They have a lidded basket for your belongings and it's taken to your next room with you. I relaxed in one of the pedicure chairs drinking cucumber water while I waited for my facial. Rooms were changed out quickly and the aesthetician took me into her room. She did a great job, however was a little heavy handed a couple times and really spoke too quickly in the beginning, coming across as extremely rushed. As a medical aesthetician myself, it seemed a bit odd, since it didn't come across as calming, which is generally a goal. I kept my credentials to myself, because I personally like to see how services are provided and preformed when they don't know. When all was said and done, I was quite relaxed and we were both very happy with the experience overall. So much more than the local spa we went to last year... to the point that my friend didn't even remember where we went. I guess you know it's less than mediocre when you've blocked it from your memory. As I sat in the entry putting on my shoes, we wondered what they do with the slippers, hoping they're not put on the rack for someone else to wear... moments later a gal comes out with antibacterial wipes, wipes them clean and puts them away. $90.00 / 2 hrs / Painful Experience / Poor Quality…read more Just moved into Anchorage from out of state. I requested a removal and a full set of French tips. I can't speak for the quality of every nail technician but this nail set in the picture was horrible compared to the 4 week old gel-x set that I had before this. When "Christine" was applying the extensions, I know I should have just completely stopped her there immediately. She was placing them crooked and unaligned from the beginning. The craziest part was when she was struggling to form a French tip with the dip powder and said, "It's hard because it's dirty." She went on to explain that the reason she was struggling was because the person who used the powder before her DIDN'T CLEAN IT PROPERLY. Now I'm just thinking about an infection because she cut me twice. I felt the first cut on the table and found the second one later in the night. My bleeding stopped very quick but it's was still very painful and uncomfortable on my cuticle. She ended up apologizing a lot for the 2 full hours she had me there, gave up on the dip powder and ended up just painting the French tip on in the end. This technician also tried to form an apex with the gel top coat which resulted in a very blobby form. It was $90 dollars. She knew she did a terrible job and she knew she kept me too long. Two other girls around said to just call if you need help. Again, I can't speak for all their employees I've heard that the "owner" and "May" give very great service, but I don't know if I'm truly ever coming back here.
