That's because this place has Luna. Luna is an absolutely excellent masseuse. I always book my appointments with Luna. However, right now, Luna is on vacation. Won't be back until like May or something. That's why I tried a new masseuse here, Linda. So glad I did, because Linda is an absolutely excellent masseuse too! I recommend you book your next massage with her! Just to be clear, all the masseuses here are very, very good. Earlier in the month I booked a massage with Emma and I was 100% satisfied. Emma is very good. TBF, I wouldn't hesitate to book an appointment with any of the masseuses that work here at Orange Health Spa, but if Linda is available, I'm definitely booking with her. I wish I could have them in the quantities I eat chocolate and fried food, but she wouldn't have time for anyone else at that point. Please note that if you're looking for a quick "whatever" massage, this isn't it. Go to Massage Envy for that nonsense. If you want someone with strength and power matched with an equally gentle touch where it's needed, she's the therapist for you. She's worked on when I was so sore from lifting that everything hurt, and she adapted immediately to what my body needed. Other times I've gone simply for the sake of something perfect and pleasant, and I left feeling light as a cloud. I don't know much about muscle connectivity, pressure points, joint issues or anything else. I have no idea how she works her magic. I just know that I've had massages from more people than I can count, and the only person I've gone back to is Lindsay. Book her today!

Very well versed in the mechanics of the body, especially when it comes to injuries, tension, and pain. I've gone to Lindsay quite a few times, almost always with some sort of injury I've caused (I work with livestock, so my body takes a toll), and she never fails to provide relief, and has actually resolved some really painful problems I've had in my back, neck, and left shoulder (tension? cramped muscle? spasm? I forget, but Lindsay certainly knew what the issue was...). I've never had two of the same exact sessions with Lindsay, because she doesn't follow a script or routine. Each time you come in, she asks you how you've been feeling and works on what's been bothering you specifically. Love that she is able to explain what she's doing so well, too. Very articulate. Also, she wont' talk your ear off if what you want is a quiet session. Sometimes I want to ask her questions about some pain I'm having, or problems I have when I move around at work, and other times I want to just relax and get fixed. She picks up on this and either lets you enjoy your silence, or talks with you about the questions you have. Awesome. (She also offers traditional fire cupping at no extra charge! So cool! Love getting cups at the end of a session.) Highly professional, extremely knowledgeable, and adapts each session to YOUR needs that day. A++ P.S. Just a heads-up: she is by appointment only. Coco was booked tonight (she's the manager) and so she suggested that I book with Lisa which is who I was suppose to get a massage with only to have a bait and switch when I arrived and had to go to Amy instead. I was peeved but decided to trust Coco since she knows me and what I like. I thought I'd be in good hands (no pun intended). Amy gave the worst massage I have ever had. She asked if I wanted light or medium. I like medium touch but honestly she was just rubbing skin, barely applying any pressure, slapping on oil. and phoning it in. But the kicker was towards the end of the massage, she puts cloves on to massage my feet, NEVER have I had a body massage with cloves on (except a pedicure). AND, this is AFTER she massaged my body with her bare hands the whole time. Makes no sense. THEN, she took paper towels and rubbed the oil off of my feet which felt like sand paper scrapping my skin off. I really should have just stopped the massage so it's partly my fault for letting her continue. BUT, I figured I would just tip her less and call it day. I've always tipped 30% on average, EXCEPT for tonight when I handed her a 10% tip, (honestly I wanted to leave no tip). She pointed to the NEW tip chart with a range saying she wanted more. I was livid. My intention was to be quiet about this b/c I've been going here for so long and I figured one bad massage over the years wasn't worth the complaint BUT b/c AMY forced the issue, I was forced to let her know (and now you, here on yelp) that it was the worst massage I have ever had and b/c she demanded more of tip, she needed to know that is the REAL issue and she got exactly what she gave. I told her that I've been a client for 6 years and I will never come back again. I will make sure all of my associates and friends in Ventura never step foot in this establishment again. On top of it, I had one of those punch cards for every massage you get, it adds up to a free foot massage which was almost full. Amy grabbed it and said she'd give it to me at the end of the massage. Needless to say I didn't get it back. LOL. Not that it matters now cause they lost a long time client. Oh & btw; I'm a licensed Massage Therapist myself for 24 years so I'm very careful with feedback b/c everyone has their own style and touch. Its subjective. Right? In all the years as a Massage Therapist, I've never demanded that a client tip me more. And that's the issue. The quality of service is determined by the discretion of the client. Period. And if this business requires a "set tip" then it needs to be built into the price of the massage. This tipping chart is brand new btw and I was completely unaware until I decided tip below what I normally give.

