Firstly, He is NOT located at the Abbott Loop tanning salon and when I spoke to Tanasy the day of my appointment they informed me he hasn't worked out of that location in MONTHS, they barely remember the masseuse I was talking about. He is working out of his apartment front room that has been converted into his studio. Thing is, the location is sketch and the exterior of the building is even worse. Boarded up windows, I didn't even feel comfortable enough walking in. Let alone, taking any article of clothing off for a professional deep tissue massage. I bought this on groupon, I should have done more homework about who this person was and maybe found out that he actually was working out of the salon before I purchase (who thought you would need to go to those lengths to fact check). In general, it was very hard to get him to call/text me back to schedule an appointment in the first place and then after the appointment was scheduled, I was told that he had moved to another location, which was fine. I thought maybe it could of been a downtown residential converted to commercial, but I'm not comfortable walking into a strangers home, I don't care how professional, when the exterior of the building looks like the condition in which this one did. 736 E 3rd Ave. That's where you'll be getting your massage if you purchased a Groupon or scheduled an appointment. So, his website, the information provided on groupon, and the information provided on yelp are all false. Just an FYI for anyone out there. I saw that he received stellar reviews from last year, which is why I purchases the groupon in the first place. Save your money, go to a reputable location where you feel comfortable and safe. I might be more understanding if this wasn't the first experience, but at the end of the day, he is providing false information and this was not what I purchased and I will not be doing business with North Star Chiropractic in the future. Had my first massage done with North Star Touch today. I like to get a massage at least once a month and it is great to find a place in Eagle River that I like. Located inside Vibe hair salon, it is very clean, quite and comfortable. LA was very professional and listened to me about my trouble spots. Nice strong massage that worked out the kinks. The essential oil was wonderful. He gave me some good information about things to try at home. I will be recommending him to my friends. If you want a great massage with someone who enjoys what they do, this is the place to go. read more

Amazing doesn't even begin to describe L.A. as a therapist. By far the best massage I have ever had in my life! His pressure and technique is specific to fit what your body needs, and the results are long lasting well after the massage! He is also Aroma Touch certified, and after my deep tissue massage he added that in at the end, and you have to do this! In short...his demeanor was very unprofessional and left me feeling very disappointed. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Full Review: I don't know if it was just me that he chose to treat this way, or perhaps it was because I purchased a discount package for two massages, but I paid that price to find out his level of business professionalism he displayed in his disposition and I was very disappointed...I ended up not getting any massages and choosing not to do business with him beyond that. Before purchasing the package I viewed the website and other reviews such as the one left here, which left me hopeful. From the first conversation, I got the strong impression that he was very unenthusiastic when speaking to me, and I felt like I did not get treated with any customer value at all. At first, I thought perhaps I was just misunderstanding the impression I got. I felt like he was looking to discredit my character at the first opportunity and I did not receive proper communication as to his policy on time slots, even though I had disclosed that I was out of town and he knew I was a first time customer. I was completely willing to accept responsibility, though I found myself feeling like I was having to defend my character and argue with him about what I had clearly communicated. He said one thing and did another. I would not have been as frustrated had he treated me with a little more courtesy in his manner. He came off very presumptuous and argumentative and I felt as though the little business courtesy he might have been extending (I did not wait to confirm absolutely and he was once again unclear) was done so with great burden as though it was entirely on account of me. I was supposed to be reducing my stress and each conversation left me feeling increasingly stressed with less confidence that I could trust his attitude would not leak into his service, let alone that I could relax, which defeated the value of the massage. The only time I felt like he had actually spoken to me with any courtesy was only at the end of our last conversation (cutting ties and paying for the first situation), when he said , "Have a good day.". Perhaps he is good at the labor of his job, but not the business relations at all,. I had a very positive experience at North Star Touch. L.A. was very attentive and demonstrated concern about my areas of discomfort. He did an amazing job with the massage, I couldn't have asked for any better. He gave 100% effort and truly wanted to make sure I was above and beyond satisfied. The place is cozy and comfortable setting. Though the salon is kind of spacious, the noise from the hairstylists and other people that work there is unheard. The oils he uses smell wonderful and he's very professional. This is a place i'll definitely be spreading the word about. read more
