The bar itself is small, but clean. Best part about the place was the bartender. She was friendly and attentive. Food was ok. We had some fried pickles and mozzarella sticks... typical bar food. This was a convenient stop while staying over in Clovis. Do not let the name confuse you as this is not a local brewery. However, they do procure NM beers and have some really good selections. The waitress was super friendly and attentive. The Gree Chile burger was very good. If you're in Clovis, it certainly worth the stop. This brewery is in an old bowling alley - the bowling alley is still active. The food was just okay...server was sweet. Beer was decent.

First off, the mural in the front of the building is super cool. The menu is simple but has the basics like burgers and wings. Surprisingly, the wings were nice and crispy, the burgers were juicy, the green Chile was hot, the ranch was awesome, and the beer (of course) was nice and refreshing. The service we received was great. We had the combo appetizer with cheese curds, pretzel with cheese, and dirty fries. The pretzel with beer cheese and curds were delicious. While the dirty fries were good, I thought the fries themselves were lacking. My wife had the Cobb salad with pork and I had the green Chile cheeseburger. I thought both were really good. The homemade ranch was delicious. I also had a Caramel Apple cocktail and it was really good. The bartender even gave it to me on the house since it was my birthday. read more

Delightful wait staff! The Russian Imperial Stout was delicious. Being super hungry after working through lunch I ordered the Almost Texas Burger that included brisket and slaw with a side of onion rings. This is a re-review on one deleted based off of the owners unprofessionalism in his public response by exploiting my personal information to discredit my groups dine-in experience. This review reflects my experience in the poor customer service but the owners unprofessional manner as well. As a recurring customer of Red Door I go for the fun beer and food. Although what is also recurrent is the poor quality service and occasional rudeness for some of the staff. The ones that aren't rude, I don't see as often unfortunately. During this particular experience. 1) One of our orders was forgotten, 2) a drink wasn't made right, 3) was misinformed by their staff of closing time, 4) was not told of last call and they shut the doors on us 5) while we were bowling with a card still open and 6) was waiting on our growler. When we addressed the missing food and the drink mess up it was responded to in an unresolved challenging manner by telling us we were the ones mistaken, instead of simply fixing it. We did get our missing food after needless convincing, but we had to finish our wrong drink, and order a new one. Where the new one was right and we still paid for both. Then according to the owners previous response on the growler, he stated they could have possibly been holding it for us in the freezer. Which is very nice, but would have been nice to know if we were informed in first place. The error of operating hours, missing growler, and open credit card could have been avoided if the staff was as attentive to us as the one other party in the building that night. Instead it was responded by the owner with discrediting me, saying I was told the wrong time by my friend, and his remark of " I would recommend writing them a bad review on their personal page." My desire for the review was to make the poor customer service known so it could be resolved. But instead it was responded with the same, if not more, unprofessional rudeness by the business owner. read more

Found this little gem in Clovis. We were looking for a quick bite & came across this on Yelp. Didn't order any beer but did enjoy a burger & their onion rings, fried pickles & fried cheese curds with their homemade ranch dressing. Friendly wait staff topped it off. I've gone back a few times and they did an awesome Big Lebowski paint job on the outside. Much easier to spot while driving. In addition, I noticed the service was nicer and faster than my first visit. I'm glad that management was willing to communicate about improving these things an that they followed through and worked out the kinks in their system. They seem to be experimenting with their menu and always have new drinks to try on tap. It's starting to remind me of upscale gastropubs I've been to. Spoiled by living in Europe for a few years and disappointed in food and drink after my return to the states, I'm happy to say that I learned to love beer again thanks to RDB. I now take all visitors from out of town here and we all have great beer, great food, and a great time bowling. read more

