The location across from the hotel was not relaxing at all. The scalp/hair service was done with me sitting on a floor stool, in the middle of the room, no privacy. The washer and dryer were going and I watched staff do laundry. While trying to relax, all I could hear was staff doing chores and the toilet flushing. They gave me my money back, which was great. One of my dearest friends came into town from out of state and after looking up some new spa options for us, we decided on Adagio. We booked a couple weeks in advance and ended up going on Sunday, rather than Saturday, like we wanted. Oddly enough, they're closed on Saturday. We arrived early for our appointments and were quickly greeted, given forms and asked to use slippers. Within a few minutes, I was taken in for my massage and my friend to her facial. The rooms are lovely, and the spa itself is quite small. Fully functional and they're making great use of the space, but definitely small. My massage was awesome... deep tissue, which is my preference! She worked some magic indeed! When doing more than one treatment, you change into a robe. They have a lidded basket for your belongings and it's taken to your next room with you. I relaxed in one of the pedicure chairs drinking cucumber water while I waited for my facial. Rooms were changed out quickly and the aesthetician took me into her room. She did a great job, however was a little heavy handed a couple times and really spoke too quickly in the beginning, coming across as extremely rushed. As a medical aesthetician myself, it seemed a bit odd, since it didn't come across as calming, which is generally a goal. I kept my credentials to myself, because I personally like to see how services are provided and preformed when they don't know. When all was said and done, I was quite relaxed and we were both very happy with the experience overall. So much more than the local spa we went to last year... to the point that my friend didn't even remember where we went. I guess you know it's less than mediocre when you've blocked it from your memory. As I sat in the entry putting on my shoes, we wondered what they do with the slippers, hoping they're not put on the rack for someone else to wear... moments later a gal comes out with antibacterial wipes, wipes them clean and puts them away. I got my 1st micro-needling session from the owner Sohyun and it was absolutely amazing! The service was top notch with an after cooling mask and scalp massage that was heavenly. I healed so well I decided to come back for the 2nd session of micro- needling and she added in a 10 minute session of red light therapy after to assist with the healing process and I do feel like it helped! The spa carries Aveda products that are vegan and cruelty free. I just love everything about this place and highly recommend it. read more

It's been a little over two years since I had been in a spa or had a massage and I happened to have a very rare day off after starting a new job and REALLY wanted a massage. I cruised YELP for places with good reviews and stumbled across Adagio, I called them up and they did not have any spots open for the same day (which is totally understandable) but she took my number in case there was an opening. I received a text not long after saying they had a three PM open so I jumped on the opportunity. I was warmly greeted when I arrived and everyone was masked and I felt very safe. My massage was absolutely amazing, my masseuse Lisa asked what I was wanting and was very receptive to feedback. I booked another appointment right away which they ended up having to cancel the day before because the masseuse was not feeling well. I'm happy they canceled for everyone's well being, they seem to take safety very seriously which I greatly appreciate. I look forward to going back when I have a chance. read more

I spent a relaxing morning at the spa. The staff are friendly and helpful. The massage and skin treatments are wonderful. I highly recommend and will return myself. As a side note- my brother bought my mom a gift card to this spa a couple years ago. Shortly after, he found out he had terminal cancer. It was a terrible year and by the time she got around to it, the gift certificate had expired. The manager honored it anyway and it was a beautiful last gift to her. The service is relaxing and the atmosphere is very pleasant. They welcome you with a warm wrap for your neck which is so nice on a cold day. I've lived in Anchorage for three years. Having moved from Sydney, Australia where there are literally thousands of day spas/ massages and pedicure establishments, Adagio is my favourite! Firstly the staff are very sweet and accomodating.. greeted with lovely teas and lemon water is a nice touch. The atmosphere is tranquil and relaxing, and the services are varied in choices. This last time I had a wonderful massage with Bren and the best pedicure experience of my life with Joyce! Soaking my tired feet in warm coconut milk followed by leg and foot scrubs and massage finished up with an excellent pedi set me up for a fabulous day and reinvigorated week! Well, I need a break from home life and decided to go up to Anchorage for peace and quiet. Booked massage and pedi appts at Adagio. When I called for appt to found out it's been changed ownership and several years ago it was owned by Anastasia. I thought what the heck I liked it and I will try it. It's still pretty much same set as before and it was soothing and peaceful. I had 30 mins soft pack (zero gravity) warm bed. Then 90 mins massage with Will. I will have to say I've had many years of massages and this was a total different method of deep massage and I was so pleased with Wills skillful deep tissue massage and helped me relieved my pain, ache and stressed out body. I wish I had booked a longer session. I then got my gel pedi. She used the OPI gel on my toes. Overall experience here is fantastic I will return again for the positive experience and peaceful quiet time at Adagio. Thanks to Will especially. read more

I was able to get in right away, they responded to my email quickly and promptly. The girls were so nice and welcoming! The facial was amazing! I was ecstatic when I read that Adagio uses Eminence products. I absolutely love the quality of Eminence. The spa was very relaxing and soothing. The esthetician did a great job on my facial. She was very nice, and explained some things about my skin and recommended products that would work for my skin concerns. My skin felt so hydrated and was GLOWING all day long after my facial. I also appreciated how they validate your parking in the parking garage around the back of the spa. I will most definitely be coming back to Adagio and can't wait! read more

This was one of the best spa days I've had ever. I did the Luxe package with massage, pedicure, and facial. The massage was luxurious. The masseuse was well trained and sensitive to my body. She also focused on more than muscles, working my tendons and skeleton. The pedicure was perfect. Clean, easy going, and I got tea and chocolate. The facial was literally the best I've had. I get about one a year and she was so gentle, sensitive to my skin's needs, and clear about what she was doing. She also had a ton of tips for my acne. I need to shoutout the front desk who was also so kind and helpful. Overall everyone should go to this spa and tip these ladies well. Cause it's worth your time and money. I had a wonderful experience here at Adagio. I reserved their special spa package which included a massage, facial and pedicure for $195. It lasted 2.5 hours so not a bad deal at all! My massage was amazing. The woman who massaged every sore out of me really know what she was doing. She also did a quick 40 minute facial that cleansed my skin. The products used smelled divine and fresh. My pedicure was done by a lovely nail technician who took her time to clean and polish my toes to perfection. Adagio has a large color selection as well!
