My mini donuts glazed with strawberry, topped with fruity pebbles.
    Michelle A.

These mini donuts are not just great, they might be the best donuts I have ever had. They make them fresh when you order, and they have a toppings bar where you can glaze them with maple, strawberry, chocolate, sweet condensed milk, and you can add all kinds of crunchy bits. The people frying the dough are kind and generous. They greet you with a smile and give you more than you ask for.

These little mini donuts are delicious! DC donuts is a food stall at the Eastern DC market and the donuts did not disappoint. They come out in batches from a machine and you can get them in different counts. I thought 36 mini donuts would be too much for us but they disappeared in 2 days. The donuts come plain and you get to add self-serve toppings at the stall. Options included nutella, strawberry glaze, condensed milk, shredded coconut, sprinkles and more!

Amazing mini donuts, we stopped by their pop up for the holiday market in DC by the Capital one arena. We definitely would have been satisfied by plain donuts, until realizing there was a wide variety of topping options! We will absolutely look for them again.

Donuts were $6 for 8 and you can drizzle/drown them in your choice of sauces, powdered sugar, and other toppings. Delicious!

If you're looking for donuts that actually taste like donuts and not like a mouth-full of sugar, come to DC-Donuts! I love how they're bite-sized and you can customize the donuts with different sauces/glazes and toppings on the side. I ended up going with Lemon glaze and Cinnamon/Sugar mix topping. I didn't look at all of the glazes since there were around 12 to choose from, but others I saw were Marshmallow, Strawberry, and Chocolate glazes Since they're made fresh to order, you may have to wait a couple more mins -- but it's worth it! The business owners were friendly too! If you can't find the tent once you reach Eastern Market-- keep walking and look for a yellow tent :) Enjoy!!

So yum! I've only ever had them at Eastern Market and I look forward to treating myself to their delicious, soft, fluffy, fresh mini donuts regularly!!! They have somewhat weird serving sizes- I believe you can get 8, 18, or 32 and I wish I could get like an in between of 12 for myself. They have soooo many topics from sweet and condensed milk and nutella to toasted coconut, sprinkles, and powdered sugar. And it's sooo yummy! they're fast and friendly, too. Love them!

We got donuts at DC Donuts one afternoon through Too Good To Go and all I can say is "Wow". It was a bit hard to find the tent at first because we thought we were looking for a restaurant, but we eventually found the brightly colored tent. We got a ton of donuts and a chai latte which was tasty. All of the donuts were perfectly fluffy, and we got to put a bunch of different toppings on them including nuts, fruit glazes, chocolate sauce, etc. This majorly itched our sweet cravings, would highly encourage anybody to stop by if they're near one of the tents.

Fresh mini donuts with custom toppings. Nutella and powdered sugar.

Had a donut craving this afternoon and just picked up. These are so fresh and delicious. They are a bit on the doughy-side, which is a plus for me. And the folks running the shop are so friendly. This might become a weekend go-to.

I've heard about this place and pass by it numerous times on our walks through Eastern Market and we had to stop this time to try it! The line was long and we ordered the mini donuts (8 pieces=$5)! They are very fresh and come out with no toppings. What's neat is that the stand has a variety of toppings you can choose from and put on yourselves. We chose to say basic and put on powdered sugar only! They were ok, tasted like pancakes or my gf said a funnel cake. Overall glad we tried it and I recommend the stand!

Apparently DC-Donuts is the DC operation for Migue's Magnificent Mini's which is based out of Baltimore, MD. I didn't realize the two were the same until recently. I've tried their donuts when they were at Easter Market in DC and at the National Harbor in Oxon Hill, MD. My most recent experience was on F Street at the Pop of Spring street festival on F Street in NW DC. These donuts taste just like funnel cake. In fact the batter is the same. Imagine a funnel cake in the form of a mini donut. You can choose from many toppings including powdered and cinnamon sugar, chocolate drizzle, etc.. You add the toppings to the donuts yourself at the topping station. The donuts come out fresh and hot. If you're buying for yourself get the small box which I believe comes with 18 donuts. Trust me, it will be enough. It is hard to give a place that sells nothing but donuts and is consistent anything less than 5*. Overall a very good experience which I recommend.

