I've seen more than one massage therapist here and they all do an excellent job. You fill out an intake form before your first appointment so your massage can be tailored to fit your needs. And unlike other places I've visited, you actually get the full amount of time for which you pay. Other massage therapists I've seen wouldn't go for the full hour of my appointment but these ones do. Besides the massage quality, what stands out to me is the atmosphere of the place. The lobby is very calming with a water fountain and essential oils and other things for sale. The private massage rooms are just as nice. Soft lighting, pleasant music, and plenty of space around the massage table so you don't feel cramped. If you're a frequent visitor they have "memberships" that allow you to purchase multiple massages, and you can divide the payments. I would do that if I wasn't paying back hundreds in student loans every month. So for now this is a once a month "treat yo'self" kinda thing for me.

The therapist asked if I liked medium or hard pressure so I told her my preference. She did a great job with where I need it to be hard vs medium. Warning - at some point the therapist is likely to get on the bed to grab the bars on the ceiling to massage you with their leg/feet! This isn't unheard of in Asian massages but more novel for Western massage. Barefoot massage has broken that barrier for Alaska I think - and let me tell you it feels good, especially if you need that additional pressure. Surprisingly, only minor soreness after given the pressure she used. They take credit card too!
