Do they have a ton of really cool flavors? Yes. Are they super busy and try to keep the line moving as fast as possible? Yes. Are they a little bit more rude than they should be? Yes. They also have a really weird role that you need to have a $10 minimum to have a credit card, really it's just a trick to make you have to buy more, which is pretty weird to me because I've never seen another restaurant do this. Just be aware of that before you come, with a group of friends, it is really fun to talk about all the different flavor options they have, and you will not be let down by them. Came after a day shopping in GT and wasn't disappointed! The menu is super overwhelming but in the best way -- there's something for everyone here and the ice cream shop is a classic in that you can build your own sundae and add toppings to your hearts desire. I ended up with a bowl of vanilla toffee with a healthy dump og crushed butterfingers on top. The portion size was ginormous but that didn't stop me from eating the whole thing! Service was super quick snd efficient. There's limited seating inside and out so definitely prepare to take your sweets to go. There's also a $10 minimum for card payments which is easy to hit if you're paying for more than one but you may need yo tack on a cookie if youre just paying for yourself. The shop is a little dated looking and they could definitely use a deep scrub/remodel. It's been awhile since I visited one of my favorite ice cream shop. They didn't disappoint. Same fast yet great customer service, many tasty flavors to choose from, and generous portions. I highly recommend getting their fresh tasty waffle cone with your order. My eyes were DEFINITELY bigger than my stomach when craving my three favorite flavors- rum raisin, amaretto, and coffee heath bar in their fresh made and tasty waffle cone. The coffee heath bar is not is an overly strong coffee flavor but you definitely taste the coffee flavor on the first lick then followed by crunchy heath bar pieces. The Amaretto has a mild almond crème based flavor. The rum raisin is a mild crème based flavor with very light rum flavoring and raisins all throughout. Rum raisin is my all time favorite ice cream and I'm picky because it's hard to find one that's flavorful with right balance of soft raisin pieces in it. Thomas Sweet has done it right! They also had samples of the heath bar fudge which was really good. Smooth and flavorful. Their fudge always looks so fresh and tasty. I wish they would sell it in smaller portions. I just had to have a cone. The line is usually out the door, but it moves pretty quick. The inside is rather small, so most people enjoy their cones outside BUT they do have a small seating area. I stumbled upon this infamous dessert spot by accident and I don't quite understand the hype. The portion sizes and variety were impressive but the cleanliness and taste were far below average. I had incredibly negative first impressions given how sticky the floors, tables and surfaces were. Gloves weren't being changed and someone behind the counter was counting coins and picking them off the floor. Sanitary conditions definitely weren't a priority. There was a $7 minimum for card so bring cash otherwise. Besides the vast number of ice creams offered, there were pints and premade ice cream sandwiches in the nearby freezers. Smoothies and shakes were available although I was unimpressed by the watery consistency. I ordered a regular strawberry which came with three hefty scoops. It tasted like the artificial bulk buy at Costco. The ice cream was on the harder side and very sweet. I didn't add on any toppings as they weren't refilled and crumbly.