    Omg a communist donut!

DONUT COME HERE! Just kidding, you actually should. Because while we're not talking about the same league or plane of existence as the best of NYC (Dough, Doughnut Plant, Dun-Well) or Toronto for that matter, they are hot and chewy and really good. What to get: Apple Flavor hot donut What else: It's just north of the Eastern Market, in the loveliest part of Capitol Hill The servers here were absolute sweethearts. They were closed for the day but had a bunch of "slightly defective" donuts that were still warm and gave them to me with a smile. I was very grateful since I was trying a lot of things on my list and running behind schedule. I've been back twice and tried them fresh and they are definitely better fresh. Don't save them for later, at least not until you've had some. The Apple one is really good, I don't like the Red Velvet one though and it's a bit sweet for me. I think all of you that like Red Velvet in general, though, will love it. They are tiny and bite-size too, which I appreciate since I try lots of foods at a time. People will say, and have said, these are the best donuts in the DMV. I am not sure I can disagree. The problem is that is not saying much (sorry DMV) (hugs DMV). Anyway, I need to put my AC current back to DC and get on with another review. Donut forget about me. Ciao.

Cinnamon sugar and glaze mini donuts :)

I got a small bag of mini donuts because it was my first time here and next time I will definitely spring for a larger order. The mini donuts were $3 and you get a good amount and there is a station where you can add cinnamon sugar, glaze, powdered sugar, chocolate, etc. The stand is located at Eastern Market, typically outside. The kids working were very helpful and the donuts were freshly made and hot which made the experience even better. Now, if you are not a fan of cake donuts, this may not be for you, but please give them a try I prefer yeast myself and thought these were absolutely delicious. The first bite was like warm heaven, I added glaze and cinnamon sugar to my minis. I think I ate my bag in all of two seconds. Next time I will be sure to get some of their flavored donuts, but come early they tend to go fast.

This food stand's unapologetically bragtastic name made me raise an eyebrow, but then their delicious donuts made me raise the roof! I tried them for the first time today at the Fenton Street Market (Saturdays), and even on this hellishly hot day, those plump little rings of tastiness hit the spot. And they're mini! Mini practically means healthy, right? Migue's bakes up their fresh, warm mini donuts nonstop under a tent at various area markets. For just $3, they stuffed a small bag with way more than I expected - maybe 7? You can then dress up your plain donuts with your choice of toppings, from chocolate sauce to cinnamon-sugar to sprinkles, at no extra cost. They also sell fresh lemonade ($3, they squeeze the lemons to order) and blended coffee drinks. These donuts were fluffy, warm, and just gently sweet enough that they're a treat even without any toppings (though I recommend the cinnamon-sugar). They're not too filling and not cloyingly sweet, a perfect little snack for walking around the market. I'd have a tough time passing these by again now that I've tried them once.

The Glazed Cider Donut, Brown Sugar Bourbon Donut, Mocha, and Matcha Latte Donut are my favorite!…read moreThere's a galore of cake and yeast donuts with over 20+ classic and seasonal flavors. Best of all, there are mini donuts that are 1/2 of the size of the regular donuts (they have both!). The Classic flavors, mostly cake donuts are in the back while the seasonal yeast donuts and specialty pastries (croissant donut hybrids) are in the display case in the front. The issue is that while the donuts in the front are neatly labeled, the labels are teeny-tiny for the donuts in the back and impossible to read. I wish the labels were larger and there was a large menu for the full list of donuts (instead of the small chalkboard for just seasonal donuts). The super fluffy and moist cake Cider Cake Glazed hit the spot! Even though I prefer warm cider cake donuts, I didn't mind that it was room temperature. I couldn't resist the temptation to save the donut for the kids and noshed on the full donut not even leaving a crumb to spare! Nom nom nom. The seasonal (Sept & March) Brown Sugar Bourbon donut was fun to try. It was topped with delicious maple cinnamon frosting with a custard filling. While I couldn't taste the Bourbon flavor, the donut was tasty. The Mocha Donut filled with Mocha buttercream hit the spot! The seasonal (March) Matcha Latte cake Donut was divine! The seasonal (Oct) Caramel Apple Crumble Donut hit the spot with a maple salted caramel frosting and apple pie filling. I wasn't a fan of the Salted Caramel Cider or the Chocolate Cake donuts. They were a bit dry and after a couple of bites, I threw in the towel on both donuts. I also didn't like the Hazelnut cream donut (not a Nutella or ganache frosting that I expected). The Matcha donut filled with strawberry cream (April special) wasn't that good, the cream was way too sweet. Will come back for the Glazed Cider and seasonal donuts!

