I wish it was open a bit later. We often end up there near closing. But it is one of our favorite coffee shops in the South Bay. It is fun, the prices are fair and again, they have a robot. I was greeted when I arrived and there are menus by the cash register. They have a pretty wide selection of drinks and different flavors of matcha but I decided on banana. I usually like to get banana matcha from Da Vien but Amai's is just as good if not better! Maybe I was imagining things but I think I tasted real banana in there. It was perfectly sweetened and creamy without going overboard. There was dried banana on top which I also love. I used their restroom which they have one of in the back of the cafe. I don't necessarily need my matcha to be super sweet, but the balance felt off this time. At around $8 plus tip for the Vienna matcha, I do expect a certain level of consistency, especially with a drink I've ordered and enjoyed so many times. That's what made this visit disappointing. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't feel worth the price this time. Maybe it was just an off day, and I can't speak to their other drinks, but based on this visit, I probably won't be going back.
