Sadly overrated. Had cupcakes from here twice. Cake was dry and the frosting was like biting into a stick of butter. Horrible, not sweet no flavor. Should have an option for real American buttercream and work on making a cake that tastes even better than it looks. I can say however their macarons are pretty good and worth going for. read more

If you're looking for a sweet treat or a good cake/pastry to take to a gathering, look no further. Dbakers is located in downtown/wynwood area right by Lagniappe. It has some tight and very few parking spots in the building behind the establishment but for the most part has street parking. You walk inside and it's a small little shop for to go's where you can smell the sweetness the moment you walk in. The staff is so friendly snd helpful(also patient because i could really not make a decision lol) Some of my favorites: the passion fruit pie, a true fresh and tarty flavor that melts in your mouth. férreo cream puffs, delicious! Their cake cups are incredible, ice tried all except the cookies and cream and let's just say my mouth is watering as i write this review. Their cheesecakes are also good my favorite is the guava. Such a good place for anyone with a sweet tooth. They also make the most beautiful decorative photo worry cakes. If ever around the area (or not and just have a sweet tooth) this place is worth it! read more

I have followed dbakers on Instagram for a really long time because I am obsessed with watching baking/decorating videos as someone that is not skilled in that department. So, we were in Miami for a weekend, and I knew I had to stop by! The location is a bit off the grid, but once you see the colorful walls, you're in the right place. I'm not sure if there is designated parking, but there was some street parking adjacent to it that probably was metered, but we figured we would be okay to run in and out. Despite the electricity being out for their whole block, you could tell the team was doing what they could in a tough situation. They were calling customers to ask them to pick up any cold orders ASAP and still were smiling to us that just walked in to shop. We picked up some macarons, cupcakes, and a slice of cheesecake and everything was delicious! We even hopped on a plane the next day with the box of macarons in the suitcase and it survived the plane ride without issues! Prices are pretty standard for upscale bakeries and the quality was excellent. I am jealous of those in Miami that can visit regularly! read more

This is legit my favorite bakery! They never fail to deliver sweet excellence! Stopped in a couple of weeks ago to get some sweet treats for a virtual election watch party. I tried the giant Ferrero Rocher cream puff. I got the last one. OMG, it was sweet, delectable goodness! I can't think about how many calories it is but definitely a shareable treat. I also got a giant cookies-n-cream macaron with blueberry filling. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the blueberry but I loved it! It really balanced the other flavors. It took me a couple of days to work my way through the treats but I'm glad I thought to pop in and treat myself! You'll never be disappointed unless they are all out of what you are craving. Thanks dBakers! #ThankYouThursday read more

Stopped by here for dessert and never realized it was right next door to Lagniappe! Got the "Nutella Cheesecake Bruh" from the macaron bar. The cheesecake creme that filled the macaron didn't taste that appetizing to me and the Nutella was more of a syrupy consistency, probably so they can get the drip look. I also was really confused how to eat it. You can't really eat it like a sandwich and it was difficult to cut to take bites out of. Based on other great reviews reviews, I might need to come back and try something new! read more

We've ordered cakes from them a few years ago that we loved, and most recently a full cake as well as individual slices and a cake cup from dbakers. Their items are incredibly visually pleasing, but the flavors are just not what they used to be. read more

Ordered on Uber eats and I was worried about how the delivery would come. I called to ask about other cupcakes options which aren't shown on the app, I was instructed to add whatever flavor I wanted in the additional information area. My mom loved her flan cupcake and my favorite was the red velvet. Now enough about the aesthetics, it taste great too! I enjoyed it because the frosting is sweet but the cupcakes aren't overly sweet! They compliment each other perfectly. Great customer service and beautiful presentation and taste. Everything was fresh. The macarons were softer than I'm use to having but they were good too! Pistachio was my favorite. I ordered 6 cupcakes and 6 macarons. read more

Found this place through my sister. She claimed they had the best macarons in town. I have tried them before and even had their cakes but never been inside the store. If you are on a diet...Stay away. This place is beautiful and most importantly delicious. The wide variety of flavors, omg. We ate 6 macarons before we reached the next block. Thats how good they were. I asked to take a picture of their cake fridge because honestly these cakes were a work of art. They would make a great Birthday gift, beautiful and delicious too. We ordered, raspberry, nutella, carrot, tiramisu macarons. If you like Nutella, that one is a must (my favorite one to date), the tiramisu one was my second favorite since it even had a coffee bean right in the middle. It was awesome. The raspberry one was really good but more sweet for me. If you have a sweet tooth, you gotta pass by here. They have cupcakes (a cupcake with a flan on top, if you know, you know), cookies, cake cups. read more

