I would give these guys more stars if I could! Stopped by to address an issue with the undercarriage of my front bumper. What I noticed immediately was how friendly the staff was which isn't always the case with auto repair shops, so that instantly gave me a good vibe. Even though they were busy, one of guys took the time to try to take a look under my car, literally laying down on the street to make the attempt (I was parked on a side street). He couldn't get a clear look so said if I stopped back the next morning, he'd get it up on the lift for me. Cut to the next morning where he got it up on the lift as soon as I arrived. They saw that it was a minor fix and as long as I was okay with a makeshift patch up (which I totally was since I have an older car) they got me out the door in 10 minutes without charging me. I dented my wife's new Tesla model X while she was out of town. I took it to three different auto body repair shops after Tesla said it was too small for them to do. One said I needed an entire replacement door from Tesla. The second said the same thing. And both said that ordering components from Tesla was next to impossible. Then, I took it to George at US Auto Collision who said he could repair it and have it ready before my wife got back from her trip. I was hesitant because US Auto had only one Yelp review and had recently taken over from the previous owner, who used to be my "go to" body shop when my kids were first learning to drive. Long story short, I decided to gIve George a try. He not only said he could do it without ordering a new door from Tesla, but promised to have it done before my wife returned from her trip. I called him back to make sure he could match the special metallic blue Tesla color before driving back to his shop with the car. While George had the car, I talked to several body shops who confirmed the difficulty working on aluminum doors like those on a Tesla. George called today and said the car was ready, and I hurried over to pick it up before my wife returned. I couldn't believe the superb job US Auto did. They even repaired a torn strip of moulding that would have cost hundreds more to repair, without charging more than what I was quoted. At the shop, I Met George's father, who had learned auto repair in Europe, where spare parts can be difficult and expensive to obtain. The job they did on my wife's new Tesla was extraordinary. I'm glad I took pictures of the damage beforehand because you cannot tell where the dent was. It looks brand new. The paint color matches, and looks factory new. And there is not a trace of where the sizable dent was. When my wife got home this evening, the first thing she did was to go check out her car. She couldn't even tell which side had been dented. I am so happy with the work George and his dad did, I'm going to take my Mercedes Sprinter RV in to US Auto Collision to fix a paint scrape I've been putting off.
