Her massage is so good my wife and myself have standing appointments every 2 weeks to make sure we can get our fix! I get a relaxing massage that knocks me out and my wife more of a corrective massage. I think the massage is so good because her technique is very unique, she told me it's called "Mel-ssage" lol! Mel has a mobile massage and a nice office in one of the RSD medical buildings on Lake Otis. They came in yelling and screaming at one of the front desk people while my massage was happening. From intake to throughout her massage sessions she is constantly seeking her client's feedback and finding ways to improve the experience. I've received a lot of massages over the years, and I've never had such a relaxing experience and felt so in tune and grounded with a person. My schedule is fairly demanding and Caryl is also willing to work with me fairly short notice to get me in. Upon his suggestion I've been searching for therapists that prioritize continuing education, have solid schooling and can perform myofascial massages. This is what lead me to Myo Alaska. Booking my appointment was very easy and I was able to do intake paperwork online before my appointment. The location of the massage is inside of a dermatology office off of Dimond. Parking was easy and the location was simple to find. The massage therapist Ann is very nice and she checks in with you throughout the massage to gauge pressure which was nice. Ann was able to find all of my tight spots and relieved a migraine that had been plaguing me for a couple of days. The office that the massage takes place in can be rather loud at times, which is my main complaint for Myo Alaska. There was someone down the haul receiving a treatment where they kept saying "Ow" which was somewhat unsettling.

I'm a total massage novice, so wasn't sure what to expect. He was very professional in his demeanor and made me feel quite comfortable. I did not feel ANY awkwardness of receiving an intimate experience with a man other than my husband. He evaluated my health history and asked what area I'd like for him to focus on. As an avid (rabid) soccer fan (go Team USA!) I asked if he give me a good foot massage. Well, bless his little heart, not only did he give me a great foot massage, but worked me from the glutes down! FAB-u-LOUS! He used therapeutic oils, hot rocks, tuning forks, and deep tissue massage to make it a very beneficial experience. Can't wait to see how my legs feel tomorrow! I hear my insurance might cover massage therapy--would love to get this on a regular basis.
