By 10:30 the locals had nearly cleaned them out so you know the local repeat business approves. We were left with the classics - glazed and old time glazed plus their special version of a cinnamon roll - the "pine cone." Light and fluffy ... my entire family gave it a thumbs up. read more

Wonderful customer service but as far as the cinnamon rolls from the last three visits all I can say is sad ,sad sad, over fried, lacking soft or fluffiness, extremely flat could have used this as a frisbee or shuffleboard disk. read more

I've had Daylight Donuts a few more times. Donuts have been far better than the first time I went. That time my donuts were undercooked, yeasty, and flavorless. It must have been a bad batch or new baker or bad time of the day. Plenty of locals keep telling me you have to go really early for the good ones. Still, I'd prefer consistency any time of the day. Average donut experience overall. I stick to Regular Glazed and other traditional donuts. I have not been impressed with the novelty flavors, particularly the boozy ones. It is still so cool that they try out creative flavors. I look forward to trying the kids cereal donuts. I did notice that the proprietor reacts badly to negative reviews on their Facebook page. I'm talking about long, defensive rants. This has scared me away from writing about this establishment but I want to add the 2 more stars because sticking to my first, one-star review would be unfair when the donuts were better on subsequent tries. read more

We love going to daylight donuts (when we get there early enough)! The service is always great, the girls working are always so sweet. The donuts are super popular so don't be surprised if they are out of what you want or are closed earlier than the day before. The cake donut with cherry on top is my new favorite, along with the pine cone :) read more

Donuts are alright. Of course I've had better but you take what you can get. My only problem is they run out of donuts all the time. You have to get there SUPER EARLY just to get a decent selection. If you have a sweet tooth--especially for donuts, which I do-- then this place is as good as any to meet your cravings. The donuts themselves aren't anything remarkable but they are better than your typical grocery store selection, and fresher. If you order a dozen, be aware that the larger ones (aka the cinnamon wheels and apple fritters) cost more. Our server waited until ringing us up before telling us, which was a little frustrating but we worked it out. Overall, I'm not a fanatic but I will never turn down a decent donut... unless it fell on the ground... and has been stepped on with a muddy shoe. read more

The donuts at Daylight are pretty solid. They are neither the best nor the worst I have ever had. I love the "pine cone" donuts and they have all the standard flavors. The one downside is that if you go too late in the morning on the weekends they are out of donuts. The service is always good and fast. My one tip GO early or you won't get any donuts. read more

The donuts are good because it is the only donut shop besides walmart and albetrsons but the selection even first thing in the morning isn't great. I have heard the excuses like the owner doesn't need money, they only make a certain amount but in my book quality is key and this place has low quality of standards. If you only sell one thing donuts they better be good! The staff is nice though so they deserve the stars not the donuts... Who would know if they had good donuts because they didn't have any except donut holes and it's a little hard to judge on that, although they weren't bad. It was late Sunday morning when we went there and they had donut holes and sausage rolls left. The girl at the counter says it is really common for them to run out and they weren't making any more. They were open for another 12 hours and when my husband asked what they are going to do when they run out of donut holes the girl said "We have lots of sausage rolls". Unbelievable! read more

The donuts are okay but I have had much better and I've had much worse. However, if you want anything after mid morning, you are going to be out of luck. No one smiles that's for sure, I would rather just go to albertsons and get my donuts there. They are never opened past 11:30 in the morning and they are the only ones in Clovis, so until another place opens, we poor citizens of Clovis have little choice. I don't really recommend them but they aren't awful if they are ever open. read more

I had a very poor experience with this place. My wife and I went to pick up donuts for breakfast. We got there around 0715. When we entered the establishment 1. no one greeted us even though there were 3 workers behind the counter. 2. We then waited for 15 mins without being recognized or spoken to while one worker served those who entered the store and the other 2 were doing something else, not helping customers in line. 3. Once we finally got to the counter, the person who served us seemed grumpy and unhappy, and dragged her heels in getting our order. 4. This place needs to learn some customer service and serve their customers who physically enter the store with priority. We finally left the store at 0735. I do not recommend this place to anyone and will not return for a second visit. If you are a person who desires customer service don't come here because you're not going to get it. The management needs to train its employees to work with professionalism and efficiency. read more

I have gone multiple times from 8am-12pm and they had a very small selection and once sold out. You should haven't to go right when they open to have a full selection. I may be biased because I'm used to 24hour doughnut shops in California. read more

So I've been here for two yrs almost and have frequented Daylight often due to them being the only shop in town until the other place opened up. Here is my honest assessment: I have always had service with a smile, the coffee has been quite good(Community Coffee can't beat it), but the donuts have been extremely hit and miss . I believe there are two magic hour times to get donuts there, right after the first batch is ready (obviously), but then the magic question is what time does the next big batch get made?? Sadly it's hit or miss if you'll get a good donut or a brick at this time of the day. The other donut shop caddy-corner to them is bout the same. So kudos for service and 3 's for hit/miss donuts. read more
