Wow! I have never brought any of my cars into a place where they did not try to sell me something(s). I had a continual slow leak in my tire. Brought my car into the Omaha Cass St. location. They found a screw in the tire and fixed it. Free of charge. Yes, I was lucky the screw punctured in the area of the tire that they could fix, but I feel I am luckier to have a found high-quality, trustworthy shop. The workers were very polite, service was fast, and the analysis was honest. You do not find many places like this, be it in auto maintenance, medicine, or any other field. I highly recommend them! read more

Very disappointed with my experience at Discount Tire. I have been extremely frustrated and disappointed with the way Discount Tire handled an issue that occurred after I had my tires serviced there. I purchased two new tires from Discount Tire in January and returned in June to purchase two additional tires. Unfortunately, the tires installed in June did not match the tires I had previously purchased. After those tires were installed, multiple warning lights and sensors on my vehicle came on, lights that had never been on before. The tires also were not properly balanced. During the same visit, a lug nut/wheel stud was broken during the installation. I was given a certificate and instructed to take my vehicle to Brakes Plus because Discount Tire said it was not something they normally handled at their facility. What should have been a simple tire purchase turned into multiple trips between Discount Tire and Brakes Plus, time away from work, additional appointments, and continued concerns about my vehicle. What is most frustrating is that the technician who checked my vehicle in was aware that these warning lights were not on when my vehicle arrived. I was told that something may have been damaged during the service and that Discount Tire would take care of it. However, the situation was eventually sent to their claims department, and Discount Tire ultimately denied liability. I was offered and sent a $100 check as a customer-service concession, but that does not resolve the underlying issue or address the frustration and inconvenience this entire situation has caused. I understand that problems can occasionally happen during vehicle service. What matters to me is how a company responds when something goes wrong. In this situation, I do not feel Discount Tire stood behind its service or did enough to make the situation right. I paid for new tires and expected my vehicle to be returned to me in the same condition it was in when I brought it in. Instead, I was left dealing with warning lights, repairs, multiple trips to different facilities, time away from work, and uncertainty about whether the resulting issues could even be completely resolved. I am very disappointed, not simply because of the $100, but because I expected better customer service, accountability, and support from a company I trusted with my vehicle. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Discount Tire. read more

Let's start with the price match guarantee and you can't go wrong. I happen to be doing a little bit of tire pricing a short time ago and lo and behold my tires that I knew where I borrowed time ran out of time! I called while on the road and the folks at Discount Tire indicated I could come right in and if I didn't mind waiting a short period of time they would take good care of me. I was in and out in just over an hour with the best pricing in town (that includes some of the Costco/Walmart tire shop pricing). Super friendly, super professional, super fast and super pricing. Can't go wrong. Highly recommend these guys. read more

Everyone in the shop seemed like professional, hard-working people. Mitch, the assistant manager, was a down-to-earth guy who really helped me out and took the time to answer all my questions. You can tell they actually care about their customers, which isn't always the case with mechanic shops. I was impressed with their customer service and the overall vibe of the place--it seemed like a cool work environment. The wait felt a little long, but they were clearly busy and working hard to get things done right. read more

They were very helpful and fast. I got four new tires for my 2023 Chevy Colorado and was done and on my way in an hour.

Lack integrity. I came in because I had a nail in one of my tires, hoping to get it repaired. I was told by L.J. that it was likely able to be repaired by the way that the nail was lodged in the tire, but he would let me know if it wasn't able to be repaired, which he did. I wanted to see the hole in the tire myself when I arrived back at the shop. The team allowed me to see the tire and hole, and Ariel explained that it was not possible to be repaired. However when I contacted an outside source with experience in tire repair, I was made aware that the tire was repairable and that Discount Tire was being dishonest with me. I asked them to attempt to patch up the tire, and Ariel said he would attempt. Instead of attempting, Ariel made the hole in the tire worse in order to "prove" that it was unrepairable. Ariel jammed a screwdriver and drove a slit through the hole and told me it was unrepairable. Of course it wasn't, when he made the hole bigger. Forcing me to purchase a new tire instead. When initially when I arrived I was told that it was repairable and that it would be free to walking out with a tire worse than when I came in and having to pay $300 for a brand new tire unnecessarily. They post integrity on the wall, but unfortunately they were dishonest with me, from someone with knowledge on vehicles and repair, don't go here, there are plenty of other places that will be truthful and do a better job. read more

I love Discount Tire and will always recommend them to others. They will patch tires for FREE if you have some sort of slow leak. If it isn't fixable they are usually able to get you a new tire put on the same day. Their prices are also some of the best I have seen. They also are good at recommending services to you without making you feel pressured, which i really appreciate. read more

