Everything in this store is a chaotic mess! Their brands and product selections are terrible, most of the shelves are bare and they have horrible customer service. My mom was there recently and she found a panel of curtains that I really liked and asked if they could hold them for me. She let them know I would pick them up the same day in about 2-3 hours after I got off work and guaranteed them that I would be back to purchase them. They told her that they would only hold them for 30 minutes and after that they would have to return them to the shelf, which I found absolutely absurd because most, if not all stores will hold until closing at least. I called the store to let them know what time I would be there and they still refused to hold them any longer than 30 minutes. I will never shop at this location again. I do not understand how they have stayed in business for so many years. read more

I've been coming to this dd's for the past 10 years of my life since a child. Here's the pro: 1) the prices are so cheap! I found tops literally for 3$!! And the jeans and coats are just so affordable! 2) lots of variety of clothes to look at for all ages. I'm only 19, but I love how they started to sell skirts here as I love wearing those. My mom also loves shopping here as well. The clothes are very tendy, classy, and cute! Besides the occasional spongebob prints on the back :P But I found most of my closet here and everybody always asks me where did I find them! I got it from dd's :D 3) the workers here are really kind and talkative. As long as you are respectful, everybody is nice. Also, y'all should really not be an A hole and just put away your own hangers. There's a reason why they put a hanger where the line ends, it's because it's technically your job and just to be respectful. Dd employees are judged by how FAST they scan. It's the only way they get paid lol. Whenever, they get slowed down, say, someone refusing to put away their hanger, it's actually gonna get them in trouble by the boss but.. it's a corporate ‍ 4. There is always dressing rooms present! Even when the main dressing room closes. There is always another one opened for customers to use. 10/10 5. Store is really clean and neat. And smells eealky nice in the store. I've seen idiot customers with kids spill drinks and somehow food inside the store but they all manage to clean it so well?? Bravo!! 6. They have really nice toys/furniture/accessories and more here! Cons: 1) Since I'm a young girl, I get "watched" often. What I mean is that when Imm shopping alone, I'd turn around and see an employee or two staring at me from the other rack. It makes me slightly uncomfortable but I know that teens are idiots. I work at another store brand, and I deal with a lot of people my age steal all the time. So I understand they are just making sure that I'm good. I hope they'll remember me since I come here ALOT. Haha. And would know, I won't steal as I actually was taught with morals. 2) another thing isnt the store but rather the location. This location has a lot of other stores which is nice! But this area is kind of ghetto. I dont feel safe when I'm outside the store. And some of the customers that I run into inside the store. Are just weird. Like stawp calling me a good girl 50 year old man, I'm just trying to buy summer clothes gawddamn. I'm very happy they have a security guard in the store but still, the people from the neighborhood around are just.. weird. 3) I noticed over the year that most of their clothes have some kind of stain on it. There is a lot of everything at this store. The only issue I had was how messy and disorganized everything was and it wasn't even 10AM therefore it was probably the mess from the day before. While looking through things you have to really look at the items from every angle because there's a lot of things that are either torn or just sewn awkward. I did find a few great things. They have decent prices. This store is basically a cheaper version of Ross actually owned by Ross. The woman at the register was very friendly and polite. She seemed to enjoy working there. That was nice. I've read some reviews complaining about the fact that you can't walk around with shopping bags from other stores and that they make you feel like a thief. Here's my take on that. If I walked in with bags from other stores and they asked me to leave them at the register I wouldn't have a problem at all. I know I'm not going to steal but judging by that store policy it is obvious that more people than they'd probably like do steal and so it's not personal. It's general. How would they pick and choose who has to leave a bag at the register? Based on appearance? No. So everybody, bags stay at the register. read more

Well they have huuuge selection of womens/juniors clothes but the problem with that is the racks are almost unshoppable. Its always soo hard to look through and find stuff because everything is crammed in but must say that i do have the most luck finding my xs size at dd's. They have a huge selection of lil girls clothes but limited selection of boys stuff. The shoe sections for all is always a disaster with sizes mixed in and shoes all on the floor. They also have a nice selection of home goods and random stuff. You dont come to dd's if your trying to get in and out because it takes time to look and the check out line is always a mile long. Most of the workers here are very friendly, especially the security guards. Everyone in the front seems to greet you when you walk in. The deals they have are amazing, WAY CHEAP! But watch out for some items that are on sale due to damage, which I don't bother buying. You get what you pay for! Some good, some bad! Your also not allowed to take the carts out, and having to carry all your bags out to your car sucks! I suggest if you shop big, have someone with you to help you out. My family and I (including many of my relatives) spend a great amount of money here. I came to shop a bit with my sister on sunday around 4pm, and what ticked me off was the girl handling the dressing rooms. I asked to use the restroom, and she LIED telling me in a (RUDE RESPONSE) "There are NO bathrooms here!" And she was rolling her eyes too? WTH!!!! I told her that, "I shop here all the time with my children and husband and there IS A RESTROOM HERE!" She rolls her eyes again... and tells me, "Only children, Eldery and Pregnant ppl can use the bathrooms!" then rolls her eyes again? Whoa! That young girl working the dressing rooms was extremely RUDE!!! (What employee rolls their eyes at a customers and lies about "bathrooms" in their face?) Stingy with the restrooms? Really? She could of at least been polite and sorry about it. I didn't have to get the whole, "rolling eyes thing." She must be a new hire, because she doesn't look familiar, since I WAS a regular here. I know this place has ghetto customers at