Wow! I have never brought any of my cars into a place where they did not try to sell me something(s). I had a continual slow leak in my tire. Brought my car into the Omaha Cass St. location. They found a screw in the tire and fixed it. Free of charge. Yes, I was lucky the screw punctured in the area of the tire that they could fix, but I feel I am luckier to have a found high-quality, trustworthy shop. I cannot recommend this location for business. On 5/14/25, I had my tires rotated and balanced-salesperson Joey - and discovered shortly thereafter that I had a shimmy in my steering wheel when driving at highway speeds. I returned to the Cass St. location on 5/23/25 and reported this anomaly to salesperson Nathan B. The tires were re-examined and I was informed that they couldn't be rebalanced due to excessive wear. I, therefore, purchased a new set of four tires and complained about the misreading of tread wear conveyed during the 5/14/25 appointment. After driving the vehicle at highway speeds, I noticed a shimmy in the steering wheel, again. Consequently, I took the vehicle to the 121st and Dodge location and had the matter resolved by Jonathan, who provided exemplary service, and was informed that the balancing was off by one (1) ounce on both the new left front and left rear tires. read more

My tire had been losing air for a couple weeks, topping it up only helped for a few days. Went to Discount Tire at 78th and Cass and was helped by Mitch, the assistant manager. He commented on the low mileage, used his tire tread gauge and told me my treads were dangerously low and I needed 4 new tires. He never checked the problem tire for any defect, just took me inside straight to the sales pitch about what types of tires were best, etc. I told him I would think about it. When I got home, my husband checked the tire treads with his gauge and found them to be absolutely fine, consistent with low mileage wear. The next day he took my car to a different Discount Tire, they found a nail in the tire, never mentioned tread wear and didn't suggest replacing any tires. They fixed it and I've had no problems since then. I guess Mitch thought I was just a stupid old lady who wouldn't get a second opinion. Never going back there. I can't say enough good things about this place. A few years ago I purchased a new set of tires for my car at a very reasonable price. Their warranty on tires is amazing! More recently I needed new wheels (rims) as my car is 2008 and with NE weather conditions mine had become corroded to the point I was slowly losing air in my tires as there was no longer a good seal. They were helpful in helping me pick some new wheels and suggested a couple different ones. I picked on of them that I thought I would like and had them put on. Unfortunately I really didn't like the way they looked on my car at all as much as I tried to like them. I called a few days later to see if I had options and guess what? They let me pick out a new set and were more than happy to order them and get them installed on my car. NO hassle at all. sent grandson to have tire fixed. He forgot to tell them the car belonged to me and I have the warranty. they could have looked it up with the VIN. The tire was fixable but he was told it was not and was charged $117. for a new tire. He brought it back to us and there was not a new tire on the car. Husband and grandson took it back. Come to find out it was repaired (as it should have been) but there was a "mix up" and he was charged for a new tire. They said "sorry we got it mixed up with another tire". that is not OK. Went in to have a flat tire fixed and they said the tire was too old and refused to even put it back on my car so I could leave. They finally put a cheap tire on my car and I went to Walmart and bought 4 of their best tires for what Discount tire would have charged me for 2. I took the borrowed tire back to them. My daughter took her flat tire in and they pulled the same trick. Refused to put her tire back on because it has been patched 3 times. They forced her to buy a tire she didn't want and really couldn't afford right now because of Xmas. Don't ever go there. They promise to fix your flat and will take your tire off and refuse to put it back on unless you buy a tire from them. I hope someone challenges the legality of them doing this. So I have to say, this location has always been pretty good to me but the young man (curly, reddish hair and a bit heavier) I dealt with today, while trying to be helpful, clearly needs some assistance in dealing with people. This morning I decided to signup for the discount tire card since I get all my tires here. Upon arrival I told the young man that and he proceeded to ask me for the normal stuff like my ID. Once he verified that I had to sign some things electronically. I took a few moments to read each page and then signed off. He proceeded to announce my credit limit, which of course I already knew, and then said he needed me to be aware that if I didn't pay it in 6 months, I would be subject to 30% interest. I said "yes it was 29.9% and I read that". He replied that he just needed me to be aware. Maybe this is the way all of your patrons are approached when using your card but as a person of color who is 50 years old with several credit cards and credit accounts, I know how this system works. Now the young man, Luis, that made my appointment a week ago was nothing but a delight. Same with Jesse who gave my car back to me so I know it's not an institutional thing but rather just a young man who doesn't know better. I also heard another young man speaking with an older white gentleman and he said "and you have the discount tire card so you have the 6 month interest free" for his particular purchase. He didn't warn him of what would happen if he didn't pay. I have a hate-hate relationship with the roads here. I replaced my tires in January and have