Don came out yesterday morning, exactly at the time that was scheduled. Installed a new insulated garage door. He pointed out some shortcuts the original home builder had made, like using concrete debris for shims. The new door operates like butter, smooth and quiet. Any noise comes from my existing chain drive opener. Don hauled away all debris and the old, cracked door. I'm very happy with his work. BTW, DC Garage had come out a week earlier and given me an estimate. The price charged was exactly what I was told during the estimate. DC Garage Door is Great. I'll be using them again if I ever need to replace or service my new door. The new door should give me many years of service as long as I don't drive my car through it. read more

i was needing to have my garage door inspected for possible repair. i called DC Garage Door yesterday 3/25. Garage door wouldn't close under power. Thought the issue was just a support board separating from the wall. He came the next day fixed the board and identified the door was off track due to a damaged part in the motor. Was able to replace the motor and accessories same day. I called at 4:00pm Friday and they were able to come and repair the garage door at 11;00am Saturday. He was on time, texted 30 minutes ahead as promised. He was clean cut, professional. He oiled and did a tune up of the entire system in addition to replacing the broken spring. The service call was free. $180. Including everything. Torsion spring broke so I had to replace it. Called DC Garage Doors and they came out. Replaced both springs and he left. Immediately after he left my garage door started making a loud popping noise. I figured it was just from the new springs and it would stop. Then I noticed the travel limits weren't holding their limits. Reset the travel limits but the popping noise still occurred. Called, had someone come out. He told me I needed a new motor because the motherboard wasn't holding the limits and possibly what's causing the issues. He informed me that I could also just try replacing the motherboard. Decided to go that route and bought one for $90. Replaced it myself. Popping noise still occurs and the travel limits are still getting messed up. Called again and he's saying to just replace the whole motor. Idk if it's just something he did to my garage or what but it's definitely not sitting right with me. Now I need to just replace the whole motor and I will not be going through them to do so. Very disappointed! Very irritated! read more