( ouch ) I enjoyed the hike, the toning segment, the jokes, the companionship with her and the other people in the group and had an overall great workout. Unfortunately due to lack of daycare options, I can not commit to attending more sessions, but the love for Raw Workouts is still there! If you commit to training with Raw Workouts, have a proper diet and regularly exercise, you will get results...I remember a certain man in my hiking group who worked very hard that day (and I'm sure EVERY day)...to see him now, he is like a shell of his former self. Been getting messages since the 60s and all over the world and never had a steel framed bed with a head rest that's unprotected that your mouth can't avoid. Couldn't tell you much about the rub I was in to much pain getting my mouth and chin smacked around.

I had a severe car accident that left me with a fractured pelvis in nine places which left me with very weak and imbalanced hips and herniated disks in my low back and neck. This caused extreme muscle spasms and constant tension due the misalignment. I saw five other chiropractors who could not help me.Then I met Dr. Mark and I was amazed at his thoroughness in evaluating my condition. His techniques and thorough approach finally gave me relief. He also taught me exercise and diet changes including which supplements could improve my condition without the use of heavy medications.I am eternally grateful to have experienced his knowledge and awareness of the human body as a whole. As a full time surfer I spend alot of time traveling. Throughout my travels i have always had a hard time finding comfort. Mainly because as a taller man @ 6'6 i really don't fit many places (especially airplane seats and small rental cars) and as a result dealt with alot of muscel and joint pain after every trip. I always have to expect and prepair for extremely high levels of pain after any sort of extended car or plane trip. Today however a friend of mine insisted on taking me to see a friend of his who works as a chiropractor. I was sceptical and nervous to say the least however the second after the first pop I felt a warm, relaxing and calming sensation from head to toe. All my pain is gone and l tension in my body I had no idea could be related is gone as well. I could not be more happy with my visit and will be back for sure. read more

I recently visited Dr. Mark with some hip issues. I slipped and fell about 20 years ago, Since that time, I have had a constant pain in the hip area. Unfortunately, I learned to live with the pain and occasionally remedy the situation with medication. I did visit other doctors but the pain always returned. Recently, after a hike, the pain was unbearable. I found Dr. Mark via the internet. Fortunately I was able to seen almost immediately. After a short discussion with the doctor and two visits, literally, the pain is gone. I haven't been pain free in years and I am indebted to Dr. Mark for his professionalism, his ability remedy the injury quickly by using deep tissue massage and adjusting the area with no pain. Fact: Dr. Mark Algee is very good at his practice. Yesterday morning I woke with an incapacitating shooting pain in my neck and back. I was in serious pain with little range of motion. My wonderfully caring girlfriend got to researching anyone to help. Dr. Algee made time in his schedule to see me. Mind you, this was my first visit ever to a Chiropractor, yes I'm stubborn naturally. AFTER my visit I was no longer in great pain. I no longer felt claustrophobic in my own body. He was patient, confidently concerned and knowledgeable. I scheduled another appointment for today. Just had my 2nd appointment with him. Im feeling much better. I went to my first visit when I was in excruciating pain (couldn't bend down) wasn't sleeping well and I was very nervous. Dr. Algee patiently listened and he adapted his treatment to my situation. Dr. Algee was very thorough and he made me feel RELAX. When Dr. Algee completed the treatment he had me walk to see how I felt. Then he told me to bend down. I looked at him doubting I could bend down. To my surprise, I bend down and I was very impress. Since then I continue to see Dr. Algee when I have discomfort or pain. I highly recommend Dr. Algee because he has a wealth of knowledge and he knows how to balance the body which results in relief, comfort and relaxation. I accompanied my sister to her appointment at Ventura Chiropractic. I observed the whole session and was so impressed with his technique and results that I received a treatment right after. I have been traveling quite a bit and was dealing with severe neck pain from an old injury and also tend to be very discerning in who I have do treatments on me. I just completed 12 classroom hours of continuing education for my chiro license with dr. mark, and i am already practicing the things he taught me today in the office.. It was very fun, educational and interesting.. and as we all know.. sometimes these things are none of the above. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to get their CE units and learn some awesome stuff to relay back to the patients. Dr. Algee has a holistic approach to his practice. He diagnoses and treats on individual needs. Not only did he adjust me in places I had never been adjusted and fix the alignment issue I was dealing with immediately, but was able to diagnose and help me determine 2 chronic issues I have been suffering from for most of my life not even related to my skeletal structure. I was able to easily treat these conditions and have since improved the overall quality of my health and well being tremendously. Dr. Mark has been great. He was the first chiropractor I visited after moving to Ventura from TX and I selected his office because of other people's feedback and reviews of their experiences. Surprisingly, during my first two visits he uncovered some one-to-two decade old problems I had in the past, which led to some of my ailments today. I didn't lead-on... he asked the right questions and helped to uncover some issues, which we've worked on ever since and my body feels great. At my request, he agreed an ongoing maintenance schedule wouldn't be a bad idea and I continue to visit him on a regular basis based on my body's needs. read more

