If this would have been discussed and approved I would feel fine but when I asked about why there were two PO's, Chris emailed me and said "why am I having to chase payment?" !! I emailed THEM asking for an invoice on Oct 9th and they sent me the invoices on Nov 11. And I emailed them with questions just a few days later. Chris sent an unprofessional email gaslighting me into thinking I'm out of line for being SHOCKED my invoice nearly doubled with ZERO communication or approval. Seems like a bro run shop who think they can be condescending to their customers (maybe just the female ones?). The company was not organized and I won't be working with them again. Time to work with LA printers, bummer I really wanted to stay local.

They are steady, low-key, know their equipment and their materials, and deliver what they say they will deliver. Communication with them is ALWAYS excellent, quick, and to the point. I'm NOT a professional graphic designer or printer and don't always know the right terms but they've never looked down at me for that. BY COMPARISON: I live near a fancy photo/print/frame shop with in-house production. I thought I should "give them a try" with a time-sensitive project since getting to them doesn't require a drive across town. Standing in their shop, I had to ask three times before they grudgingly "let me" talk to their printer (who was right there in the back room the whole time and who sort of slumped across the counter and didn't really seem interested in my questions). That was the first sign of trouble. I am still waiting (three weeks later) for that shop to respond to my same-afternoon e-mail asking a couple of questions. MEANWHILE: In the three weeks that have passed, I've exchanged several immediately-answered e-mails with Hanson Digital, sent Mark a PDF to preview followed by a revised file to print, discussed and selected a paper for my time-sensitive project, received an e-invoice and paid it, picked up my prints, framed them, flown 2,200 miles across the country to deliver the framed prints, e-mailed Mark and team a thank you from the designer, flown home, and written this review. These are the people you call when you know what you want, and want to work with good people who want you to be really happy with the result. The prices are perfectly great but with high-quality printing, that's not what matters most. I used Hanson Digital for this same time-sensitive project last year. I'm so glad I went to them again this year. And I'll never NOT use them for any project I'm printing in SF that they can handle (they cover a wide range).
