We ordered some pastries and coffee. We loved them so much we got some more to go so we can enjoy later in the day in our hotel. Absolutely among best home made fresh bakery items I have had. Service was friendly even though I had to say three different times I wanted an iced latte. Lol. My iced vanilla latte ($5.75) was good. I needed to stir it quite often to maintain a consistent taste, though. A bakery called Goodies Go Last also shares space with this little shop. All items are charged on one ticket. They also had an array of souvenirs. Cash or plastic was accepted. Plenty of parking.

Would highly recommend!

Still has its traditional roadside interior, heavy wooden, kitschy, tourist destination vibe. We were greeted walking in and seated promptly. The hostess brought menus with her. A varied menu with a little bit of everything on it for all kinds of taste buds. After giving the menu a good look, I opted for their Chili Relenos with Hatch chilis. A nice serving with a pair of well prepared chilis, rice and beans with some diced tomato and lettuce. It was a good meal, the rellenos were done well, nice cheese stuffed, breaded and fried near perfect. All in all a good meal 4 Stars a solid choice in a town with limited options 01321

She was so chipper and welcoming! Just sweet as could be. First off the chips and salsa. I mean other worldly! How did they get them so thin and crispy. The salsa a perfect spice not too much. Fresh! Ordered the combination plate. Again was expecting over the top spice since I am in NM. The green sauce was medium spicy, almost not spicy enough for me, not very thick you could taste the broth. The red was good too! Barbacoa very flavorful. Beans and rice like my tia used to make! I am a stickler for grefried beans! Authentic! Plenty of food! Basic tables, the mural on the wall just adds to the authenticity of the food! Plus the locals come so you know it is good.

We were unfortunately correct. The food was edible and not good because it had zero flavor. The guac was gross and we couldn't eat it-I think it was mixed with mayo or something? I ordered the smothered burrito with chicken and it tasted like canned cream of mushroom soup with chicken. The flour tortilla was soggy and the green sauce had zero flavor. Very disappointing as most Mexican restaurants in NM are decent. Other family members had similar thoughts and didn't finish their meals.
