Ali the owner and his talented staff always make the experience great no matter how busy the restaurant is. I came here with very good friends of mine that I knew loved Turkish food. We came here on Saturday night and when I arrived the restaurant was packed. Despite that we never felt rushed, they were well staffed and worked together as a well oiled machine to make the experience flawless. The weather was perfect so we sat outside, there is ample parking either in their parking lot or across the street. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with hand blown glass chandeliers from Turkey. For the sake of brevity I'm going to list all the dishes we had. Each one had its own unique flavor down to the Lavos Hollow bread with its slightly buttery flavor. You have to try each one. Prices are very fair and portions are great. We had the eggplant with tomato sauce, Turkish Ezme, Calves liver cubes, a large Shepherd salad, for appetizers. For entrees we had two of the Bronzino, the Shrimp Shish, and the Lamb Shish. For desert we had the Chocolate Baklava, the Kunefe, the Turkish coffee, and a of the Apple tea. Ali made a couple of special dishes including an eggplant dish and home made hot Halvah for desert. It's amazing how small the world really is. My friends thought they knew the owner Ali but could not pinpoint from where. After talking for a while they realized they knew him from when he worked at another Turkish restaurant in Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn called Liman. It has since moved to Coney Island. Ali opened Bosporus Cafe Grill in Port Washington in 2014 and I'm am glad he took the risk to go out on his own. His business partner is the chef and is also a butcher. They've combined their talents to provide one of the best restaurants experiences you will ever have. I've been coming here for several years and it never gets old. I highly recommend them for great food, service and atmosphere. There's a lot to see in Port Washington and you can take a stroll by the water afterwards.

A small group of us went and indulged in the following: Cocktails: Negroni, Shikanji Vodka Sour, and Don's Espresso Martini (I asked for it less sweet, and they obliged). All were 10/10 excellent. Note: Expect NYC pricing, especially with the Hendrick's Gin upcharge. Palak Patta - Lightly fried, with a tamarind sauce, yogurt on the side (by request) and honestly very enjoyable to eat. Crunchy, light, perfect. Lamb Shank Rogan Josh - One big ole shank with an excellent sauce primed for naan scooping. The meat was fall of the bone tender. Relive your medieval times/ren faire dreams and chew off the bone when you're done. The Chicken Dum Biryani - Arrived with small, tender chicken pieces tucked into fragrant, flavor packed rice, all sealed under a fun dough cap. It tasted as expected. Very good! But I will admit, I prefer a friend's homemade version a little better. The jackfruit version looked interesting for a future meal. Tiger Prawns - Absolutely massive and delicious! You'll only get 4 for $35. Smoked Kadhai Chicken - Waiter did not ask about spice preference, and this one came out hot as lava. Minimal smokey flavor. I mean, if it was smokey, my mouth was like a 5 alarm fire so I wouldn't have tasted it anyway. Sauce was thick, full of chilis and peppers. if you like bell peppers, this is a dish for you. Also good for naan scooping! Saffon Pistachio Kulfi - Looked pretty in pink but straight up, not a dish for me. Didn't like the texture and it was simultaneously bland and sweet. I thought the pistachio would be more prevalent. Pass! Interior was beautiful, and visually fun. Loved all the peacocks, and soothing green tones around. Friends who have been before remarked about the service, which we had no issue with. While our waiter seemed young, and maybe new-er to the restaurant (based on our questions), he was attentive and quick to swap plates, answer questions and politely laugh at our bad jokes. Bartenders were also friendly and receptive. Protips: 1) Valet parking and this spot is RIGHT after the gas station. You'll miss it if you're not paying attention. I ended up parking on the street down the block, for a little added exercise, but do watch the signs. 2) While the interior is NYC-cocktail-bar-chic, you don't necessarily need to be donning full cocktail bar attire. Smart casual, business casual, perhaps a cute little dress if you're on a date! Overall, prices are on the high side, at least for a cuisine many consider "cheap". However, there are so, so many more dishes on the menu that I wanted to sink my teeth into, so I will be back. 4.5/5 rounded up for 5 stars.

The second time around we came for my mom's bday and Father's Day yesterday and everything was delicious. I do wish the butter chicken had more pieces of chicken. My favorite item was the Paneer and desserts as always. The Smoky Delhi, Espresso Martini and the Bellini drinks were so good as well. My parents can be quite picky and really enjoyed the goat biryani and said it was the perfect spice level for them. The ambience is pretty and they made sure to provide my family with comfortable seating as I notated it's my mother's bday and I wanted my parents to be as comfortable as possible. From rich and smoky to spicy, tangy, creamy, and refreshing. Banjara Tikka brought tender chicken thighs layered with yogurt, fried onion and garlic. Mauryaji Basket Chaat delivered chickpeas, potato, tamarind, mint, pomegranate and a creamy yogurt mousse. The Chicken Seekh Kebab was perfectly seasoned and savory with pickled laccha onion, while the Guntur Chilli Chicken Bao turned up the heat with Guntur red chili, sesame and refreshing beetroot shikanji shots. The vegetarian dishes absolutely held their own as well. Chilli Momo with carrot, sesame and seaweed, came out with a soft, delicate bite and a subtle chew, filled with a lightly spiced vegetable mix that leaned savory and aromatic rather than overpowering heat. The Paneer Makhni was rich, velvety, and deeply comforting. The paneer stayed soft and pillowy, soaking up a buttery tomato-cashew gravy that was slightly sweet, gently tangy, and finished with that unmistakable fenugreek aroma that tied everything together. The mains were just as unforgettable. Laal Maas came in bold and unapologetic. Tender goat slow-cooked until it practically melted off the bone, swimming in a deep, smoky gravy built on mathania chilies that brought slow heat. The Shrimp Malai Curry was the complete opposite in tone. Silky coconut milk wrapped around plump tiger shrimp, with Bengali whole spices adding a gentle sweetness and aromatic depth that made the dish feel light yet indulgent at the same time. And somehow dessert still had room to impress. Rose Kulfi was creamy, floral and sweet without being overwhelming. Drinks included everything from the floral, mezcal-and-rooza Gulabo to Mango Lassi. I got the plat du jour of cote de boeuf, of these rich short ribs over the creamy risotto, which had a finely braised, umami mixture of robust and creamy textured. An absolutely wonderful dining experience at Kyma!…read more Kyma is a beautiful restaurant with an elegant and welcoming atmosphere, but what truly stood out to us was the excellent service and amazing variety of food. We were invited for lunch, and for the three of us, we enjoyed 8 different appetizers along with a main course. Every dish was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. There was such a wonderful variety that we were more than full by the end of the meal! The staff was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. If you're looking for a beautiful place with great food, generous variety, and wonderful service, I highly recommend Kyma without a doubt! We had a fantastic time and would definitely come back.

We all ate very little and lost our appetite but the worst is nothing was offered in place of the lamb that was taken away a reputable restaurant will be apologetic and offer some discount or kind of at least replaced the lamb dish . We would never return here again they don't care about their customers. Then we found out they were featured in kitchen nightmare by Gordon Ramsay in Hulu season 2024 .
