Even though that the restaurant is small, I really loved the atmosphere, how clean it was, and the server who served me and rang me out was very nice and friendly. Just a reminder: De-Onna's is cash only and they do not accept debit and credit cards, but they do accept checks, and be sure to take money out of your account before you come here. 2/25/20 5 stars Story time- I came across this random little restaurant, as I depend on #Yelp to find all my restaurant choices. First, I was going to go to one called, #TheOriginalFatguyandanovenbakery but their line was out the door and I was on a time crunch. So being that Mediterranean food is one of my favorite, I opted for the restaurant up the road. I'm so glad I did, because, I apparently met a legend. (Which by the way I asked him to show me his ID bc I didn't believe it was him) ‍ So while I waited for my food, the legend gave me a run down of his robbery that he successfully got away with $12M and served 8 years for. Now I have movie suggestions and a book to catch up on. The conversation all started due to my Christmas pajama pants I decided to wear today #AmilDinsio Also, I ordered the Greek salad with grilled chicken and it was delicious!! My wife and I drove an hour from Cranberry Twp PA to Hubbard OH to get our second COVID shot. When we were here 4 weeks ago we noticed a small hole in the wall restaurant advertising gyros. Aside from a few fast food places there aren't many choices here so we checked the reviews on Yelp (all positive) and decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. We called in our order for pickup and was told it would be 20 minutes so we hung out in their parking lot on the side and waited then I went in. Th first thing that you need to know is that they only take cash or checks. No credit or debit cards. This place was indeed very small, with only 4 tables, 2 of which were closed for social distancing. One old man sat at one of them, and as I was waiting a couple of minutes for my order to be bagged up another older couple came in and sat down at the other table. I paid for our order and went out to the car where my wife and I dined in the SUV. when opening each box we found a ton of French fries and a toasted pita generously covered with cucumber sauce over an equally generous serving of meat. Not a bad deal for $9.50 each. If I had any complaints it was we didn't get any napkins in the bag and I was too lazy (and messy) to go back inside and get any so thankfully I had a box of tissues in the glovebox that we made do. Other reviewers remarked the this was the best gyro they ever had, and I wouldn't go that far, but it was right up there. And while I wouldn't drive an hour back to Hubbard, if I somehow found myself back in this town I would definitely return to this restaurant. Heard about this eatery in Hubbard, Oh. I walked in not knowing that they had just closed. The open sign was still out in the sidewalk. They came out from the back and let me know they were closed and I kindly said no problem that I would stop back the next time I passed through the area. She asked me to wait. She went in the kitchen and spoke to the owner, came back out front and said the owner would be happy to cook something and that I could eat in while they locked up and cleaned. So I ordered their gyro and fries. Didn't take very long and it was brought to the table. I apologized and she was firm that it was no bother to serve me. The gyro was huge. The French fries were fresh cut and perfectly cooked and there was a bunch of them. They continued cleaning and closing up. When I finished and paid the bill which I thought was very fair, the owner came out and thanked me for stopping at her place and she hoped I liked it which I did very much. I told her without a doubt I would definitely be coming back again. I want to mention also how spotless the place was which I can clearly see why as they were thoroughly cleaning everything as I sat there. Couple notes. It's small. A few tables and I think they only take cash. No matter what, I would highly recommend this place if you're ever passing through the area. If you are traveling, it is literally about 3-4 minutes off the interstate. A must stop. No disappointments. R read more

Best homemade everything in town. Best to call and order and pick up and use cash. You won't regret 1 thing you order everything is delicious. Get desert if there is any left, you wont be sorry. Greek fries!!! What an inspired creation!!! Lemon, feta and oil on perfect fresh cut fries...mmmm!!!!! EVERYWHERE SHOULD HAve these! My daughter had the chicken souvlaki...which was excellent...the side salad which the waitress split was a nice original salad with a a great tart balsamic dressing. Was it small? We stopped here halfway through our road trip from Rhode Island to Indiana in the beginning of September and it was better than we could have imagined. They were the best gyros we have ever had, super flavorful and filling but also light and fluffy. Would absolutely recommend and hope we can visit again someday! read more

I'll start by saying my expectations were very high based off of other reviews and it exceeded all of them! We had grape leaves, greek fries, and a gyro. It was all top notch and delicious. My wife and I both agreed the gyro and greek fries are a must! The gyro is packed full of meat so great value there! I was worried seeing "extra tzatziki sauce $.xx" and thought it was going to have a small amount but I was wrong perfect amount on the gyro so my recommendation is wait to see the gyro before you order extra sauce. Waitress was very friendly just please keep an open mind of the setting. Small restaurants arent over staffed like corporate places so a little patient helps. This place is a must stop if you are in the area and for us well worth the 35 minute drive. We will definitely be back! read more

Authentic Greek Food! They use all fresh ingredients and their Tzatziki sauce is awesome. Hand cut fries were delicious. I had Chicken Soulvaki and my hubby had a Bacon Cheeseburger. Everything is made from scratch. Small restaurant with just a few tables, but their take-out business was non-stop busy - always a good sign. Cash only. Absolutely excellent gyro. Probably the best that I've had in the area, even better than the ones that you can get at the Archangel Michael Greek Fest, and that's saying something. The pita bread was nicely toasted and the meat was exceptionally well seasoned and flavorful. Tzatziki was light and flavorful and not overpowering. That being said, I am not one to complain about prices, but I must do so here. My total for one gyro was $7.99. That did not include a side or a drink. Just the gyro. I could see paying $7.99 for a meal (maybe chips and a drink, or at the very least a side item), but for just one gyro, I think that the cost is a little too steep. The quality and flavor is certainly there, but the value isn't. Just my two cents. Take it for what it's worth. read more

Just stopped by on the way back from a visit to a family cemetery. It was a pleasant surprise to have a yummy gyro sandwich filled with meat, fresh veggies and lots of tzatziki sauce. No need to order extra sauce. Both deep fried chips and French fries are cooked to perfection. Nice chat with a friendly waitress. We will definitely return here next time we are in town. read more