Yessss I'm a huge fan. Dbakers sweet studio was five minutes away from my Airbnb so I had to stop by and check out for myself. I spent way too much money in here, but man it's hard not to. Everything looks so good. The macaron sandwich especially. I do wish they're cheaper though. I got the Nutella cheesecake bruh it was so tasty. I also really want to try the berries one and the bonfire one. Couldn't make up my mind for awhile. I also got four individual macarons, they're all so good. The interior design is also very cute, I love all their animal arts. Anyway, if you're a huge fan of macarons, this is your place for sure. read more

Absolutely fell in love with dbakers !! It was so difficult to pick something to choose because honestly everything looked soo good ! Decided to order ahead the Nutella cheesecake and wow, that was by far one of my favorite cheesecakes ever. So rich and so creamy ! I could of eaten the whole thing if my stomach would allow me. Loved that it was topped with macaroons, made it so special! When entering the store, I saw the cookies and I had to order it right on the spot. I'm so happy I did ! One of my favorite cookies in Miami ! Loved all 3 but the peanut butter and jelly one was my top favorite ! However if you are a guava and cheese or red velvet fan, get those cookies too ! It's easy to pass Dbakers sweet studio as it's a little spot located on a busy street. Make sure to stop by for a life changing sweet experience. We had purchased a cake online from Dbakers about 3 years ago which we enjoyed very much and we were glad to visit their storefront for the first time. The cakes have a dramatic beautiful look with a very tall cylinder shape and elegantly designed. The flavors are delicious as well including guava cream and cheese and salted caramel. The sweet studio sells fresh baked croissants, cookies, cakes, macaroons and other sweet delights. We tried the special raspberry pistachio large macaroon and tres leches. Both were delicious and not overly sweet. The trees leaches was not like the traditional one and was a lot lighter and airy. It was an enjoyable experience. read more

I've been wanting to stop here for awhile and I finally got to stop by. Parking was a little tricky because the lot in the back is very narrow. I had already knew I wanted to get some macarons and I got a bunch of assorted flavors including cookies and cream, guava, salted caramel and some others. I also got a tres leches cake cup which looked amazing. The person helping me at the counter was very helpful and the shop was very clean and presentable. I would definitely stop by again. The salted caramel macaron was everything! The guava also amazing! The cupcakes and cakes also looked amazing as did the key lime pie. Highly recommend stopping by. read more

I previously ordered the cake sampler from them online (I couldn't pick just one flavor so I opted for 5 ) . My favorite was the chocolate cake hands down, 2nd runner up is the raspberry pistachio. Although I won't have a regular need to order cakes from them, I also really enjoy their macarons. There is a wide variety of flavors, to help my fellow yelpers, I will do my best to try them all and give you feedback. So far my favorites are the Nutella, Raspberry, and Pistachio flavors. read more

This local bake shop made me a happy customer. I put in a request for a quote on Sunday. They were able to get back to me with 48 hours and prepare a cake for the end of the week. The process was very easy. Within the quote you add a couple pictures of what you're looking for and they deliver. Beyond the expectation. The team is very specific with instructions upon arrival. They tell you whether to refrigerate the cake or if you can leave it out depending on the temperature. They also give you transportation instructions on where to put it in the car when you're driving. The shop itself is very cute. And I recommend you check out their Instagram feed. That's all. :) Great job dbakers team. P.s. our friends immediately picked off all the goodies that decorate the cake from the chocolate pieces, to the Nutella jars, and even the Nutella macaroons. We loved it all and you gained new loyal patrons. read more

Called upon Yelp to find a well rated bakery for my niece's 18th birthday and dbakers came up 1st on my list. The order was placed within 24 hours and we were very happy with the results of this beautiful little cake. It had all the glitz and sparkle for our princess and let's not forget to mention that it tasted as good as it looked. Buttercream filling was delicious and the cake was pretty moist. Just be sure to let the cake sit out before serving as the buttercream stays firm in the fridge which effects the taste and texture some. We'll surely be calling on them again to light up another family members face with a dbakers' smile. read more

Trust me find a different bakery. These people are rude as F! It's really unbelievable for the price

Based on all the glowing reviews from fellow yelpers we decided to give dbaker a try for that cheat night sugar high. But alas, really not feeling these cupcakes, meh, average at best for these taste buds. Really no idea what all the hype is about. And ordering via Ubereats resulting in a price of about $47 (includes tip, fees, etc.) for a 6-pack of cupcakes and 1 cookie, definitely not worth it. Can check this joint off the list. read more

Amazing cakes and a very cute location. I have been there twice for last minute cakes. Obviously, last minute you won't be able to get a big variety and it is based on availability. But if you get the chance to plan ahead, order the cake online within 48 hours and pick it up. Both cakes I ordered were very pretty, perfect for the gram. But it was very tasty as well. Very light and not overly sweet. I heard they have classes, I haven't attended them but will try one day. read more