patched or replaced every single one. Discount tire has been amazing throughout this whole process. They helped me choose the best tires for my vehicle and budget. I also have lifetime warranty on my tires which helps tremendously in savings. There is coffee and water when you need it. This is the kind of place that does only one thing, and does it very well. Don't go here for brakes, or windshield wipers, or an oil change. But if you need to buy, repair, or maintain the tires on your car, they're great. When I moved to Omaha a few years ago, I was surprised how poor the tire places were here. Maybe I was spoiled living in areas served by Discount Tire all my life. Here's what you can expect (and what I received on my recent visit to this location): the lowest prices in town, expert advice, and superb customer service. I came in with a vehicle with fairly hard-to-find tires, and they had several tires for it in stock. They greeted me with a smile and a handshake. I paid a couple extra bucks per tire, and they'll replace those tires for free, anywhere in the country, if they are ever damaged in any way. They'll inspect, inflate, rotate, and balance those tires for free, for life. I feel like I can trust this place. The sales people are paid on salary, not commission, so they're very low-pressure. They have a giant window with bar stools facing it, so you can watch how they treat your precious ride. Seating is comfortable and simple beverages are free. They treat female customers with the same respect they show male customers (a problem at some of the other local places). This is an especially good store to visit in 2013 for two reasons: First, business hasn't picked up yet, so you'll be in and out in just a few minutes (rather than the hour or hour and a half it takes at busy Discount Tire locations). Seriously, they're like an Indy pit crew back there. Second, they're using this store as a management training center, so many of the staff are top picks from around the country, training to manage their own stores as the chain expands in Nebraska. read more

I don't know anything about cars which is why I am here, always a condescending tone. I came in at 5 pm and was told the wait was 2.5 hours... they required me to be back at 6pm. I asked why I couldn't be at a restaurant down the street and the employee had a total meltdown. I asked to speak to the manager and asked if I could get a call and be back there in 5 mins... again that same employee started having a meltdown in front of that manager. Fast forward to today... my roommate needed service on one of his tires and was told 4 hours .. they closed in an hour and a half and was required to be back. I was able to get my tires look at the same day, other stores no 0 time or wanted me to leave the car for next day, from start to finish took maybe 45 minutes. I was able to get some basic fixes to my tires, bad valve and a nail, no up selling, no lies, no BS about problems with my tires. I woke up yesterday morning to a completely flat tire. I aired up with my compressor at home and got to work because I had 0 time to deal with it. After work I felt so stressed out. I had to air up again of course and was trying to think about where to go that wouldn't cost an arm & leg to get a repair. I had heard discount tire did patches I was thinking it would cost me around 20 or so. So I headed over. I walked into this store and was greeted immediately. The store was well kept. I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman that helped me. He was friendly, and knowledgeable. He let me know up front if they could patch it, it would be free. While I was there, 2 other people were also in getting tires patched. For free. One woman after getting her tire patched started asking about new tires. The employee showed her around, showed her specific tires, quoted her specific prices and was telling her about different discounts she could use. And when she decided she had to get going, told her to feel free to call in and they could talk more about her options. He was very low key, not pushy or over exaggerated about her need to get new tires. I went in around 5:30, not realizing the store closes at 6, but there were no negative reactions from the staff, they treated me like I walked in at noon. I was there til about 6:05, they let me wait in the building while they were getting their closing duties done. Then pulled my car around front with a newly patched tire, and as an added bonus, they also replaced my valve. Again for free. I can't tell you how much I appreciated this. It's so rare that anyone can catch a break anymore and this was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend checking out this discount tire. This has been the, without question, the best tire buying experience I have had. I haven't had that many, so take this with a grain of salt. But let me tell you, there is something really amazing about a manager who does cross checking with you for other nearby tire retailers, who will even look at online retailers, and who will beat those prices just to make sure that they can take care of you. The manager, Miguel Cabrera, is polite, attentive, and greets customers when they walk in the door the same way that one would expect to be greeted in a restaurant. He has a positive attitude, and is very clearly focused on the customer's experience. I mentioned to Miguel that I was about to go to Costco to price snow tires. Miguel and I got online and looked at Costco's pricing as well as at TireRack.com's pricing. TireRack.com had the best price by about $17/tire, so Miguel matched their price. Also, they have a Veteran discount here! That's becoming increasingly uncommon and is much appreciated. The result was that I saved about $150 over what it would have cost at Costco, about $100 over TireRack.com, AND it was done the same day in about 90 minutes. Great work, Miguel.
