I have been reading reviews in Yelp for years and felt compelled to register and post my first review after my experience at DC Autocraft. First off let me start by saying DC Autocraft is not someplace you take your car if you want a quick dirty job. These guys are exceptional, they care about their work, and they will do everything to get the job done right. With that said if you care about how your car turns out rather than how quick they can get it to you, then DC Autocraft is the place to take your luxury German car. My new Audi S4 was in a hit and run accident and I looked at a few places before deciding to go with DC Autocraft. I will give a summary of my experience. It did not take long for me to figure out that this was an elite car restoration shop. After getting a tour of the facility and an explanation of every stage of what my car would go through I knew I was in the right place. Every car in the shop was a luxury German car, indicating right away they are specialists. DC is even one of a handful of aluminum certified repair facilities in the country that can work on cars like the R8. It all starts with the shop operations manager, Peter. He made me feel comfortable that my car would be as good as new, and even showed me cars that were in various stages of repair similar to what I would need done. What I appreciated most was he did not give me any false hopes of a short turn around time. He was conservative with his assessment. I believe this was easier to predict because I had done all the legwork with my insurance company beforehand, filing a report, getting a police report to the insurance company, and making sure their liaison had all the information they needed to proceed with the work. I had an estimate by the end of the day, my insurance rep out to the next day, and the shop had a check in hand by the end of the week. With all the administrative tasks set aside, Peter could get his team cracking on the work. When you have a Luxury sports sedan, you want to know this is not some mom and pop body shop your insurance company pushed on you. You want professionals that are just as meticulous about their work as you are about your car. While I had great interactions with everyone at DC Autocraft, their Lead mechanical master technician Matt, is one of the most knowledgeable car guys I have met. Matt explained every detail about my car, what he was taking apart, how it would go back on, and even spent tons of time educating my about my car. Matt also happens to be a car guy, meaning he is an enthusiast that knows a lot about performance mods, and understands people that are into their cars. He will make sure he treats your car the way you would want it to be treated if its in for minor to major surgery. During the time my car was there, Matt said I could come down any time if I had questions, Well I did, lots. He let me take pics of my car in different stages of assembly/disassembly, and best of all answered any question I had. Since my S4 had the suspension and exhaust removed, I figured I would ask if I could get some after market components I had planned to install put in. Without hesitation, both Peter and Matt agreed. I had an aftermarket exhaust, sways bars and end links installed without any additional out of pocket expense. It was clear they wanted to make me happy, and since they already had these components removed, why not. Matt also spent extra time to make sure to adjust and test every aftermarket component so that it was as good as it could be. He even let me come by to dynomat the car while the interior was still disassembled. I only wish they did regular service calls, because I would take my car to Matt to do all my regular maintenance if I could. If you love your car and have to get it repaired, go to DC Autocraft, meet Peter and Matt and rest assured they will get your car looking and feeling like new. One last thing, I took my car to an Audi dealership a few weeks after I got it back for service, asked them not to wash it (dealer courtesy washes will put all sorts of swirls and scratches in your clear coat), and they did. I called Peter and explained how the dealer screwed my paint up, and he offered to have their detailers fix it. I dropped my car off for the afternoon and got it back in great shape. This is customer service, this why I would take my car back to them any time. I also have to say that Miro did a great job handling everything with my insurance company, and he kept me informed of the progress. I think folks need to weed through the good and bad reviews for what they are, folks that are not happy probably have the wrong expectations set on time lines or paperwork issues with their insurance, which probably should not be all blamed on DC. If you have your claim in order, you insurance company is clear on what is covered, then you should have a good experience. Short of administrative hassles, know this, DC Autocraft does quality work "." read more

The WORST nightmare of your life!!! RUN!! Go ANYWHERE ELSE!! I could write a Novel for all the BS this company said and put me through. Ex: The worst communication/service you've EVER had, Time line promises that were not only never kept, but DRAGGED out for months and months. An estimate that DOUBLED! Rude comments that were made by staff who obviously could care less about their customers and work. Work- NOT SO GOOD. We are so pleased to have brought our new Jaguar into D.C.for the necessary body repairs. It was well worth the wait and we have the peace of mind in knowing that our car was in good hands during the repair period. Our XK received excellent attention and we were so pleased to have it back looking like new again. In the detail shop, J.C. really went the extra distance to get the finish just perfect. Carlos the Dept. Manager was very reassuring and helpful in getting our car back in such great shape. Our thanks to the ladies in the front office for coordinating all of the logistics I hope and pray that we never again need services from a Body Repair Shop ... but if we did? My practically brand new Jaguar was hit while parked. Took it to DC Autocraft at Rusnak in pasadena. Completely painless. Stephen Miller at DC was sympathetic to my plight and the car was fixed perfectly the first time. Clearly this company knows what they're doing. If you want a rush or mediocre job, go somewhere else. Every week DC called me with detailed updates and my car was done a week early, my Christmas present. Seriously, DC is the place to go, no fooling around, just perfect repair. read more

