Astonishingly bad. Hands down the worst delivery service ever. The delivery guy refused to try to deliver two full palettes of tiles (weighing almost 2000 lb) closer to the house. He insisted that it must be on the road or not at all. His palette jack was apparently bamboozled by the half inch curb on our drive. He refused to make any other attempt to get his palette jack onto the drive. He refused to try the ramp provided by a neighbor, or reverse the truck onto the drive, claiming neither could not be done without damage to the drive. After an hour of negotiation on the phone with his supervisor (and zero time trying any other approach) they decided he should leave without delivering (which would cause costly delays). When I protested his supervisor advised him to call the police who actually came and wasting another hour and two more people's time. The whole saga involved the delivery guy (Mahinder), two of his seniors on the phone (Oscar and Caesar), 2 police officers and five neighbors volunteering to help take the tiles inside one box at a time. I had 2 other palettes of tiles delivered to the garage with a smile earlier the same day. Each took not more than 3 minutes. and one of them was much larger. That is to say the problem clearly was not my driveway. read more

UPDATE: Thanks to Nikki at Daylight, I was able to change our appointment due to this emergency. I really appreciate her going above and beyond when other reps let me down. I hope she gets a raise for this intensely frustrating experience because we were desperate! // Our partner company called to schedule freight and we were delayed over 5 days because the first 4 reps told me the person accepting the shipment was going to be CALLED to schedule, not they had to call. We are delivering emergency items for a job and their absolutely awful communication caused us to lose thousands. Would not recommend. read more

I have worked in the logitistics industry for the past 5 years. I recently started my own company and we service quite a bit of LTL for our clients. After failing to pick up the freight consecutively for 2 business days, Daylight was informed that due to the recent holiday we can be a little more flexible as I am sure their operations had been slammed. I also informed them that if it was not picked up the next day, I would have to cancel and assign to a different carrier and send a service failure report to our portal provider. This is incredibly reasonable. Daylight then proceeded, without my permission, to assign freight to a different carrier. A carrier that we also do not use due to multiplicity of service failures. Folks, this is legendary stupidity, and a service failure for the history books. This is a practice and company that cannot be trusted. read more

Their drivers block in cars making it impossible to get out of an already tight alleyway. I had been waiting thirty minutes calling the number on the truck only to be redirected twice to leave a message and sent to a dispatcher once where he reached out to the driver only for the driver to show up and say he was on lunch and both parties told me to basically wait for him to be off lunch when he's blocking our entire alleyway and none of the cars can move. So I just sat there waiting for this man to be off lunch, wasted over half an hour of my day. read more

If I could leave a ZERO or negative review I would. This is by far the worst freight shipping company that I have used in 25+ years. They quote a 1-2 day shipping. But in reality it was 5-6days. They are lazy and if they don't want to get your freight onto their truck that day - they wont. They have no sense or urgency. Their online system is full of fabrications. It even said that our freight was delivered yesterday - when it didnt even show up until today. Dont trust them. There is something super shady about how they do business. read more

I am going to be the recipient of a very important package (a bed), and your tracking has been showing all day and half of yesterday (Wednesday), that it would be delivered today.  No such luck.  Your office is saying it will be Tuesday or Wednesday of next week!   I desperately NEED this bed (I tried to pay extra for expedited shipping, but they said we can't do it). Well I called customer service about 7:15pm CST and spoke with Mr. Harvey G.  I just wanted to know where in transit my bed was since the tracking had not updated since 2am., I explained to Mr. Harvey that I had been expecting it all day.  I am bedridden and in so much pain and I desperately need this bed ASAP. Well, Harvey went above and beyond, called the service center in Grand Prairie (I think) and as long as the truck arrives at 5am Friday morning, they will deliver it to me between 9 and 1.  THANK GOD and thank Harvey for going above and beyond to listen and he also had compassion for me and was just so very nice. Never met a more hostile delivery guy. Thought he was going to sock me for asking him to help me lift it up the stairs. These days everything is delivered to your door for free. Great pricing versus other carriers. Expedited delivery is a huge plus as they move freight during the weekend and so a shipment late in the week gets delivered Monday even if it has to go across the country. Disappointing company to work with. They charge for appointments, are rarely delivering on time and triple the price on a reweigh with class change. They have lost loads. I've always had great experiences with our rep at daylight and with the drivers! Super responsive, accommodating and always on time.

First the delivery driver did not have any navigation system to help him find the address. I was on the phone for at least 10 minutes trying to help him find the address. I had to stay on the phone until he found the address. Usually they can use some type of app to help them find the address. Finally he tried to get the workers to pay additional money to him for the delivery! This is was unacceptable. We will not use this Daylight Transport again. read more

Stay away, unethical vultures will rip you off. Shipped a printer from one state to another. Weight and dimensions were correct. MSC. class was wrong. Orginal cost $389 which Daylight Transport profited, no loss. Daylight Transport, after the shipment was completed, re-classed the cargo for a total cost of $869. This was a 2.23% increase. Unethical: If Daylight Profited from the $389, then why is it necessary to back charge a customer for %2.23 more.... other then the fact they can legally get away with this practice. Reached out to Daylight Transport, blood suckers they are indeed. Advice; if you have Freightquote or another booking service, I highly recommend blacklisting Daylight Transport. They will rape you. Daylight Transport practice caused my company to loose money on this transaction. I have blocked Daylight Transport within Freightquotes' system.
