Food is out of the world! Homemade everything. Older woman rolling grape leaves there every time I visit. Very friendly too!

The food is amazing. The sauces that go with the dishes are incredible. A must try in the Niles area.

Best gyros we've ever had. Theyre also quite different than any others we've had. An interesting combination that's crazy good

Gyro was good.. The restaurant itself is not very appealing. Was hesitant about getting the food but then did it anyways.

Very good food and customer service. The falafel is the best in town. The garlic sauce is to die for and huge portions of food.

Amazing food! The owner's Mother rolls the grape leaves by hand in the back. Don't let the look deceive you this is very authentic.

My husband and son had the mixed grill (or as we call it: the indecisive special) so almost every meat was tried. It's was all good. Service wasn't great but they were short staffed with one or two people doing everything. The wait wasn't long though, once we ordered, so no worries there. Our waitress took our order, cooked the food and rung us up at the register. Saving this review for myself in case we ever do a road trip through Ohio again.

Its very chill to just sit in and eat. I have both times and there never is a lot of people who sit in during lunch so I get the personal experience of feeling like I am the only one there. They are so nice here. I also got the combo plate to get a little bit of everything. The chicken and beef are cooked so perfectly and tender. The rice is so soft and light. I wish that I could prepare something so good at my own house but then that defeats the purpose of coming here. I always get a Turkish coffee to finish off my meal. I leave full but not bloated or miserable like other meals or restaurants.

I'm glad to report that Jerusalem Food Imports (JFI) falls in the latter category. Hungry for Mediterranean food and having tried all the other local destinations, I gave JFI a try. Boy, am I glad I did. JFI is a specialty market with a kitchen on the left side with a full takeout menu. No space for seating, but I'm working from home, so I was just doing a buy and fly anyway. I was in a chicken shwarma mood, so I ordered one. If you can't tell by the picture, it is monstrous. It looked like they used about a pound of chicken when preparing it. Add in a side of fries (which I didn't know came with it and really didn't want) for $5.99, and you have enough for two meals unless you're extremely hungry. Ate half and saving the other for dinner. It's much tastier than comparable sandwiches (specifically Ghossain's), with the requisite picked veggies and tahini sauce. They also had a complete selection of meat pies, chicken pies and spinach pies. I picked up a spinach pie for $1.99 for later. I also picked up a pint sized tabbouleh for $5.99, where competitors charge $4.99 for 8 ounces. I did try some of it and it's very tasty and fresh. I look forward to trying some kibbeh and hummus next time. K'nafa practically next door is good too. But if you're looking for a lot of food at a tremendous value, give JFI a try. The gentlemen working there couldn't have been nicer, and even offered to include some water without asking. I hope to get the word out on this hidden gem. Give them a try if you like Mediterranean food.

It used to be fresh, creamy, and flavorful--the kind of hummus that kept me coming back. Now it has a thin, watery, almost slop-like consistency with very little flavor. It tastes as though corners are being cut, whether by changing ingredients or rushing the preparation. For a Middle Eastern restaurant, the hummus should be one of the signature items, and it's disappointing to see such a noticeable decline in quality. It's frustrating when a place that once took pride in its food starts sacrificing quality to save money or reduce effort. I genuinely hope the owners return to the original recipe and standards because this restaurant used to be one I enthusiastically recommended. Right now, it's hard to justify coming back when the food that made it special is no longer the same. Staff is amazing and nice.
