This is the new location in downtown GSO. We originally had other plans for dinner that fell through and we figured a hot Friday night at 4:45 pm couldn't possibly be busy. Yall, we got the last table!!! My husband got the chicken and waffles and he said everything was missing something, but overall very good. I got the chicken Philly, it was amazing!!!!!! It was kind of a gamble but I'm glad I ordered it. The only major complaint we had was the noise. It was sooooo loud. The space is tight already, but with not enough acoustics, jam packed with tables, it was to the point where we were drowning in the noise. Then a live performer came in and drowned out the rest. We couldn't even hear each other. For this reason, we probably won't be back.

They are finally open & appear to be quite busy. Walking in on a Monday around 1pm & the place was filled. Upon entering, the space you can see desserts on display and a small waiting area near the hostess station. The walkway is narrow and long, decorated with flowers and a nice welcome into the restaurant. Staff moved quickly to seat us. We waited about 5 minutes or less in the front. There are high top seating options, booth seating lining the walls, and regular tables as well. The bar is also available for solo seating or couples dining in. We ordered the Fresca drinks and were delighted to know these are available for free refills. The appetizers were hot and tasty! An order of hushpuppies that were the perfect bite and warm in the center, paired with a tasty cinnamon butter! These fried pickles were addicting! They were a nice crispy bite! The sliced pickles fried and served with a sauce that was also delicious. Since I've had breakfast at the other location, I wanted to try a lunch option. I decided on the blackened shrimp, spinach, and Spanish rice & beans. The spinach was recommended by the staff. I enjoyed the rice and beans, topped with cheese, cilantro and red onions. The pinto beans were seasoned well and flavorful. The shrimp were slight salty but the cook on them was perfect! The spinach was just ok, had a healthy amount of garlic and was also seasoned well but not overly salty. My friend ordered the Birria bowl. She says it was good but could use a squeeze of lime to bring it all together. Otherwise, the service and overall feel of the place is great! The staff worked collectively to bring our orders, check in, and make this a pleasant experience. I still haven't tried their desserts but was given a complimentary order of beignets that were light and airy with the perfect crunch, dusted powdered sugar. These are served with a chocolate sauce. Still making my way around this menu, so definitely more reviews to come!!

Dear Dad's has knocked it out the part with this new location right in the heart of downtown Greensboro! The place looks amazing inside and out, the flowers hanging from the ceiling, the vibrant colors on the wall. It's truly a sight to behold! The star of the show like always with Dear Dad's is their phenomenal food. It's always fantastic and their service is also top notch. I got a three egg omelette with vegan chorizo and dirty hash browns and my friend got their blackened chicken Caesar wrap. I loved the omelette as per usual and my friend loved their wrap as well. The waiters and managers kept coming by to make sure we were taken care of and the food was good. Everything was amazing. There is no dedicated parking you just have to get lucky with parking on the street! the building looks small on the outside but it'll open up once you walk inside.

I've been tot he other location several time so I decided to check out the new Dear Dads location downtown. The food is just as good as the other location. It's hard to describe what makes the flavor stand out. It's just really fresh. The new location is beautiful. So intentional with its design and honestly something I'd expect to see in midtown Atlanta. Spacious and well thought out. They had a great playlist going and I could've sat there all day. The true standout was the service. These servers were ON IT. What a solid and cohesive team. Everyone in there looks very young with made it even more impressive. They truly operate like a team of seasoned servers. Multiple visits from different team members. Constant drink refills without having to ask. Our server Amber was awesome. Really impressed with how they run service.

Out on a family day downtown and tried the new downtown location of dear dads. The flowers are amazing, really consistent branding between this and the place on battleground. I had the chilaquiles with red sauce, (goodness). Partner had the beyond burger (perfection). Kids had the red velvet and chocolate chip Mickey pancakes and bacon. Everyone loved their pick! Staff is friendly and gracious, plenty of water top-ups and check ins from the manager. The place seats 70, it's bigger that it looks.

