My favorites are the Steak and Cheese pretzel log, Hot Dog pretzel log, and the cinnamon sugar pretzel bites. Their pretzel logs are incredibly delicious. So are their plain unsalted pretzels. Their customer service is generally OK; as is the customer service experience at many of the vendors at this market. However, the customer service has improved over the years as the owners have recruited students from local schools to run the registers and order fulfillment operations. This has been a beneficial business tactic as the added, friendlier employees improved the customer service experience. The fact that these workers are local, they are able to better connect with the customers which over the years there has been a conspicuous disconnect between the two. At Lydianne's, all of the pretzels are made on site and within eyesight of the cash register, so when they are busy you should expect longer wait times as they replenish their freshly baked goods. It is a pleasant experience to observe their pretzel-making process from start to finish. One thing to note is there are two service lines at Lydianne's; it is understandable for some to think there is only one line which is the one you see immediately to the right upon entering the market. However, there is a second line around the corner on the opposite side of the pretzel stand. Overall, a consistently great experience at Lydianne's and the prices are reasonable.

There are 4 very small tables in the place for standing only. Based on pictures I've seen on Yelp, they used to have a few tables there for sitting. I came today hoping to sit for a few minutes and enjoy a bagel with coffee. Not here. Finally, I ordered and the person who prepared my bagel called out my number and put the bag on the counter. I checked my ticket, confirmed the number, went to take it and another worker (the guy who took my order) ran over, grabbed the bag, asked me for the number and told me it wasn't mine. Then he asked the other person what the number was, she said my number and then he dropped the bag on the counter and told me I could take it. Weird experience. Their smoked meat (tastes similar to corned beef) is also very good (tender and full of flavor). They also have steamies (hot dogs), chicken tenders and Montreal style bagels and pastries. This outing I ordered the Jacques platter (French fries with slices of smoked meat), a tourtiere (beef pie) and sausage roll. All very very tasty. The meat pastries were buttery and flaky with generous amounts of meat. The Jacques platter had piping hot crisp fries and thick slices of that smoked brisket meat.
