Every few months I get a manly manicure with a shine buff and tried out this place for the first time, although the wife has been here recently for a mani-pedi. The coordinator at the front informed me that a mani and buffing would be $25 since prices went up today. So sat with a friendly employee and my nails were done in twenty minutes, looked OK and then tipped her 22%. The bill receipt said $33.00 and inquired to the owner about the higher price then was quoted by his employee. He advised that the $33.00 price still stands since prices went up today and are listed on each table. So I guess the listed prices on the tables supercede the initial verbal price quote from the coordinator prior to the mani. Good nail work but bad communication. read more

2025 BRIDE: It's been over a month since I last went to Davie Nails. I have visited another nail tech who, upon looking at the horror that Cindy left on my hands, educated me on what she did absolutely wrong. I have fresh eyes now that I have met with more skilled and knowledgeable nail professionals, so I have come back to leave more details on my experience at Davie Nails. You should NOT book with Cindy considering how she CUT my fingers without proper consent. My ring finger turned very red and was swollen for days after. The GLUE she didnt bother to clean was disrespectful. The nails didn't look anything like the photo I showed her either. The edges were so overly filed that I could SEE the bare, scratchy surface on the sides. Ugh. The day I placed this review, Danny called and told me to come back and he would redo my nails. When I returned, he instead sent Sophie. I understand you may be busy with other clients to take me on, but you have an UPSET client that YOU agreed to attend at the time. CHERRY ON TOP: they refused to refund me. Sophie said that she could only "fix" what was already on my nails. You can't start over! This nightmare cost ME so much money, time, and energy. Moved to Davie and decided to try this nail salon out. I asked for gel-x as it's usually durable and lasts long. The nail tech placed it so high that after a week it looked like the nail was grown out already and 10 days later one of the nails broke completely and two were peeling off/not stable. Even after the nails were done I could immediately tell the quality of work was subpar. When I called to see if they can do anything the girl who answered was rude and hung up on me. I had to go somewhere else to do my nails again in less than 2 weeks after I got them done at Davie nails. There are many other places that are worth the time and money. Peter did my pedicure today and ruined my new white fabric shoes. Instead of placing the toe separators and salon slippers on my feet, he attempted to put my shoes back on unsuccessfully getting RED nail polish on my white fabric shoe. Then he tried to wipe it off smearing it worse. Next he doused the shoe in acetone turning the white fabric yellow, stripping the dark varnish from the heel leaving streak marks, and failing to remove the red polish stain. On top of that he blamed ME for the incident as if his hubris at not using the right tools wasn't the cause. The shoes are ruined and they are basically new--I've worn them once before. The cashier/manager told me to go home and wash it with soap and water as if that will remove nail polish, fix the discoloration on the heel, and remove the acetone stains. And the icing on the cake? They still charged me for the pedicure, did not offer to comp the treatment, or offer to make any restitution for the ruined shoes. This was a horrible experience and the attitude they had was that it was my problem not theirs. What a horrible business. I will NEVER return and would not recommend this salon. read more

I have never had a problem here! Yesterday went and got my nails done with Milenis and she did a wonderful job shaping them and painting, even though I had to return due to one already chipping by the time I woke up. However, I was not satisfied and am very concerned with the cleanliness and sanitation. Milenis did not get a new set of tools from the previous client like all the other technicians and used the same clippers and cuticle cutters... who knows how many other people have used them too. I am highly worried about infection. Worse part at the end of my visit she capped the same cutters and put them back on her cart and they were still there this AM when I went in to get my nail fixed. Davie nails is a treasure! Besides the incredible staff being able to do everything your nail heart can dream of their staff is is beyond that. They really take the time to remember who you are and everyone knows your name which is really special. They actually build relationships with clients and it shows. I did a gel manicure with design and regular pedicure. I have not stopped getting compliments on my nails. They have a lot of services - you can see what they do on their Instagram and even schedule an appointment online. The gel pedicure was fine, but I wished I would've booked the deluxe option as that comes with sugar scrub and mud mask. While having my pedicure completed the nail technician who would eventually do my nails came over to get started on removing my prior set of Gel X nails. It was my first time in this salon. I'm new to Florida. I was really excited for this location it was my third time trying a new place. The other two salons I went to there wasn't much experience with Gel-x. I found this salon through Instagram. I had a holiday party this evening and I was set on a set of nails and communicated clearly to the tech Peter what I wanted. He rushed through my pedicure. I assumed he was just fast paced. My pedicure was maybe 20 minutes. Little soaking and little cuticle care. Not a big deal, my focus was my nails. Well I tell him I'd like stiletto and that I was normally a coffin type. I knew this would be a style I wasn't used to and I'm open to that. He put my set on I loved them. My natural nail was wider under the stiletto and he began to file them to blend in with the new shape. Well he started aggressively overfiling and I ended up with very skinny nails. He turned them into ghetto cat claw style extremely sharp nails. I told him I did makeup and could not have them that sharp if he could please soften them. I hate speaking up for myself and today I did. He immediately showed frustration. Grabbed my hand telling me he couldn't file them and started telling me he would cut them off and give me to "the new guy". I started getting choked up. I'm grieving and doing that during Christmas is so hard. I sat quietly while he complained to someone else about what was happening. Then he finished cutting my nails and snapping "I don't have time for this" while throwing the nail clipper in the drawer. He stormed off and a new tech came to sit down and finish removing my glue on my nails. I ended up leaving with no nails. Just rough looking nail beds. I cried the entire removal and the new tech didn't even bat an eye. When I went to pay I was told "we're ONLY charging you for the pedicure." Why would you dare charge me anything for the set I didn't leave with. For the application that was cut abruptly off. BE MINDFUL, THERE ARE PEOPLE GRIEVING THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON, SHOW SOME EFFING COMPASSION. I have never ever written a bad review and I can't believe I had to do it now. This was appalling. read more

After 2 years of being a loyal customer and driving 45 minutes every two weeks, I was very disappointed, and I decided no longer to use their services. Lately, Sophie is rushing and supervising other technicians and by consequences the services and work is very poor. My daughter's nails broke the next day. Also, the last time the bill came to $360.00 charging for my little niece 9 years old $100.00 for manicure and pedicure. I believe that this is an abuse. By consequence I do not recommend their services and if you will continue using her salon be sure to ask for price previous their services. This place has the most rude people. SOFIE is the one that was very rude to me she called out another client in front of everyone and then was rushing me out by doing my nails so fast and overcharging. They make up prices for the same work every time I go there. I will never go back to this unprofessional environment, especially as long as Sophie works there. That Landlord should know that Sophie talks to customers so rudely she should not even be there. Very very disappointing. UPDATE: I got a call from SOFIE not to apologize for the bad experience but to hear her yell at me for my review. This woman owns the store and treats people with such disrespect.
