicious and had exceptional flavour and quality. My partner and I had the Bun Bo Hue (5/5) and the Grilled Pork and Chicken on Broken Rice (5/5). Bun Bo Hue was filled with meat and blood pudding. It was not as spicy as I had hoped it would be but the flavour profile was irresistibly good. Grilled Pork and Chicken on Broken Rice had ample portions of meat. They were tender and juicy. As I mentioned, the place gets busy and packed. We were a group of 8 and I tried to book a reservation a couple of days prior to our visit. To our disappointment, they did not accept reservations at all. The wait time was quite long since we were such a big group. This was quite hectic and stressful for the servers. Hopefully this can be considered in the future for big groups (8 people and above) to make the service smoother.

We walked in and were greeted by a friendly few staff members who showed us to our table. The decor inside was modern, it was clean and the ambiance was great. As soon as we sat down we were brought hot drinks of our choice to warm us up. It took a while before we settled on our meal choices after much discussion. We have some vegetarians and some non-vegetarians in our family so it was nice to see that vegetarians could be accommodated here. All of the meals turned out to be very tasty from our appetizers to our mains. Spring Rolls** were crispy, tasty and served with a sweet-spicy sauce. These were the outstanding showstoppers of the entire meal or at least a few of us agreed that they were our favourite choice. Vegetarian Cold Rolls (small) were crunchy, refreshing and served with a peanut sauce with roasted peanuts on top. I was told that my homemade version of vegetarian cold rolls was even better than the restaurant version since I include more tofu but this restaurant version came in a close second place. Stir-fried Vegetables with Tofu and Steamed Rice was very super flavourful, as was the veggie soup broth. The main vegetarian dish had a bit of kick to it, lots of black pepper, and a tangy spicy taste which was almost too spicy for one family member's simple palate. Nothing a bowl full of rice couldn't fix. What would make it a 5 star rating would be if they had included a bit more tofu, otherwise it was a very good dish. Grilled Pork Chop with Rice was wonderfully delicious. The veggies made the dish eye catching. The flavour packed broth was delightful. It was served with a drizzle of oil of green onions which when combined with freshly steamed rice make the perfect trifecta. Stir-Fry Rice Noodles with Seafood (which had squid, fish balls, shrimp and possibly scallops) was very well received by one hungry man. He didn't mind that the vegetarians had more veggies on their plates than him. Stir-Fry Rice Noodles* with Vegetables had a great colourful presentation and tasted very good, according to another. Once again their only other comment about the dish was that they wished there was more tofu in it. What would make it a 5 star rating would be if they had included a bit more tofu, otherwise it was also a good dish. The staff were more than accommodating to the requests of grandparents who needed to relocate tables to stay warm during this cold winter season. My family very much appreciated our visit to this restaurant. Fantastic hospitality. Great service and friendly personable staff.