Mark is great! He came out to the community I live at in Ojai and gave many of us adjustments. He uses non-force adjustments and looks and listens to the body! I have a minor case of scoliosis, so I have always been a little twisty. At the beginning i was walking in place with my eyes closed, and ended up almost 180 degrees to the right without realizing it. After a lift and reflex testing, i did the same test, and I was better aligned. He also gave me some exercises I could do myself to better balance out my R side. Dr. Algee is an awesome instructor and very personable. I agree with the other reviewers that the materials he presents are both informative and interesting as well as applicable in your practice (entertaining as well). Class size (at least in SLO where I'm from) are small so you get the attention and involvement that helps you learn and remember much better than those 100+ attendee seminars. Unlike the other reviews - I am not a doctor - but I AM a happy balanced patient!!! Dr. Algee is brilliant. I recently lost my beloved doctor of 30 years - Jonathan Lemler DC due to his passing. I have not had my body balanced completely since Jonathan. However, it turns out Jonathan was actually one of Dr. Algee's students! Dr. Algee is thorough, gentle and his technique unlike any others. Dr. Mark Algee leads a very engaging, fun and educational chiro CEU class. I just attended his Aging & The Brain program this past weekend. He's got a sense of humor. It gave me some good food for thought about concussions and TBI. Really good stuff, and a great group of chiropractors in the room! I especially liked the intro to chiropractic neurology during the adjusting hours. I highly recommend attending one of his programs or checking out his online courses. I had a great class last week with Dr. Algee! He made the class very interesting and did a really good job of explaining the reasons behind performing certain tests each visit. He did what they don't often teach in school, or what we tend to forget over time, and showed how to put all of our knowledge of the body and the ortho/neuro tests together to provide our patients with the best care possible. I have seen Dr. Algee for a total of 3 visits, scheduled a week apart. My back, specifically the SI Joint was definitely out of alignment, and i was in pain! After each visit it progressively got better and then after the 3rd visit I went totally out of pain and my adjustment is still holding; this is such good news!! Dr. Knight sat with me and asked all about my history as well as what I'm dealing with right now...(pinched nerve in my neck causing severe pain in my shoulder, arm & hand) gathering as much info for a complete assessment. He was very careful with his adjustment technique and was able to get good movement in my neck (which is the sum of all my problems right now) and then put me on ice and stim. I have been seeing them all for various injuries mainly my wrist and shoulder. I have been to Dr. Knight about ten times now. He has utilized techniques I've never had done before such as blading and cupping. The blading has helped tremendously with my shoulder. It could be painful to some but let me tell you the sacrifice is worth the reward in the end. Also Dr. Knight makes sure to ask several times if his technique is too much or too little. Everyone is so helpful and respectful from the front office to Dr. Knight. Don't be fooled by the come in for 21$ other doctors. Been there don't that only to be tricked into a treatment plan of thousands of dollars. Dr Knights office was clear $70 up front $50 a visit after. They do have a package but it was very much no fluff in the package or no bait and switch. Hope you are reading this trying to find the right doctor. Come in give Dr. Knight and staff a go. When I arrived, however, I was told no one was available to do the consultation and that I would need to schedule to come back. So in other words, I was not seen at all despite making an appointment. I'm so glad I never returned. Clearly your customer service speaks for itself. Update: I'm not sure where you're misunderstanding. I made an appointment for a consultation. I was aware of this. However, when I arrived the receptionist told me there was no one available to do my consultation and that I would have to come back. So then why did I have an appointment for a consultation? I did not get seen at all. I wouldn't have taken time off from work and drove all the way there if I knew the consultation wasn't going to happen. Instead of immediately jumping to the defense, maybe try hearing someone out first. An apology goes a long way. It took you over a year to even address this and you immediately claim "false"statement. Very unprofessional and I do not care to keep arguing with you. Have a great day!

Anyway I was brought in and was recommended immediate treatment. It was rushed and little assessment of my back and neck was done. I left the place worse than when I got there. I felt like passing out. I had another chiropractor do a house call the next day because I was miserable. He said the "adjustment" the doctor did was wrong and everything was out of place. Once he worked on me the pain left within hours and I feel so much better. Please do your research before going to any chiropractor!!!