times, but I don't think any store should be having ghetto employees that roll their eyes at customers!!!! I guess IF ever I shop here again I'll have to bring my children incase I have to use the stupid restroom. I walked away so pissed off. I put my shopping cart w/ all my items that I WAS going to purchase to the side, got my sister and didn't bother buying anything from that store and went directly to Ross right after we left. At least Ross has NO rude ghetto employees and they let people use the restrooms. Plus, I did not bother talking to the manager about this issue that day, because I didn't want to ruin my sunday evening over it. I believe, it IS illegal NOT to have a public bathroom for public places including retail stores! I'm sure the workers don't like cleaning their restrooms and that's why they keep it limited to customers, which isn't right at all!!! He asked a couple of employees "Andre and Kenny "at the north highlands location store number 5016 a question regarding men's briefs. After my brother walked away the two employees began to laugh and make fun of him saying he needs to go to women's pantie section. I tried to just ignore it as I continued to shop but they did not stop they kept on and kept on. I began to get angry I approached the two men and told them That was inappropriate and not funny Kenny laughed again saying actually it was! Finally I told them that was my brother and I heard everything they said and it was not right. I came to buy him clothes for his 16 year old son's funeral. His son was a victim of homicide 5 days prior. My brothers mind is everywhere and he couldn't think straight all he did was ask for assistance. You never know what someone is going through!! Cheap! Great place to shop for kids/teen clothes... so go ahead and take the kids shopping here for school clothes. They can have a whole year's wardrobe for cheap! For $30 my daughter was able to get 3 jeans (she's 14)... this store has a women's, men's juniors, plus sizes, children's, shoes, toys, and home sections. Clean and well organized. Security on staff, attendants in the dressing room are pretty strict. Before you go in you're supposed to place the clothes on this bar so they can count the clothes you are going to try, when you're done you're supposed to place them again so they can count the items you walked out with. Lines can get long but they have up to four (4) cashier stands (if they're all open). Since the prices are great deals and super cheap and located in the North Highlands area don't expect to see hoity-toity customers/shoppers here... this was my first time shopping here and I, myself, found 3 pieces of clothing for a total of $26 :) Happy shopping! I would have rated this store better if I didn't get treated like a thief as we entered the store my son had a bad with gummy bears and his drink and they said he must keep his bad behind the counter when we shopped and gave us a coupon with a claim receipt. As we shopped I saw 3 people stealing and I could see just checking our bags in the way out but I refused to turn the ghetto people in because the security was just hanging around doing nothing and could care less about the thieves I was watching stuffing clothes in there purse. Just sad you need to put more cameras and maybe get better trained staff and actually work. Mind you this was my first time here and I almost gave one star but had a change of heart due to the fact I found some shoes. You get what you pay for. DD's Discount clothes store is an interesting place. You can get decent clothes for a good price, along with small selections of housewares, electronics and random useful items. If you are a man, I would avoid this place unless you are looking for hiphop style clothing or workout clothes. But for women, this store seems to be great for everyone. Also, they have a pretty decent childrens section. Most of the employees seem friendly and helpful, and they keep the store clean. Worst customer service I have had in along time. my daughter and I went to there on June 7th 2019. We waited over ten minutes in line with only two cashiers. Could handle that! The lady in front of us decided to shop from the register same cashiers said nothing, Then when one of the cashiers called next we went to the registers the customer was taking her time so we went to the next register and the First cashiers looked at me and proceeded to chew me out telling me that I should have stayed at her register and not to do it next time like I was five years old that it confuses the people in line like they have no brains to see which cashier was not waiting on someone. The cashiers need to know who's paying their paycheck that without us customers nobody would have a job the customer is not always right but you don't talk to them like that and the cashier next to her tried to smooth it over which mad it worse by saying yeah the customers do you get confused. I work management in retail and I would've fired them on the spot for the way they talk to me I would never want any of my customers talked to the way they talk to me. I love dd's! Their prices are wicked awesome, the store is pretty organized, the staff is helpful and nice, the security is pretty fierce. What I don't like is the ghetto a$$ people that shop here. I found out if you go first thing in the morning and you stay away from this place around the 1st and the 15th you will do just fine. Do not shop here! I had been shopping in the shopping center and brought a purchase from another retailer into the store. I was told to give them my bag as they don't allow bags in the store or I had to leave. Um, excuse me, I'm not leaving my bags with anyone. Great way to treat customers as thieves as they enter the store. Upon discussion with the manager, I asked for higher managements phone numbers or corporate so I could complain about this "policy", which he couldn't provide. I wanted to return/exchange an item. i provided Carmen (she stated she was the manager and her tag didn't state that) she refused to return the item because the item's tag wasn't attached to it even though i provided her with the receipt and the tag along with it. she stated it was her return policy. they should discuss this return policy when people purchase the items and put up signs. I went into the store about a few weeks ago I suffer from urine incontinence and diabetes I went to the back of the store because I was told they had public restrooms I was told by a ghetto black woman that they did not have a public restroom I was very pushed and the store next door was kind enough to let me use their facilities I began to think you want people to shop there and can't provide a public restroom for your customers what about handicap people like me who suffer many different illness including Rhuematoid Arthritis and kids people in wheel chairs this need to be reviewed. read more