Oh gosh guys. I hate leaving bad reviews but I feel like I have to be honest. I visited this place because of the reviews, but I was really disappointed. I left 3 stars because they had like cream puff that was actually really good. I also ordered a cheesecake, a macaroon sandwich and a key lime pie. The cheesecake was ok. The macaroon sandwich was really overwhelmingly sweet, for my taste. I took one bite and I was done. But the key lime pie was the worst offender! Not only overly sweet but it tasted & smelled like pure egg, out of all the 5 ppl with me.. no one wanted a bite because of the smell. The worst part! I called, while in the parking lot, and I told them the situation w/the key lime pie (didn't even mention the other desserts because that's just a matter of taste preference, not their fault) but I asked if I could switch the key lime for ANYTHING else because it was really really uneatable. I mentioned maybe they had a bad batch & didn't notice, (it happens) I was trying to be understanding. but They said "sorry but we can do that, once you buy it that's it". I asked them to please ask their superior, they put me on hold and said they were told NO. I explained that it smelled really bad etc. and I would take it back inside for them to smell & taste it. they said no. I was really in shock with this! I wouldn't come back here at all, this says a lot about a business to me. My mom is a pastry chef, so I have a good background on taste and quality. And I owned a restaurant a couple years back, so customer service & being responsible for the quality of your product are paramount ! * i took the key lime pie to my mom for her to taste it. I will post a picture I took of her tasting the key lime pie. So you can see I'm not exaggerating. She spit it out read more

I would pass by every time, and I was always too busy to stop by. Until one day I said enough is enough I can't take it anymore and went right inside. This is my second time coming here. The first time I went just to see what they had. I bought 1 red velvet cupcake, 1 chocolate cupcake, 1 Red velvet cookie and 1 chocolate chip. The second tome I came to buy my son the Nutella Vanilla Bean Cake since he loves Nutella. Well I have to say that everything from the cookies to the cupcakes to the cake have been ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I honestly found the place to buy my cookies, cakes, cupcakes. And on the cake they place two macaroons as decoration and OMG they are so delicious, the macaroons were filled with Nutella and they were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I had never tried Macaroons neither did my son and we were both so impressed on how delicious they were. Hands down everything here is so DELICIOUS. And the best part they are very welcoming and really nice. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. And yes I will be coming back for more. read more

dbakers has quickly become my favorite cake bakery in town! If you need a fabulous cake I promise you that dbakers will not disappoint. Their cakes are not only gorgeous but they are absolutely delicious! I ordered a snickers cake for a friend's birthday last month and was so impressed with the flavor and moistness of the cake, I ordered another cake for my sister's birthday. My sister loves cotton candy so I ordered dbakers' signature cotton candy cake. The cake was not only stunning, but tasted just like cotton candy without tasting artificial or too sweet and the texture of the buttercream was perfect. I conveniently ordered the cake on their website 2 days in advance and was able to select the exact time for pick-up at the store. When I arrived I was immediately greeted by the store manager and one of the owners. Knowing that I'm supporting a small, local business with such friendly and talented owners is the icing on the cake. I can't wait to try the rest of their signature cake flavors soon! read more

Let me start by saying that this place got my full approval and 5 star award not because I have met the owner and he is a really nice guy but because the cakes that this place bakes are second to none. I love to cook and bake so I have in my life bought no more than 3 or 4 cakes for family or friends. I have decided to bite the bullet and from now on save myself a lot of time and spend the money to buy a cake from shakers whenever the occasion calls for it. First off I called in and was offered what seemed like 4 dozen types of cakes and frosting varieties, each one sounded better than the last but I purchased the most simple one because my gf loves vanilla and butter cream icing. I did not expect much when I went to go pick it up once it was ready. It was decorated beautifully but in the back of my head I thought, how good can a plain cake like this be? Which I could have prepared at home? Well, I am here to tell you that I was so wrong in making all of those assumptions. The cake was prepared to perfection it was perfectly moist and the icing was the perfect consistency and flavor wise was spot on. When the cake was served, people actually went for seconds because they could not get enough of it. Thank you for a delicious cake dbakers. read more

My friend goes here often to get cakes for parties and I decided to tag along with him to pick up a cake. It was my first time there and the first thing I noticed was all the unique flavors of macaroons. I feel like the macaroon trend of 2012 has finally simmered down and we've all had one but to find a place that took a sweet that's been done to death and offered it a new life was cool. They had flavors like blueberry French toast and Tiramisu and it tasted and smelled exactly like that. I will definitely come here for my next birthday party because I think the cakes are reasonably priced starting at $70+ read more

I am at dbakers WAY too often, which is still not often enough ! I have a huge sweet tooth and they have never disappointed. Their buttercream frosting on all things is my favorite from the cake, to the cupcakes. Anytime I am in charge of getting the cake for someone's birthday you can be sure it is coming from dbakers.
