Christopher has the worst customer service possible. When DCL embroidered a patch on a hat uncentered and I called them out on it, they stopped all other projects I had going with them, because Christopher didn't want to redo the patch. DCL can't seem to execute simple instructions, and Christopher is a pain in the ass. read more

I'll begin by saying that DCL did have good quality and April was nice to work with. HOWEVER the communication was not professional and the experience was disappointing. They gave me a quote and I approved it. Great. But my cutters accidentally sent the wrong panel on a few pant legs. They completed the order without discussing with me, I brought the correct pieces and they finished those without any discussion on an updated invoice. I emailed them asking for an invoice and a month later I got two different invoices, the second for nearly the same price as my original quote. If this would have been discussed and approved I would feel fine but when I asked about why there were two PO's, Chris emailed me and said "why am I having to chase payment?" !! I emailed THEM asking for an invoice on Oct 9th and they sent me the invoices on Nov 11. And I emailed them with questions just a few days later. Chris sent an unprofessional email gaslighting me into thinking I'm out of line for being SHOCKED my invoice nearly doubled with ZERO communication or approval. Seems like a bro run shop who think they can be condescending to their customers (maybe just the female ones?). The company was not organized and I won't be working with them again. Time to work with LA printers, bummer I really wanted to stay local. read more

nothing wrong with the quality of their production work in my experience - I really enjoyed working with the account rep when I first started to use this business in 2015, I think her name was Denise. She went out of her way to be incredibly helpful and was professional to a T. She left shortly thereafter and I was then turned over to Johnathon who did little to hide his dissatisfaction that my company was growing when I would contact him to place new orders over the years. DCL charged me in 2015 to create an embroidery file for my company logo. Then when I wished to end my patronage of DCL and asked for that file I paid for, the owner said it was his intellectual property...that's right a file I paid them to create using the logo my graphic designer made, they had the gall to claim was their intellectual property. If I had free time I'd take them to small claims court for the satisfaction of forcing DCL's smug owner to turn over what I paid for. While their work is fine, I would never deal with this shop again. Very glad to have found another shop that does superior work for less than half the price. read more

Great work. Easy to work with altho times a bit slow in the email response. They embroidered lots of different things for us, and have pretty fast turn around. I tried to get a logo embroidered on a hat. Other companies told me I couldn't get the logo that small and still cleanly done, but DCL did it! Highly recommend. read more

I found DCL here on yelp when I was in need of getting some work shirts embroidered for my shop. After doing a little research I gave DCL a call and spoke with Carlos about what I needed. After I got a quote from Carlos I headed over, dropped of some shirts and the the artwork for my logo. He quickly checked it out, and emailed me a quote for the pieces I needed done but was also conscientious enough to let me know that if I supplied him with 3 more shirts I would go down the pay scale for the $/garment charge. Sweet! I dropped off 3 more shirts and in about a week I received an email letting me know that the shirts were ready for pick up and this is before Thanksgiving when everybody wants it now. Five stars for great customer service, quick turn around time, competitive pricing and also for the quality of the embroidery. I'll definitely come back to DCL when the need arises. read more

I had a very difficult order to fill and DCL Productions was great! My office needed patches made to put on our company Timbuk2 bags. One of our in house artists designed the patch and we sent it off to DCL Productions. It was a very small run, with very specific requirements. Everything had to be exactly perfect - from the shade of the orange to the exact size and proportions of the image, down to the tenth of a centimeter. On top of all that, we had a deadline in about a month. Sarah helped me out a ton. DCL ran numerous samples for us and because we were only ordering a small number of patches, it was quite a nuisance for them. They were helpful, extremely fast with the turnaround, got us exactly what we wanted and had the final product delivered with time to spare!! If you are ordering from them though, I would suggest trying to get everything done in house and not take the option of having one of their outside vendors help out. The outside vendor was more difficult to work with, not as patient with us and it was more difficult with a middle man. read more

Owner didn't like that I mentioned other shops other prices and some examples of my finished product which was understandable but odd because he did ask me was I getting some stuff at Camputee done then assumed firmly my hats I showed him were not embroidered and was a patch until I told them I have the hats in hand and their embroidered bro... *response "oh" Then went on telling me how loyal and real he is to his customers and that he don't want to be used yadayada... cool good for you. While this whole time he's basically fake interested writing down my request for some quotes fake interested looking at my designs on the computer (knowing he checked out the conversation long time ago) on some nylon jackets all the way until we are done talking and said he'll email me the price quotes and even ended with i now know a fake handshake. With the energy in his argumentative attitude I walked out chuckling thinking this dude is not gonna email me. And as I figured I knew I wouldn't get a call a email nothing. My issue and point is if you have a problem with me saying a few things about other shops other prices etc then at your convenience don't ask me about other shops and comment on my finished products either. If you know your not interested in my business and rather me take it elsewhere don't sit there the whole time writing down my needs asking me questions etc knowing you had no intentions on emailing or calling me. Simple. He didn't bite his tongue the whole conversation. No reason to hold back. finish the convo with how you really feel 100% and say "you are working with others so keep it that way I have no intentions on emailing you quotes until you want to bring all your stuff to me thats how it works here" easy. Bad customer service is already a pet peeve. Then being phony with it is even worse. I've said all that but wouldn't go as far as saying stay away from the business because I have a friend or 2 myself that does business with them. so you use your own judgement. this is my detailed experience. can't speak for others. read more

I would give DCL Productions 7 stars if I could. First of all, the work itself was top-notch, delivered ahead of time, and the most affordable of the four custom embroidery quotes I received. Ris was an absolute rockstar with communication and executing my vision for monogrammed handkerchiefs for the gentlemen in my wedding. Chris, the owner, offhandedly asked how many guests we were expecting, and I broke down crying because I'd heard one of my few cousins due to attend tragically died this morning. I purchased a bag for my partner and wanted to add a personal touch since it was a birthday gift. I decided to monogram his nickname however since his birthday was a few days away I had no clue where to go. I started searching for companies that do embroidery and DCL was the closest to me right on Potrero Hill. When I called I spoke to Carlos who was very friendly and answered all of the questions and said for me to come in with the bag. When I arrived he came up to the office and I explained what I wanted. The best option was to create a patch with the embroidered letters and then that patch would be sewn on to the bag. Later the next day he emailed me an example of what the patch would look like and after seeing it I told him to go ahead. The next day (which was the day before my partners birthday) I emailed to check in on the progress and was told to come in later that day and it would be ready. I was pleasantly surprised to hear it was finished and ready to pick up. The entire experience of going to DCL great and recommend anyone looking for embroidery or silkscreen services to go here. did a great job, monogramming a cashmere sweater last minute in the heat of christmas 2007's holiday rush. the embroidery guy there (forgot his name, but his desk was right next to the receptionist's) went over different color options, font styles and sizes with me patiently and whipped that sweater into shape in about 15 minutes. called and said that it was gonna be $20, but when i got there it was $25. probably because i got slightly bigger lettering than normal monogramming, but hey it was a small price to pay for my procrastination. absolutely will be my place for monogramming and embroidery from now on. yeeeee!! read more
