And not just honest, but caring, skilled, and genuinely good people. If you're looking for "Bill and Al" at AME Automotive--congratulations, you've found automotive royalty. I've been taking my cars to Bill since I was 16. I'm 45 now, and AME is still my first (and only) call for anything with wheels. Why? Because Bill and Al are the kind of guys you wish you could clone and send into every shady shop in America. Their word actually means something, and a handshake from Bill is better than a notarized contract. "I got you, you and your family can trust me." And he means it. Honest pricing? Every time. No gimmicks? Never. Random "Oops, we broke something, you'll need a new $1,000 doodad" shenanigans? Absolutely not. Work done right the first time? Like clockwork. Bill does most of the work himself because he actually cares if your car runs perfectly. And then there's Al--the encyclopedia of auto parts, walking around quoting part numbers like some kind of gearhead savant. Ask him for a fan belt for an '08 Silverado and he'll say, "2x2 or 4x4?"--because, yes, those are two different belts, and Al's brain somehow holds that info. My whole family has trusted AME for decades. And they've earned that loyalty every single time. Quick story: Once, a helper (no longer there) parked my freshly detailed rims in the mud. Came in for an unidentified leak. Were told head gaskets needed to be replaced and given a $1600…read moreestimate (including air filter, oil change?). Took the car to another place (Jensen, which is what we typically use). The car PASSED a coolant pressure test (I assume Prime didn't even do that) and means it's NOT head gaskets leaking. Also, we have no overheating and no white smoke from the exhaust. I can't recommend Prime to anyone after this. Jensen cleaned the engine and we are going back in a few days so they can actually identify the leak, not just guess and try to stick us with a giant bill. Edited to add: the business felt the need to call me AND my husband about this and when I said this wasn't appropriate, kept talking at me until I had to hang up and block the number. Wow, just wow.