Our donut was light and fluffy, with a creme infused with real banana. You can tell that they are being thoughtful on their approach to artisanal donuts, and it really shows up in how they elevate this classic dessert. Its rare to find donuts that balance complex flavors, sweetness level, and good crumb but all of those things are what make it distinct fom others, especially chain restaurant donuts. Of course, these are probably made the day of and ours was a large and substantial size. Its definitely a treat-yourself type of moment to commit to the price point, but we weren't disappointed. My take on high‑price‑point food in Union Market is simple: that's exactly where you'll find it. So once you let go of that once you enter, you have a more pleasureable experience by allowing yourself to indulge and try to find the thing that will really fulfill you. And they did that for me. Thank you beautiful ladies who helped me select my donut!

But wow were the rest disappointing (super frustrating bc they look very pretty). All of them felt old and dry, the buttermilk glazed (which tasted like it had citrus glaze icing) and the citrus cake (way dense) were the driest. Chocolate ganache doesn't even taste like chocolate more chemical than anything. Service was extremely slow when all they had to do was place doughnuts in a box -- also seemed like customers were an inconvenience. Overall absolutely go buy other doughnuts. Don't waste your money, product to cost ratio is 1 star.

The shop is super clean and has a modern, welcoming energy that works whether you're grabbing a quick treat or sitting down for a full meal. I love the spacious vibrant design of this place, plenty of seating and standing area. I came for the donuts but stayed for the quality. I tried the Black Forest Vegan Donut, and it was soooooooooo delicious. Sometimes vegan pastries can be hit-or-miss with texture, but this one was spot on... rich, flavorful, and definitely a must-try. I wish they have a few more options for vegan donuts though. I had try Kings Hot Cocoa with Oatmilk, so happy they have non-dairy milk substitutions available. I love that they use housemade cocoa here. It's a more sophisticated version of hot chocolate, definitely more bitter than sweet, next time I will ask for chocolate sauce to be added to off balance the bitterness. It's rich and authentic, not that powdery artificial stuff you find at chains. I was surprised by their huge variety. Beyond the wall of donuts, they have a full breakfast menu, plus happy hour and drink specials. It seems like a great place to transition from a morning coffee to a late afternoon cocktail. They also have a rewards program, which is a no-brainer to sign up for if you live in the area with just your phone number. The staff was very nice and patient while I was deciding (it's hard to choose when everything looks so good!). The whole place is very well-kept and feels like a spot where they actually care about the details. The only slight hurdle is the parking situation. It's paid street parking, and it can be a bit of a challenge to find an open spot nearby. They basically give you no option to avoid paying a fee. (In response to the owner's response below: They have a sign that says NO CASH, so is a customer supposed to believe they'll accept cash IF the customer has exact change, as the owner says they will? And if they do accept that cash, then they would, in fact, have cash on hand anyway, which undercuts her claim they have no cash on hand...but they don't because they have a sign that says NO CASH. Every other business in the community doesn't blame the city for their own non-compliant policies, as the owner does, and accepts cash in the same circumstances. Plenty of places are happy to take cash and prefer it, and it is required by DC law.