I cannot recommend this location for business. On 5/14/25, I had my tires rotated and balanced-salesperson Joey - and discovered shortly thereafter that I had a shimmy in my steering wheel when driving at highway speeds. I returned to the Cass St. location on 5/23/25 and reported this anomaly to salesperson Nathan B. The tires were re-examined and I was informed that they couldn't be rebalanced due to excessive wear. I, therefore, purchased a new set of four tires and complained about the misreading of tread wear conveyed during the 5/14/25 appointment. After driving the vehicle at highway speeds, I noticed a shimmy in the steering wheel, again. Consequently, I took the vehicle to the 121st and Dodge location and had the matter resolved by Jonathan, who provided exemplary service, and was informed that the balancing was off by one (1) ounce on both the new left front and left rear tires. read more

I went to get 1 tire for now and first off there's 3 people at the counter and they have me sitting for 15 minutes. Then 1 of them goes outside with me and takes a scanner to all the tires. We go inside to a chart and he says your treads below legal limit and by law I can't put 1 tire on and let you leave unsafe but. So I cut him off and said so can you put a tire on or no? He says no and starts to say something else so I said ok thanks and left. As if I was gonna say well I guess I'll take all 4 then. Thanks for saving me I could have been pulled over. read more

My tire had been losing air for a couple weeks, topping it up only helped for a few days. Went to Discount Tire at 78th and Cass and was helped by Mitch, the assistant manager. He commented on the low mileage, used his tire tread gauge and told me my treads were dangerously low and I needed 4 new tires. He never checked the problem tire for any defect, just took me inside straight to the sales pitch about what types of tires were best, etc. I told him I would think about it. When I got home, my husband checked the tire treads with his gauge and found them to be absolutely fine, consistent with low mileage wear. The next day he took my car to a different Discount Tire, they found a nail in the tire, never mentioned tread wear and didn't suggest replacing any tires. They fixed it and I've had no problems since then. I guess Mitch thought I was just a stupid old lady who wouldn't get a second opinion. Never going back there. Hope nobody disrespects your mama like that, Mitch. read more

Fortunately the problem with my tire was resolved to my satisfaction. I got a reply to my yelp review along with a link to provide my contact information. The tire was new enough that I was able to get a prorated refund on the 5th tire that I bought. Thanks to Tye (sp?) And David for making it happen. I'm happy with the resolution. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. A few years ago I purchased a new set of tires for my car at a very reasonable price. Their warranty on tires is amazing! More recently I needed new wheels (rims) as my car is 2008 and with NE weather conditions mine had become corroded to the point I was slowly losing air in my tires as there was no longer a good seal. They were helpful in helping me pick some new wheels and suggested a couple different ones. I picked on of them that I thought I would like and had them put on. Unfortunately I really didn't like the way they looked on my car at all as much as I tried to like them. I called a few days later to see if I had options and guess what? They let me pick out a new set and were more than happy to order them and get them installed on my car. NO hassle at all. They say they just want the customer to be happy and they mean it!!! read more

sent grandson to have tire fixed. He forgot to tell them the car belonged to me and I have the warranty. they could have looked it up with the VIN. The tire was fixable but he was told it was not and was charged $117. for a new tire. He brought it back to us and there was not a new tire on the car. Husband and grandson took it back. Come to find out it was repaired (as it should have been) but there was a "mix up" and he was charged for a new tire. They said "sorry we got it mixed up with another tire". that is not OK. They should have been embarassed, but were not, and at least act like this never happens. Watch out! read more

Went in to have a flat tire fixed and they said the tire was too old and refused to even put it back on my car so I could leave. They finally put a cheap tire on my car and I went to Walmart and bought 4 of their best tires for what Discount tire would have charged me for 2. I took the borrowed tire back to them. My daughter took her flat tire in and they pulled the same trick. Refused to put her tire back on because it has been patched 3 times. They forced her to buy a tire she didn't want and really couldn't afford right now because of Xmas. Don't ever go there. They promise to fix your flat and will take your tire off and refuse to put it back on unless you buy a tire from them. I hope someone challenges the legality of them doing this. They claim it is now their policy. Just another rip off! read more

I bought four tires from them last year, and they are still working great. The staff were helpful and made sure I got discounts. So I have to say, this location has always been pretty good to me but the young man (curly, reddish hair and a bit heavier) I dealt with today, while trying to be helpful, clearly needs some assistance in dealing with people. This morning I decided to signup for the discount tire card since I get all my tires here. Upon arrival I told the young man that and he proceeded to ask me for the normal stuff like my ID. Once he verified that I had to sign some things electronically. I took a few moments to read each page and then signed off. He proceeded to announce my credit limit, which of course I already knew, and then said he needed me to be aware that if I didn't pay it in 6 months, I would be subject to 30% interest. I said "yes it was 29.9% and I read that". He replied that he just needed me to be aware. Maybe this is the way all of your patrons are approached when using your card but as a person of color who is 50 years old with several credit cards and credit accounts, I know how this system works. Now the young man, Luis, that made my appointment a week ago was nothing but a delight. Same with Jesse who gave my car back to me so I know it's not an institutional thing but rather just a young man who doesn't know better. I also heard another young man speaking with an older white gentleman and he said "and you have the discount tire card so you have the 6 month interest free" for his particular purchase. He didn't warn him of what would happen if he didn't pay. Please spend some time with him making him understand why putting everyone's information out there and warning people of color what happens if they don't pay their bills. Thank you. read more