Beautiful experience from the time I walked in until I left. Came I in on an early Monday morning and was seated immediately- glad I was early because a wait built up soon behind me. I was seated at the bar and quickly, graciously greeted by my server and the server in training. I had Chocolate milk, French toast with strawberries, and a side of bacon- all were so delicious. I was especially impressed by the incredible service and attentiveness. The servers worked so well together and while listening to them then train other servers I could tell they had been well trained themselves!!

We popped in the newest location of Dear Dad's off Elm St. this morning for breakfast. It was a beautifully decorated space with pinks, greens, and florals. The music was a little louder than I'd like for breakfast but was an upbeat Latino mix which was fun. I went with a basic breakfast plate of one meat (bacon), two eggs over medium ,a side of fruit and sourdough toast with homemade peach jam. It was a ok, nothing to rave about. A little pricey for what it was ($14.99). My daughter just ordered a biscuit. She said it was ok, but had a weird after flavor. Service was ok, nothing outstanding as in never refilled my drinks, but was nice. Overall it was just an "okay" experience.

Super excited to check out the new downtown Dear Dad's location. We had not had a chance to venture out to their orignal location in NW Greensboro yet. Now we are lucky to have one closer to home! The decor is simply beautiful. Lots of colorful florals which really brighten up the space since the only windows are up front. Check out their desserts in the front case! They have a nice long bar and table seating is cozy. We were greeted by a friendly young man on the street as we walked up and immediately seated when we walked inside. There is a long hallway decorated by hanging flowers leading to the colorful dining area. Our server was not available when we sat down but we were greeted by another, and brought waters right away. After waiting a little longer, another young lady working behind the bar noticed that we were still waiting so she took our orders. During our short time there we were helped by multiple staff members and checked on by a manager or two. Our waters stayed filled, which I always appreciate. Our delicious birra nachos came out in no time. They were definitely the highlight of the evening. My husband picked the breakfast chilaquiles (yum!) and I went with the shrimp po boy with fries. Both were very tasty. I believe this was the prettiest po boy I have ever eaten! The large shrimp were perfectly fried and the lettuce was still crisp. My french fries were nice and hot but a little soft for my taste. Next time I will try a different side. It is all good though, I wasn't there for just the fries. They have an extensive menu that ranges from red velvet or carrot cake pancakes, French toast, chicken and waffles, sandwiches, burgers, huevos rancheros to smothered chicken, shrimp and grits, and seafood dinner options. Usually when you see restaurants that have such a wide range, you worry that the quality will fail somewhere. All the dishes that I saw being delivered to tables looked fantastic which made it a challenge for me to narrow down what I wanted to order. Next time, birria tacos, and chicken tenders, and maybe their house chips? There was a bit of confusion when it came time to get the check since our original server really didn't do much but bring boxes and our check that we requested from the manager when he stopped by our table to check on us. For a location that was hopping because they just opened, the entire staff worked great as a team, and everyone was friendly. We will be definitely be going back.

Great food! Great vibes! Great service. We came for brunch and I had the Avocado toast with Dirty hash browns(peppers, onions and cheese).

Cool vibe in the entryway to the dining area.

Went to Dear Dad's new downtown Greensboro location for their soft opening. Greeted by the same warm, friendly staff and great food. While it's a little on the pricey side, the portions are huge! Wishing them great success for years to come.

