Dr. Lai is the bomb!!! I was suffering with back and leg pain for about a year before hearing about him through a friend. He was highly recommended so I thought why not try it out after living with on/off pain for way too long. So first appointment he was extremely thorough in explaining to me what was going on after his assessment and thorough explanation. He used various tools and his "magic hands" to help fix me up and yes it feels pretty intense. I followed up with acupuncture too went home took an epsom salt hot bath and slept like a rock! I finally woke up not in pain for the first time in a long time!! If I could give 000 I would for harassment. After a month of treatments, I realized he was either afraid of, Or Refused to adjust my cervical & upper thorax to relieve the 16 days of migraines I deal w/monthly, n help me breathe that I've suffered from for 29 yrs. This Is the main reason I voice for seeking treatments or meds w/All doctors. From the beginning, he half ass did an adjustment. A couple wks into treatments, he did something that worsened my migraines exponentially over the next 5 days. The next appt he did a half ass adjustment that relieved some pain. Each time I got off the table and asked is that all. When I ask for suggestions to stretch or help the muscles. He said "look on my website". If I'm blinded by migraines that's a difficult thing. I found if I have to give a Chiropractor instructions on what they should do, and they still don't, You need to get the hell out of that office. He has a lot of different tables at his disposal, and for a minute you think he knows how to use them. But that minute is short-lived. It's a façade. The following 2 months he continually hounded me to leave a review via TXT and email. 2 mos later I respond to a text stating, "If I can't give a stellar review, I didn't want to leave one at all. I asked him please not to contact me again. WITHIN 7 minutes HE CALLED me. To his credit, he did not text or email me. BUT I had politely ask him not to contact me. Hence, the reason I am leaving the review as to his treatments given me. I don't know ..maybe he's trying to make payments on his Fancy sport Lexus sitting in the back parking lot. I saw Dr. Lai one time a year ago. I was quite disappointed in the services I received as I was misdiagnosed and had an adjustment based on that misdiagnosis. I left in as much pain as I arrived. There were many, many people in the waiting room. I waited 45 minutes for my appointment though I was on time. The treatment room(s?) had no privacy and were left open to the waiting room. At my consultation he seemed more interested in who referred me than my needs. He never asked me my chiropractic or spinal history, nor did he spend more than 30 seconds looking at my intake form, if that. At the first visit you are expected to watch a video of Dr. Lai that shows him providing an adjustment of his daughter. It was more a promotion of him as a person than an explanation of the treatments he provided. I did not feel listened to and he made no notes about me when I was there. He rushed me into a treatment area, attempted an adjustment, which did nothing whatsoever other than cause me to be bruised where he had attempted to adjust me. This experience was bad enough, but they insisted on photocopying my credit card and PIN #. I was in so much pain that I was not thinking straight and I allowed that to occur. They said that they wanted my credit card to be "on file." What?? There was a list of charges for appointments on his website and a paid in advance online. I was told that those charges were only for returning visits. If so, why didn't their webpage indicate that? As well, since that was true, why did they insist on photopying my credit card and PIN #?? Perhaps coincidental or not, I had charges made on my card two days later that I had not made. I had not lost my card and the new charges were for tickets from a travel service. I reported my card as an identity theft to my bank, but my credit card company did not pursue my complaint. It was suspicious for me that these charges were made. I did not pursue this further as I was in significant pain for months after. I have had various successful chiropractic treatments over the past 30 years. I have never experienced a less professional chiropractor or his staff (his wife.) I see from viewing the Yelp reviews that Dr. Lau has many positive ones. I was hopeful that I, too, would have that experience as well. I have had perhaps 100 chiropractic adjustments in my lifetime. This experience was the worst one ever. I'm happy for the others who have been pleased by this office, but I was not. read more

Grateful for Dr. Danny Lai This review is a little late, but I do tend to wait on my reviews, especially when I'm using a service. I want to make sure my reviews are thoughtful and honest. Thank you Dr. Danny Lai for all that you do. I was referred to Dr. Lai from my manicurist (which I need to do a review for her as well), but I digress. I've been struggling with what feels like a myriad of issues. My main concerns were not sleeping well, being overweight and the more concerning a fatty liver. My first meeting with Dr. Lai he asked me pretty pointed questions, which caught me off guard, but I appreciated. He wants to get to the truth and cause of your issue. He genuinely cares and wants to help and can only do so by asking you direct questions that you have to answer honestly. Dr. Lai is definitely gifted in what he does. He seems to know what is going on with you without really having to ask you. I could be wrong, but I think he quizzes you (asks you the pointed questions) to make YOU think and better understand your situation. Being healthy isn't just about your body working well but your mind and soul as well. Dr. Lai has made me think a lot about my situation which I believe have been extremely therapeutic. I highly recommend Dr. Lai. His office staff, which consists of his lovely wife, Mrs. Lai and their receptionist/office billing, Ana, are lovely human beings. All of them truly care about the patients. They go above and beyond to make sure you're taken care of. After your session you're asked if you want water and/or tea. If you have ever wondered about acupuncture and/or chiropractic services, give Dr. Lai a try. Oh and yes, I feel better, especially my liver. It used to feel sore and sensitive to touch. Today was my first visit to see Dr. Lai and I couldn't be happier! I had chiropractic work done for all over aches and pains. I was doing something silly... my knees were being ornery and I tried to carry a case of water upstairs at home. I knew my knees would not make it so I placed it on the third step walked up a step, lifted it to the next. I was bending at the waist because of knees. I made to the halfway point and turned on the landing while bending over and (Yikes Yow - seriously bad move). Let's back up. Almost a year ago I was having problems with my right foot. My family Doctor said maybe plantar fasciitis... I rubbed it perhaps too hard in the shower one day and bam I did something wrong and it hurt on the top of the foot... Dr. said oh you have neuroma... it took months to get back to wearing shoes that did not hurt and I chalked a lot up to old age. During that time I twisted an ankle but it took so long to get imaging done the compression fracture was likely healed. I HAD found Dr. Lai at that time on Google. I was fairly fed up with general western medicine at that time - actually way before that but around the time I had found Dr. Lai on the internet my foot was feeling better. A few months later a friend had a problem with hearing BEEs that were not there... she was in crisis mode and went to an ear nose throat guy and an audiologist and was loosing her mind... I told her about Dr. Danny Lai, he gave her relief! SO - back to my back! I called and made an appointment. I had watched every video on his site and read I think almost every review. I was geared up to go meet my new healer! At my first appointment I told him what happened and he started on my upper back, and then he worked on my KNEES - OMG he worked magic and MY FEET felt amazing! I gave this review five stars based on results. I have been going to see Dr Danny Lai for the past two weeks to treat my left shoulder that I badly fractured last summer. I'm not sure that I will ever understand how poking me in my knees with needles helps my shoulder feel better, but I swear it does! :) The thickness of the needles is the same as a human hair btw so there is zero pain from that, maybe just a little prick or nothing at all. Every patient is unique, but do not be surprised to feel some different aches and discomfort between services as your body makes adjustments. Just don't quit! You will feel much better when it passes and you'll stay better. Also, I really like the convenience of booking my appointments online and pre paying in advance.
