I have been wanting to come here for over two years however they have some very odd hours posted for when they are open. However I was lucky enough to be able to visit them while having brunch at the next-door restaurant for which they share a space and I believe are owned by the same company. Do not be fooled by what is shown out on the counter as that is only there for show and selection. The actual donuts are below and or behind away from peoples breathing liquids coming out of their mouth and also from touching. The donuts are very creative and very tasty. They are a little bit pricey but that is to be expected for the area and considering that competition in this area is stiff for these types of donuts. Therefore I consider it well worth it and very tasty and they stayed nice and soft even overnight.

Me thinks this is my favorite donut place now... Yowzers it's good! The perfect donut. The yeast donut is chewy, fluffy, and delicious. I had the chocolate yeast with strawberry filling (it had real strawberries in the filling!). It looked adorable with little pink decorative crunch balls sprinkled on top. High quality donut top of my donut list folks! I also had their coffee and a grinder "Triple P" as well. I liked the meats for the Triple P, it had prosciutto, pork shoulder and thick cut bacon with a nice thick slice of provolone, herb aioli, arugula, tomato and roasted red pepper (yum!). The meats worked well together, but thought the focaccia bread didn't hold up too well to the sauce and the flavor of the bread was a tad overwhelming to the sandwich components. I would have preferred a sturdier bread like maybe a ciabatta. Don't take me wrong, the focaccia was tasty and aromatic, but perhaps it's just my preference. The Triple P was a serious sandwich - it was huge and I was full on half of it and saved the other half for a snack. I'll definitely be back when I'm going down Central Street again. The shop is very charming and welcoming. The staff was very friendly and kind and I loved the vibe. Definitely a spot for me to hang out during the NU football game days this coming fall! Located just about a block and half from the Central St UP-N Metra stop and the NU football stadium, it's a great location to have a cup of coffee. Street parking available

Raspberry Glazed by The Artist Formerly Known As The Artist Formery Known As Prince https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7vRSu_wsNc Working part time in a five-and-dime My boss was Mr. McGee He told me several times that he didn't like my kind 'Cause I ate too much DB3 Seems that I was busy eating donuts or something No different than the day before That's when I saw her, ooh, I saw her She walked in through the out door, out door She had a Raspberry Glazed The kind you find in this donut store Raspberry Glazed And if it was warm she would buy a dozen more Raspberry Glazed I think I love her Built like they are I had the nerve to ask these donuts If they planned to do me any harm So I put her donuts in my tummy And we went riding Down by the old Donut Farm I said now, overcast days never turned me on But something about donuts and her mixed They weren't too light But I could taste them when I kissed her And we both needed our donut fix All the donuts in all the world in all the places couldn't compare to these, the DB3 legend, my fave donut shop in the US, in the world. After many visits here I stand by my conclusion if that DB3 are the best donuts in the world. Yes there are fancier fluffier ones in New York City that are more expensive. Yes a lot of major cities now have their own version of these fancy ass donuts. But I honestly don't think you can get any better than DB3 for their original glazed and for their spectacular sensational miraculous raspberry donut as well. And so many others. Get: Raised Glazed & Raspberry. If Raspberry gets in your hair?: You'll have a Raspberry Beret. What kind: The kind you find in a second hand store. What if it was warm: If it was warm, you wouldn't wear much more. Not Bond's Aston Martin "DB5", or the boy band "DB4" (if that's not a boy band then it should be), or the scene that the heels girl filmed last night - "DP3-some." I almost didn't come to DB3 (almost came to some Rap Vid instead). Had to work out and I'm all, why am I going to eat a donut? And they're serving crap like Maple Bacon. I assumed it'd be another terrible overpriced hipster donut shop. So, so glad I went against my instinct and gave it a try. Now my favourite donut shop in the whole country. And I've tried *all* the donuts in NYC. Based on Yelp, I got Raised Glazed - the traditional fluffy one. Heaven. Never had one made as well as this. Simply spectacular. They make it like the English do. The edges, top and bottom are very moist with grease (like my gf). So good that I needed more, so I turned around. Every now and then I get a little bit nervous that the best of all the donuts are gone. Turn around. Every now and then I get a little bit terrified and then I taste a bite of the donut. Turn around, bright eyes. Every now and then my donut falls apart. Avoided hipster-sounding donuts. Tried cinnamon maple (a cake donut) (not into cake, too dry, bland, and chalky). Great flavour. Best Cake Donut I've had. And Raspberry Glazed. Changed my life. Made Prince write a song. (Made me rewrite a Prince song, same thing). Homemade, fruity, divine. Like Divine Brown. Oh you kids don't remember that? Fine. But yeah. The best jelly donut ever. And granulated sugar is rare, a lovely touch, reminded me of England. Glazed v Raspberry? Close call. Like the call I shared with your mother last night. Negatives: Owner guy is friendly, but talked down to other employees. Chill dude. It's donuts, not nuclear war. DB3 will send you to heaven faster than a red meat diet. Perhaps literally bc they're so bad for you. Pricy, yes, but so worth it. Chicago's best, probably the nation's best. Oh my GOSH this place is so good! They have basic donuts as well as more fun/crazy flavors. We got 5 basic and the Raised Glazed was the best (front middle). The others were fine but RG took star of the show for sure. We also got empanadas from a nearby Mexican restaurant and omg the feta/spinach/potato was the best empanada I've ever had. Absolutely amazing. Service was quick and kind and the ambiance is very cutely lit in there! Would be a cute place to get coffee and a bite and do some work!

