    Chocolate chip cookies

Best chocolate chip cookies I ever had. Were soft thin and the boneless kind. That's why i didn't take a picture they fell apart. Literally 10/10 i believe it was 2/$5 not bad because taste level top tier. Service was good and quick

Considering it's union market, the creamery really isn't terribly priced! I got their coffee ice cream and it was SO GOOD.

Was really impressed by all the different flavors that they had. I tried multiple and they were all good. I'm definitely recommend them and they had really good service. The vibe was relaxed and there wasn't really much seating around them, but you can find somewhere else to see in the general area. Overall, I would recommend coming here. It is pricey for the size that you get, but the quality is good.

Absolutely delicious ice cream. I got two scoops (cookies and cream, and tres leches cake) and both were amazing, creamy, and sweet, with the latter being my favorite (I love the taste of tres leches). Very generous portion and well priced. Super quick service too and I liked the vibe since it's a food hall and there's energy everywhere.

Cute little spot. I had to give 5 stars because of the oatmilk mint ice cream!!! The service is great especially with greetings from the cute little baby. I have 1 request though. Can you make a few sugar cookies without sprinkles?

I've heard good things about The Creamery and I'm glad we all tried it this past Friday night -- definitely made a positive impact on our evening :) KIDS SCOOP - 4.45 A pretty small scoop but perfect for a mini sweet treat. They let us sample the flavors here and the lemon blueberry was definitely my favorite. The first thing I tasted was the tart and strong citrus flavor of the lemon, which hit hard. Then the flavors slowly divulge into something sweeter like fresh berries. A good amount of people in our group got the lemon blueberry, pistachio or Bischoff cookie flavors. The ice cream were incredibly smooth and creamy, and not too sweet. I'd recommend giving The Creamery a try if you're in the Union Market District!

One of the few places I enjoy hand dipped ice cream, as I normally prefer to find soft serve. I've had their cookies and cream before and it was delicious. I tried the butter pecan on this trip, but it was lacking pecans so I'll probably switch it up again on the next trip. It was still very good, though. I also love that they support other local businesses with their small market items. I just wish I had gotten a pint or so to go!

Small ice cream shop inside of Union Market offering ice cream and cookies. There aren't a ton of flavor options (only 3 or 5 available when I visited) but the nutella biscoff cookie flavor I did get was delicious. With tax it was $4.89 for a single scoop kids cone.

This Java Chip was "chef's kiss"! So good!

Loved that I could test out a new flavor! The Java chip is so good. Definitely a new go to stop for the spring/summer.

My second stop in D.C. on the cookie excursion. I ended up getting ice cream there and saving the cookie for later. I was really pleased with the ice cream. I ordered biscotti and cream and it was blissful. The little golden brown pieces of biscotti cookies immersed well throughout the sweet ice cream to my delight! I savored every small bite to make it last as long as I could. The cookie was another story. The chocolate chip cookie was disappointingly flat and lacking any potential. A giant disappointing miss for the cookie.

Loved the creamy consistency of the ice cream! I appreciate how delicious the vanilla base is and the addition of toppings (Reece's cups and Oreos) really elevated the flavors! Quick service! Only thing is that it is hard to find seating to enjoy the ice cream since it's in Union Market! Overall would love to come back here though!

Really creamy! Chocolate peanut butter was divine. Wish there were more chocolate-based flavors but soo good!

The ooey gooey chocolate chip cookies are the best cookies in DC!!!!
    Aarti B.

Skip the ice cream and go for the cookies! The ooey gooey chocolate chip cookies with gobs of fudgy chocolate in every bite are hands-down the BEST chocolate chip cookies in DC! The single split scoop of Cookies and Cream just didn't hit the mark. The ice cream is very sweet and the toppings are sparse and not well mixed into the vanilla base flavor. The toppings need to be more evenly distributed and embedded into the ice cream. The former ice cream shop, Trickling Springs Creamery was soo goood!