I have a hate-hate relationship with the roads here. I replaced my tires in January and have patched or replaced every single one. Discount tire has been amazing throughout this whole process. They helped me choose the best tires for my vehicle and budget. I also have lifetime warranty on my tires which helps tremendously in savings. There is coffee and water when you need it. You can walk to HyVee if you get hungry. I will say if you can arrive right when they open, do that. They get busy quick. read more

Great service. I bought a used car and the tires were just on the "good" side of needing to be replaced. After a few months I was old they were "legally bald". This is the kind of place that does only one thing, and does it very well. Don't go here for brakes, or windshield wipers, or an oil change. But if you need to buy, repair, or maintain the tires on your car, they're great. When I moved to Omaha a few years ago, I was surprised how poor the tire places were here. Maybe I was spoiled living in areas served by Discount Tire all my life. Here's what you can expect (and what I received on my recent visit to this location): the lowest prices in town, expert advice, and superb customer service. I came in with a vehicle with fairly hard-to-find tires, and they had several tires for it in stock. They greeted me with a smile and a handshake. I paid a couple extra bucks per tire, and they'll replace those tires for free, anywhere in the country, if they are ever damaged in any way. They'll inspect, inflate, rotate, and balance those tires for free, for life. I feel like I can trust this place. The sales people are paid on salary, not commission, so they're very low-pressure. They have a giant window with bar stools facing it, so you can watch how they treat your precious ride. Seating is comfortable and simple beverages are free. They treat female customers with the same respect they show male customers (a problem at some of the other local places). This is an especially good store to visit in 2013 for two reasons: First, business hasn't picked up yet, so you'll be in and out in just a few minutes (rather than the hour or hour and a half it takes at busy Discount Tire locations). Seriously, they're like an Indy pit crew back there. Second, they're using this store as a management training center, so many of the staff are top picks from around the country, training to manage their own stores as the chain expands in Nebraska. read more

Cruz was a little rude and didn't have the best people skills. Maybe it's just my luck but every time I go into a auto store I always get treated rudely. I don't know anything about cars which is why I am here, always a condescending tone. First I call and they said it would be free for my flat tire, then it goes to $60 for the cheapest tire, then it goes to $144 for their best cheapest option. They said max 1 hour and a half but it ended up being nearly 2 and a half. read more

Super helpful and from my experience honest and above board. I stopped in to have two tires looked at for possible leaks. I was able to get my tires look at the same day, other stores no 0 time or wanted me to leave the car for next day, from start to finish took maybe 45 minutes. I was able to get some basic fixes to my tires, bad valve and a nail, no up selling, no lies, no BS about problems with my tires. They explained what they thought the problem may be, but once they take a look at them they would no for sure. Highly recommend.... read more

I woke up yesterday morning to a completely flat tire. I aired up with my compressor at home and got to work because I had 0 time to deal with it. After work I felt so stressed out. I had to air up again of course and was trying to think about where to go that wouldn't cost an arm & leg to get a repair. I had heard discount tire did patches I was thinking it would cost me around 20 or so. So I headed over. I walked into this store and was greeted immediately. The store was well kept. I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman that helped me. He was friendly, and knowledgeable. He let me know up front if they could patch it, it would be free. While I was there, 2 other people were also in getting tires patched. For free. One woman after getting her tire patched started asking about new tires. The employee showed her around, showed her specific tires, quoted her specific prices and was telling her about different discounts she could use. And when she decided she had to get going, told her to feel free to call in and they could talk more about her options. He was very low key, not pushy or over exaggerated about her need to get new tires. I went in around 5:30, not realizing the store closes at 6, but there were no negative reactions from the staff, they treated me like I walked in at noon. I was there til about 6:05, they let me wait in the building while they were getting their closing duties done. Then pulled my car around front with a newly patched tire, and as an added bonus, they also replaced my valve. Again for free. I can't tell you how much I appreciated this. It's so rare that anyone can catch a break anymore and this was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend checking out this discount tire. They are helpful, kind, understanding, fast, and when it's a simple patch; free. read more

This has been the, without question, the best tire buying experience I have had. I haven't had that many, so take this with a grain of salt. But let me tell you, there is something really amazing about a manager who does cross checking with you for other nearby tire retailers, who will even look at online retailers, and who will beat those prices just to make sure that they can take care of you. The manager, Miguel Cabrera, is polite, attentive, and greets customers when they walk in the door the same way that one would expect to be greeted in a restaurant. He has a positive attitude, and is very clearly focused on the customer's experience. I mentioned to Miguel that I was about to go to Costco to price snow tires. Miguel and I got online and looked at Costco's pricing as well as at TireRack.com's pricing. TireRack.com had the best price by about $17/tire, so Miguel matched their price. Also, they have a Veteran discount here! That's becoming increasingly uncommon and is much appreciated. The result was that I saved about $150 over what it would have cost at Costco, about $100 over TireRack.com, AND it was done the same day in about 90 minutes. Great work, Miguel. Thanks for the excellent service! read more