Ordered some of their donut letter for a baby sprinkle and they were so cute and delicious! We got an additional assorted dozen and these were also very good. Ordering process was easy and they were so kind over the phone, we had great service. Highly recommend!

Came by at 11 am on Saturday, need to come earlier as they were sold out of many donuts. There were boxes of orders waiting for pick up. We still managed to pick up 6. Glazed yeast, chocolate yeast, raspberry yeast, chocolate cake, one with bacon (can't remember name), and glazed cake. DB3 is consistently good. Never disappoints! I'm so glad I was introduced to this place through a Yelp Elite event. Sadly, they no longer serve grinders. They said, it didn't make financial sense. Too bad, they were so good!

My friend and I went here since it's been on my list to try for a while and we were in the area. I think we got here maybe an hour or two before they close so maybe they took out their only donuts left, but the choices on the counter didn't seem that interesting or unique to me. I'm also not sure if they have more donuts in the back. My friend decided to get some kind of jelly-filled donut and I opted for the fruity pebbles one. The fruity pebbles was okay but I wish it had a jelly filling inside. It wasn't dry without it, just light and doughy which was probably the best part about it. I wasn't impressed with the options nor the flavor, so I don't think I'll be coming back.

Donut despair, Db3 Donuts is here!! Just floored at how fresh, pretty looking, and delicious these donuts are! The place was hoppin' on this Sunday morning with every table filled, napkin dispensers empty, an overflowing garbage can, and a short line to choose our treats. Still $2.75 for a fancy and $1.50 for a usual suspect. Since my last visit a couple years ago, the drink menu has expanded to include a variety of flavored nitro cold brews. I splurged on a $5.75 hazelnut one. Yummy to try once, but I wouldn't get it again. The donut line up includes gluten free options now and various flavored filled pockets like banana cream pie, Boston cream, and chocolate strawberry filled! Flavors do rotate though. Everything we tried (red velvet, choc ganache, sprinkles, banana cream filled, and chocolate strawberry filled) was tip top fresh and worth every cent. The glazed donut base was so fluffy and had the perfect spring to the dough when taking a bite. Literally perfection! Will definitely be back!

