The fact that he is able to accommodate a reservation for within the next hour is very helpful for people with unpredictable schedules or need flexibility. Jerry uses a combination different styles of massage from trigger point, hot stones, swedish, etc. If you're committed to just one style of massage, this may not be the best place, however I have no doubt that if a customer requested a particular style, Jerry would be happy to accommodate. Best massage I've had in Alaska. Went in for a last minute one hour deep tissue massage. Deep tissue here actually means deep tissue. Practitioner took the time to understand what I wanted and adjust pressure to softer or harder as I needed it. Took out hot stones to warm up and soften major muscle groups. I spent three weeks on a mountain which left me tight in some spots and lumpy in others. This place was well worth the money. I feel fantastic. Will come back. Will refer friends. This isn't just a soft Swedish rub down (which is also offered for people interested in relaxation, but a good digging by a strong therapist. read more

I went to visit Jerry to get my concerns worked on, and he did a great job at making sure that my there was a focus on my lower back (which I had asked for), and he also found some heavy tension under my shoulder blades which he worked out nicely. He also used the hot stones to help release some of the toxins from my body, and helped me to feel more relaxed by the end of my 90 min massage. I would definitely see Mr. blue again for a more in-depth massage focusing again on my pain points. He is an all around nice guy, and I felt very comfortable with the environment as well. Pros: Great price, easy to use website, nice space, massage focused on areas I pointed out as "trouble spots" Cons: Hard to find and not clear once you do find it that it's the correct spot because nobody was there when I walked in about 10 mins early (assuming there would be some sort of paperwork, which there wasn't). I stuck around and about 7 minutes later Jerry walked out and told me his last client was just finishing up and offered me water. Understandable, I thought "nice of him to be understanding when someone ran late." Not the case. Turns out MY massage was cut 15 minutes short because he ran late. Massage focused on the areas but definitely not trigger point as advertised and I still have a knot in my back. Overall: If you just want to relax and are on a budget not bad, but if you want work on problem areas with massage and are looking for a professional experience I'd go else (I will next time). read more

One of the best massages you can get worldwide! I have had massages all over the world, and Jerry is by far one of the best. I wanted to make sure it wasn't just me, so I sent two other friends to check out his technique as well. Everyone has had a great experience. I love that you can schedule online, with as little as an hour notice, which works great for me since my schedule is always unpredictable. I don't usually spring for the hot stones, but Jerry uses synergy stones which hold their heat longer and can be used to actually provide some deep tissue therapy. I'm definitely a regular now. I came in walking slowly with a cane, I walked out twirling that cane, not needing it. Blue has been the only massage therapist that has consistently kept me out of pain for an entire week. Unfortunately, TruBlue has stopped taking appointments since May, and I have not heard from them other than their license expired. I asked for an update, compensation or refund, to no avail. I've been going to spas for quite some years, in Anchorage, and dare I say the continent... Nowhere have I found any massage therapist to rid my body of physical ailments. The way he massages isnt like any other massage therapist, he doesnt 'treat you like a board' he works with your body. I had a 120 minute massage, and it did not take the full session to notice that my back, predominantly what felt like my lower back with radiating pain up my spine, was relieved. I have a healing leg that limits my mobility, and causes stress to my back, and I will proudly say that I am able to walk and sit comfortably without any discomfort. Also I didnt feel unwelcomed which is very important, because most of these spas work like machines where you feel treated like a pass time. Blue worked out every square inch of my back, neck and shoulders with precision and care. He was even able to break up scar tissue in my shoulder from a surgery I had over 10yrs ago... Waited half an hour after appointment was scheduled to begin at their location, left a note requesting a refund... Jerry called and was very apologetic and offered a free massage. That sure makes you feel better after getting stood up. So about 10 days later I was looking forward to a massage and I, again received 2 separate confirmations. TrueBlue has a $25 charge for no showing an appointment. I showed up and waited......and waited... Yep, they DID IT AGAIN! Had to laugh at how ridiculous this was, and left feeling like a idiot for allowing them to waste more of my time on Earth that Ill never get back. NOW, for the best part......my Mother was getting irritated because this was suppose to be a birthday present intended to relax and cause pleasure. Not the gift of getting stood up TWICE, and making any reasonable person irritated and pissed off. She called to see what happened on round 2. The owner told her that she entered my cell number into their online booking wrong, he even sent a screenshot of my cell number. Sure enough, it was entered wrong. My Mom and I are not claiming to be detectives, BUT the confirmations were sent to the correct cell number. I doubt if anyone will have to worry about these guys working for the CIA in case this business fails. This is the last 8 minutes you'll get of my life.