DC is the BEST! They were experts at working with the extremely difficult insurance company ( the insurance company wanted to use used parts etc. but DC did not budge until they agreed to only new parts for the repair ). In addition I had a problem with my sensors, I noticed it after I had already picked up my car post repair. DC took my car back to the dealer for repair and discover that the issue did not have anything to do with the accident but they STILL coved the repair at no cost to me. They went above and beyond. I was so delighted to see that at DC true customer service is alive and well! Ask for Kevin or Peter, they are amazing! read more

I've taken my car to DC twice before and they did an incredible job but the customer service had a lot to desire, not to mention they had my car the first time for 6 months and the second time for 5 months. Way too long. So when I was hit after someone ran a stop sign I choose another shop that my insurance recommended so it wouldn't take so long. I figured since it was the dealership that I always do my maintenance at it would be in good hands. Wrong! After the repairs were "done" I was called to come pick up my car only to get there and find runs in the paint and a mask between the bumper cover and the bumper which made a bulge the first time. Orange peel finish and dirt in the paint the second and third time. One month later and four attempts at picking up my car I finally took my car. The following day someone backed into me and broke my bumper. I did not want to go back to the same shop so I took it to DC Autocraft. I learned that since I had been there before the shop was under new management and met with Miro Bilaver the new general manager. After taking him out to my car he showed me how the paint didn't even match from the dealership. I don't know how I missed it because it stood out like a sore thumb. Miro was able to talk to my insurance company and they let DC fix not only the new damage but the damage from the first accident as well. It took them only one week and they kept me informed through the whole process. When I got my car back I swear to you it looked and felt brand new. Dealing with Betty, the receptionist and Isabelle when she would call with updates was always a great pleasure. My only regret was not taking my car to them in the first place. When my pristine 2005 Lava Orange turbo Mazdaspeed Miata was hit by a teenage driver looking at her cell phone I was off-the-deep-end distraught; I never dreamed the extraordinary metallic paint could be seamlessly matched... boy, was I surprised when I picked up my car from DC Autocraft! It is impossible to tell the car had ever been marred. Really, it is amazing. And they finished 3 days ahead of the promised delivery date. AND- the facility is as pristine as my beloved little roadster! Everyone was as courteous and sympathetic as they could be, with regular updates on attaining insurance approval and obtaining authentic Mazda parts. If you want to come away from an accident with absolutely zero memory that it ever happened, do not hesitate to take your car here; I doubt I will ever have to use the 5-year workmanship warranty that came with the repair, but obviously they stand by their work. And with good reason: the repair is flawless. Thanks to everyone at DC Autocraft, it is a very, very happy ending. read more

Such a terrible company. Avoid like the plague! They give you dates that mean nothing. Repeatedly. They quote you costs that mean nothing. They up charge you and change dates by a factor of months. It's hard to tell if they are incompetent or bald-faced liars. Don't say you haven't been warned. read more

I have to say the customer service at DC Autocraft is exceptional. I had a small issue and within 30 minutes (after they had closed) they were on the phone sorting it out. I really loved their service, everyone there was incredibly nice and helpful. I took my Tesla after it had been hit on the front side bumper while parked at a lot and they were able to make it once again look like new. The manager Miro Bilaver was incredible gracious and helpful, took time to answer all my many many questions before the insurance people arrived even though they were very busy. I own a 2017 Audi A7, and unfortunately I was involved in an accident. My beautiful car had suffered major rear damage because someone was not paying attention I quickly called my Rusnak dealer and asked who they recommend for automotive repairs, they quickly responded with D.C. Autocraft, they mentioned that all their vehicles are taken care of by them, that made me feel at ease. I initially contacted the service rep for D.C. Autocraft at the dealership. He was very helpful, and fully explained the repair process to the T. He made the transition a very pleasant one and I knew my car will be in great hands! The time frame of repairs was around 3 weeks, I know... being without my car for that long was a stretch, but I knew that if I wanted my car to be done correctly it was something I would have to endure. Nonetheless, the team over at D.C. Kept me in the loop of things, from calls, emails, to text messages, I was always in the loop. I don't know too many body shops that keep you posted as much as them, it was a bit overwhelming at first... and of course this was something new to me, I shared this with my friends & colleagues about D.C. And they were very impressed, they always thought shops kept you in the dark when it came to repairs as so did I. There's a bad stigma when it comes to repair facilities, specially body shops and how it seems like you're always being lied to, so you tend to feel uneasy. Well, not these guys! Although I hated the fact that my vehicle was in for repairs, these guys really went above and beyond the call of duty. I finally got my car back the other day, and needless to say I shed a tear of happiness. Thank you D.C. Autocraft! And the rest of the team. I hope I never have to see you guys again, but if I do... I will DEFINITELY bring my vehicle to you guys! Happy to have my baby back! read more
