Install home networking utilizing Ubiquiti equipment (WAPs, Network Switches) 3. Flush Mount TVs in multiple rooms 4. Install security system utilizing exiting pre-wire 5. Install floodlight 6. Install smoke detectors (Nest) Matt's team was great! Everything was installed perfectly and the team spent time to make sure everything was working as we liked. We did encounter some issues, however, Matt had his team work with us to correct them as we encountered them (i.e. faulty pre-wire causing false-positives on the alarm). I have to give a special shout out to Keith. He installed every single TV in the house to perfection. I was really looking forward to a beautiful flush mount install of our TVs in every room (especially the living, game, and media rooms) and he delivered. Will attach more photos of the cameras and networking closet (which was installed along with a fan).

Eric is now that guy for me with networking. My home has never had good internet. It was built before internet was much of a thing, it's stone, has radiant barrier, outdated connections, nonstandard shape, etc. I prepped Eric for these challenges among others and told him I had very high standards. He was undeterred and we set up a consultation. Eric had to have really impressed me, as I let him drill through stone which is highly uncharacteristic of me. I now have rock solid WiFi both inside and outside my house ~600Mbps for an extended distance and constant speeds over Ethernet even faster than that. I highly recommend Eric to bring an old home up to modern technological standards.

Additionally, 2 wks after cancelling their service the monitoring station called us 15 times saying they were receiving trouble signals. DT Security's Danny and his installer Angel are excellent. We'd been with ADT/Brinks for 37 years…read more Our current system had been hard wired into the home we built in 2002. Its notices went out on a landline via Spectrum. Spectrum was out so much lately, (actually constantly), our system kept notifying that it'd lost communication waking us every morning between 3 and 5 am. We did not know dropped communication was the error. ADT did not know what the error code was. We attempted to resolve the issue over a 2-3 week period with ADT, including a 45 troubleshooting time after pushing ADT's AI to get a human tech. The tech could not even find what our error code meant. He could not resolve the issue, but wanted to install a new system with all new equipment. A second ADT tech the next day had me show a pic of our control panel and she immediately looked up the error code and it was dropped communication. She too wanted to take everything out of our system and start over. The estimates for two ADT sources were off by several hundred dollars. I was told the less expensive one was not correct even though it had a price guarantee until August 28. I was fed up. I went to AI. It said pull the AC plug on the system, it tends to hang on to error cords. Thank you! That stopped the beeps. We went through one more episode with corporate ADT and ended more frustrated. I looked for top home security system installers in the Bastrop area and DT Security (Round Rock) was on top in Yelp. I called and instantly reached Danny. He took us through their whole process, including taking advantage of the well installed original sensors. We reviewed Danny's contract. Our system would still use ADT (DT Security is a licensed ADT installer). The very next afternoon DT Security's installer Angel, upgraded our system to cellular, attached all the trip circuits we had, added new equipment when necessary and was done in 3.35 hours with everything working perfectly. Angel first met with my wife Chris and I, explaining everything in detail he was going to do. He was very considerate of our time and kept us informed through out the install. This morning I had a question and sent Danny an email. He called me within an hour and walked me through something I'd missed. So no 30 minute holds on the phone, no AI to negotiate with, no being passed from tech to tech, just good solid "local" services. After dealing with ADT for weeks, this was certainly a breath of fresh air and excellent service. This was a strong reminder to deal locally.

It's more common than not that companies you transact with will do anything to avoid any kind of call back after they've gotten their money, but Monarch Technologies is the exception. It's obvious from the moment you talk to them that they're interested in a long term relationship, not a quick buck. After researching equipment I found that ALP offered one of two A/V receiver brands, the Audio Control AVR series, that could compensate for the difficult aspects of the room (wood floors, lots of glass, open kitchen concept) because they can be calibrated with DIRAC. Able came to my home to access the situation and concluded the receiver and calibration would definitely improve my stereo sound and modestly improve my surround sound. After installation I realized a dramatic improvement in both! The ALP team also installed a motorized fireplace mount (very cool!), and reconfigured all of my other A/V equipment for the best connections to the new AVR-9 receiver. Excellent job! The consultation was free of any sales pitch, the installation and calibration was done by genuine experts in the most professional manner. Although I usually DIY, in this instance it really paid to have such professionals do the thinking and all the work. As a result, I now have a sound that rivals any home theater despite my room's issues. Thank you ALP!