This place is great and the atmosphere is really nice and aesthetically pleasing. Clovis needed a brewery and they got a damn good one. They are consistently having new beers on tap and you can sample any beer for free! Also, their beer club is a great deal. At $25 a year you get a beer glass, a growler(both with logo), and $1 off every pour. So it pays for it's self instantly. The food is good, all I've had so far is the green Chile cheese burger and fries. Only downside is the baskets are small so you only get a few fries. The beer is pricey, but that's standard with craft beer. I just dislike how when a beer has 7% ABV they upcharge to $7.50 a pint, which is extremely expensive. Lastly, THEY DONT HAVE COASTERS! Red door brewing doesn't disappoint in the beer department, sit down and enjoy a brew. The brewery is located inside of the bowling alley and parking is easy to find. With some growth this place can be a standalone restaurant/brewery. Decor is simple and modern. It definitely stands out from the local Clovis scene. It's a huge contrast between the aged bowling alley and the industrial brewery. Decor is nice and cool. We came here before the official opening so kinks were expected. The food here is decent, it's not going to blow your mind but it's comforting. I imagine with some time and further refinement this place will grow. We got the majority of apps and had a wide range of the beers. Starting off with the cheese curds, they are simple with a crisp outside and cheesy inside and could be improved with some marinara. The spicy chicken tenders were your regular boneless tenders. The dirty fries are a good mixture of green Chile's and onions with crunchy fries. The inside was soft a quality of a good fry. Onion rings are good with a nice crunch. The batter could be made better with a beer batter and the inclusion of ranch. Lastly I got the red door burger with fontina cheese and nice caramelized onions. A decent burger but again not gonna blow you away. Cooking to a medium rare would make it better the brioche bun was good. Where this place shines are the beers. The saving grace with hops and grain of red door brewing. We tried a wide variety from wheats, IPAs and stouts. Everything tasted great. The serving sizes here vary by alcoholic content. Good way to enjoy a little bit of everything without going overboard. Service was quick and friendly. I imagine with time it will get even faster. Overall this place is good, they have the basics and their beer shines. What can bring them up is refining their basics and making it pop. People eat with their eyes first and the food doesn't feed the eyes the way it should, also the apps seemed like they were missing additional sauces or sides to bring it up a further notch. I'm hoping that with time this place will inspire other new business to come to town and bring up the culinary scene. Well came here a few weeks back wanted to have a good beer with a burger, well beer was good but the burger wasn't. Had seen all the reviews in how good the burgers were so decided to try one. We were a party of 4 and 3 of us ordered a burger in which they asked how we wanted them cooked and we said medium. Well medium to me has a pink center and is juicy, this burger was neither if those. This burger had one side extremely charred as if the the cook said " oh shoot the burgers" and so this led to a dry and burnt tasting burger. Only good thing that day was the fried pickles cause the fries were even cold. The 4th person ordered the avocado BLT and i don't wanna even get into the soggy bacon. Indoor seating was full so they opened the patio, plugged in the lights, and brought out a heater just for us. Staff was attentive and very nice and everything tasted great. Came out of town on the way to Colorado from Texas. We stopped to eat here for a quick bite and a few drinks. Who ever the bartender or server we had at first was not about serving us. She acted like she was busier than she really was. We ordered some wings. They shorty came out less than ten minutes later and they were undercooked and spoiled. The smell they had literally made my boyfriend sick. We were so afraid to eat them. We told the bartender that they were undercooked to where she "ordered" more for us when we were just disgusted at the point to where we didn't want anything else to eat. The Mac and cheese also came out cold. Not even melted cheese. The server never came back to us or even said anything, to where she just transferred us over to the new bartender on shift so she didn't have to deal with us. It's so sad. We are both in the service industry, we understand you have nothing to do with how the food is cooked. But we do understand how you ignored and just left your problem with someone else to pick up. Stopped here on our way home to Lubbock from a vacation and were pleasantly surprised by this place! As long time foodies and home brewers we thought the beer was excellent and the food was great. Perfect bar food. Our food was fast and our waitress (really wish we had gotten her name) was incredibly nice. Don't be scared by the exterior that resembles an old strip club, the inside is very clean and nice. We took our kids and dog inside. We recommend the loaded fries, triple B, and onion rings. We were polite when we sat down, not sure why she treated us that way, we always engage and appreciate wait staff, but she was quite friendly with others she seemed to know.