The ice cream was good but it had little crystals of ice in it. That made it hard to enjoy. I wouldn't go back.

Honestly overpriced, the ice cream is fine but it's not worth 6+ dollars for a scoop.

Best ice cream outside NYC. I'm so picky about my ice cream. Gave thrown out many scoops. Tasted a few and had cookie dough today. So yummy.

Very helpful staff, cute ice parlor vibes and decor..what's not to like! First, I can only indulge in dairy free products so while the selections here were few, the choice that I made was surprisingly shocking-all cashew milk are not enjoyable lol. I ordered the raspberry cheesecake ice cream and honey, after one bite, I thought that I was eating dairy because it was THAT creamy and good! Filled with flavor and delicious to the last drop, I thoroughly enjoyed it on a sugar cone. But here is where I laugh to myself because I sat outside, enjoyed a delicious ice cream and decided to then try a patty lol yes! I ordered one of the curry chicken patty and as a native Island gal, this place knows how to blend their flavors. Those patties were buttery soft and filled with flavor inside-ENJOYED IT! Would I return? YES! I do hope that they expand their vegan flavors but yes yes yes! It's hot in the District, stop by local and enjoy a well deserved treat.

I even love that they offer single serving banana pudding in the perfect size container so that you can enjoy without over indulging. Check out Here's the Scoop, it's right next to the historical Howard University. You will not be disappointed and may just end up spending $20+ every single time you go because it's that good. They have a great list of unique rotating flavors, and it's always fun to come back to try out their new seasonal releases. A few of my favorites over the years have been their hibiscus sorbet -- a delightful dairy-free addition to their Hispanic Heritage Month flavors that is the perfect balance of tangy and sweet -- the cinnamon cardamom -- a super spiced ice cream that, despite being freezing cold, feels like you're about to drink a warm beverage -- and blueberry sour cream crumble. When I'm feeling less adventurous, they also have a really solid strawberry ice cream that uses real berries (none of that artificial nonsense you see in grocery stores) with a delightful fruity, slightly tangy flavor. There's usually a pretty long line, but it moves quite quickly since they don't allow samples. It's also a small space that gets crowded pretty easily, so I'd recommend taking your ice cream to go and enjoying it as you walk around Mt Pleasant or on the benches just below the entrance to Mount Desert.

One of my favorite things about this shop is their doggy ice cream. My dog absolutely loves it, to the point where he screams if we walk by without stopping. It has become part of our routine, and watching him light up when he gets his own cup makes the stop even better. They also serve an ice cream taco in the winter, and I cannot wait for it to come back. It is fun, a little quirky, and exactly the kind of seasonal special that keeps things interesting. When I stopped by, it was raining heavy, but the walk from the metro was totally worth it. I stepped inside, heard some great R&B jams playing, and I made my way to work that amazing smell was coming from. Along the way, I passed some cute merch -- insulated bags and more. And then there was a freezer with all of their pints, ice cream sandwiches, and ice cream cakes. I got up to where the scoops are being served, and there was a very helpful sign next to it with all of the descriptions. I appreciate it the thorough breakdown of what has allergens, what has dairy, and what is vegan. I pretty much tried everything. My favorites were the vegan ones (spiced peanut crunch, tamarind spice), the spiced date cake, saffron pistachio, mangos & cream, black forest... I could keep going. I split a generous scoop of the spiced date cake & saffron pistachio and it was divine. I could've gotten some cool toppings too, but decided not to. It was $8 as is XD. It's definitely a splurge, but a unique flavor profile like this I think it's totally worth it. The pints are $12, which also isn't bad for something this unique imo. I'll be back to get some pints. I've been a few times since opening, and I think it's fine, but it doesn't live up to expectations. I've found the soft serve to be better than the hard ice cream, but it almost has too creamy of a texture. The yogurt soft serve flavor with cardamom was the best thing I've tasted there.