Place was super clean, great atmosphere, lots of servers and food was great. I ate there once for brunch and another day for lunch. Good spot

The wait was about 30 mins which wasn't bad since there was 8 parties before of us. It went pretty quickly. The amazing customer service started as soon as we got there . They came outside and check with the guest waiting if they wanted coffee, tea, etc due to it being about 50 degrees. They came outside about three times in total. Then we were called in and sat promptly our waitress Yuly was friendly, attentive and amazing all around. Several of the staff members check on us continuously through out the meal. Now let's talk about the food.... OMG!!! I had the French toast meal, eggs, turkey sausage ( I was told it came with two but till my surprise it came with four) and potato wedges.Hot , seasoned and cook just right. Orange ... fresh squeeze I might add... delicious. My son had the same meal but with grits... those were amazing too. Not too thick , not watery just the right consistency . My daughter had chicken and waffles, hash browns and grits. Chicken was tender , seasoned and crispy. My mom had a skillet with potted wedges, bell peppers, onions and light cheese. I def had to sample that amazing.. the pork was a little too salty for her but just right for me. We also had the blueberry hush puppies (should have bought some to go) They sang happy birthday to me and I got complimentary beignets. All in all 10 out of ten dinning. Amazing Ambiance and decor.

The athletics of the restaurant at definitely content perfect. On our way to get sat we went down the hallways to the dining area and it was absolutely beautiful. Music is such a vibe and makes for a great experience. Service was amazing! Our server was friendly, attentive, and made our experience perfect. We ordered red and green chilaquiles with birria. If you are looking for not so spicy, but flavorful -- red chilaquiles are the ones. Now if you want a a spice that builds up where you are pulling air through your mouth to enjoy and continue bc you love spic -- green chilaquiles are the ones for you. Personally coming from a Hispanic household I would order the green ones over and over again. I actually ordered side of green sauce to put on my red chilaquiles. We had agua de Jamaica (hibiscus water) and Piña Colada water. Both very rich in flavor, Jamaica water is refreshing. Piña Colada is smooth, sweet and a little thick, so drink carefully or you could get very full. Everything was delicious and can't wait to go back again!

My partner visited Black Magnolia last week after her massage at Green Leaf Wellness center and raved about her cinnamon roll, so I decided to treat myself to one as well and it did not disappoint. I found the Patisserie straight away as I passed it on the way to my massage, but the signage on the curb helps since some businesses in Revolution Mills can be quite difficult to find. The storefront itself is quite small, consisting of a standing room and the glass case of baked goods, but there is seating outside and around the establishment. The staff was attentive, briefing me on all the cinnamon rolls they currently had and letting me know that there were some baking that would be available a bit later. Each roll looked decadent with flavors ranging from lemon blueberry, s'mores, and classic. There were also scones and other baked goods available as well, but I had my heart set on the Classic Cinnamon Roll. I bit into this beauty on my way home and it was the softest and most delicious cinnamon roll I have ever had! Baked with brioche dough and topped with cinnamon cream cheese frosting, the pillowy texture and flavors were so comforting and satisfying. I don't eat sweets often, so this was the perfect treat to end my day with. I am definitely looking forward to trying the lemon blueberry next!

The interior and overall vibe are really nice, and the food was good -- but nothing especially memorable. What completely ruined the evening, though, was the service and how an accident was handled. A server from another table accidentally dropped an entire chocolate dessert shot glass behind me, and I got covered in chocolate -- my neck, hair, sweater, jeans, and even half of our table. Accidents happen, and I totally understand that. What shocked me was that neither the server who dropped it nor my own server reacted or even apologized. My server saw everything happen but didn't hurry to help or check on me. I sat there for more than 15 minutes with chocolate in my hair and all over my clothes. Eventually, I had to call the manager myself and ask for napkins or something to clean up. To the manager's credit, she responded quickly and was helpful. Ironically, my server only came over after the manager had already handled everything. In the end, I left the restaurant with a dirty sweater, stained jeans, and chocolate still in my hair. Instead of properly following up, they simply handed me a business card and told me to email or call about the incident. Honestly, after what happened, why should I have to chase the restaurant for a resolution? A much better approach would have been for someone to ask for my contact information and proactively reach out. Overall, it was a very strange and disappointing experience, especially for a place that presents itself as upscale. Sadly, I wouldn't come back again.