I hate donuts- I always have. The orange lemon poppyseed donut from DB3 changed that. It's phenomenal. The staff is clean and quick, and the donuts are very aesthetically pleasing. It's the only donut I am excited to eat. The people I was with enjoyed the others as well. (from @tastessky on Instagram)

Located on Central Street and adjacent to Ten Mile House . We went 30 minutes before closing, so not all varieties were available. We took home the raspberry and chocolate raised donuts. The raspberry donut was very good, but the raspberry frosting was mild and could have been more tart. Theraisws chocolate donut, was made fresh and the chocolate was rich and delicious. The workers were very nice .

    Custom ordered for v-day
    Connie H.

For V-Day, I had decided I was going to surprise my boyfriend with a scavenger hunt leading to DB3 with a custom donut message. He LOVES donuts. I had been communicating with Amanda a few weeks prior to arrange the message, design, flavor, pick up details, and payment. It's $3 per letter/character and some change for special toppings. On the week of, I submitted payment. I had a little trouble getting through due to me waiting till the weekend of to pay (she had warned me it was going to be busy and she was right). I had to change the details slightly due to me getting my boyfriend's schedule wrong, but they were super accommodating. While I didn't try the donuts myself, I was super impressed with how well organized they were. He told me when he got there, there was a line out the door and a table with pre-orders. He thought he would find his order there, but didn't. A DB3 worker offered him help, but they were still unable to locate his order. Since I had already kind of ruined his surprise when I messed up his schedule, I told him to ask for Amanda if he had any trouble. So he did. Amanda came out, got his answer (his nickname), and gave him his donut. They were sooooo awesome to accommodate my changes and request despite their business. I'd order from them again. Boyfriend says the donuts were good as well.

So a lot of times you get a donut and the donut itself is good but the chocolate sucks, or vice versa. Db3 is far from that type of experience. The Boston Creme was a big ol' fat one with light airy dough, gooey perfect chocolate on top (the day was a tad humid) and not too sweet of custard filling. It may have weighed a pound but didn't but taste like it. The Chocolate Mousse donut was similarly perfect with a delicious, not stodgy (to quote Paul Hollywood from the Great British Baking Show) filing. The are about $3 each but large size and oh so good!

Call ahead and pick up your order.

Inside they also have a record player for some ambiance and good music. Their chai is delicious! It was sweeter than I expected but I like it sweet too. On the spicy to sweet scale of chai, this is definitely on the sweet side, so if that's not your bag you'll want to select something else. The menu overall is small, but the drinks are pleasant. They had several scones and although I skipped those, another woman in the shop was buying a scone wheel to bake at home, so I don't deny they piqued my interest. Their Coco Brew used to be one of my absolute favorite coffee drinks for years, up until recently. I'm not exactly sure when the recipe changed, because as far as I remember it still tasted the same through 2025. I've been busy this year and haven't come as often, but the last three times I ordered it, it was completely different. And since it was made by different baristas, I'm assuming this is a recipe change rather than just inconsistency. (Check the photos to see the differences!) The old version was much lighter, mildly sweet, and had that lovely coconut milk aroma. It tasted fresh, smooth, and really balanced. The new version is totally different. The first thing I noticed was the color. It's way darker now. And the taste matches: darker, more sour, and with a strange almost medicinal aftertaste (reminded of some cough medicine..) The gentle sweetness and mildness are completely gone. Now it somehow tastes strong, sour, and watery at the same time. What happened?? Please don't change something that was already so good. Even the ice seems different now. It used to have smaller ice pieces that filled the cup more evenly and let the liquid move through, so you got that really pretty layered look with the coconut milk and cold brew. Now it's large chunks of ice just floating on top. Anyway, this is just my little heartbreak over a drink that used to be so beautiful and delightful. Other than that, the vibe is still nice as usual, maybe a bit more crowded than before. The decor is still cute, and I've always liked the woody interior. It's also one of the brighter coffee shops in Evanston, with really nice natural light.
