I've seen David's Bridal reviewed as the McDonalds of dress shops. After visiting, I might even say its the Arby's of dress shops. Blehhh The staff was super friendly, but the person who helped me did not pay attention to what I said I liked or didn't like. I tried on a lace dress because I was trying to be open but then decided that I didn't like lace. She continued to bring lace dresses to me. The quality of the dresses was notably cheap. The dresses they give you to try on should be tossed, or at least cleaned. Half of them were dirty with make up and torn in places. Holy gross and terrible shopping experience batman!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! I came here the day before I did my real shopping to try on gowns and get a sense of shapes and silhouettes. I should never have bothered. First of all, the store is dirty and gross; almost apologetic in nature. We were pushed in the back in a little private area, which was nice I suppose. My "consultant", if you can even call her that, was an idiot. If she had even had a hot minute of experience in retail before working here, I'd be shocked. She talked over me, didn't listen, and brought me the opposite of what I asked for. NOTHING worked. I think she gave up about 6 dresses in. She had no idea what alterations would do to the dress (or how they'd do them). She mislabeled silhouettes, didn't know fabrics (although everybody at DB is made of shitty cheap fabrics so who cares). I kind of wanted to punch her and run out screaming at the same time. Obviously, nothing was purchased there. She kept saying, "oh YAY!!!" as she took me out of the final heinous dress, and then asked when I wanted to come back. Ummm, how about never ever ever?!? If you're in a position to not buy a dress here, run. Run far far away. Don't even get your bridesmaids dressed here (my sister tried those ok and they were equally horrific). If anyone working at DB reads this, perhaps you need to take a very close look at your staff and how ridiculous they are. And then clean house. Or at least tell them to pretend that they know what they are talking about. I'd rather get married in my pajamas or my old prom dress than shop at this store. read more

I was at brunch when one of my engaged best friends announced to us that she hadnt shopped for a wedding dress yet with only a few more months until her big day. *gasp* ladies, step away from the eggs benedict & mimosas, we're headed to David's Bridal!! We didnt have an appointment so we figured we'd at least look. Even though it was a Saturday afternoon in the springtime, the store was pretty empty and the salespeople were more than willing and able to accomodate us. Worst experience ever we made an appointment got there on time Sat around for 15 mins till they finally got to us to tell us we only have 90 mins so we can only try on 5 dresses. Then 1/2 hr and 3 dresses later they told us no more. That they were getting ready to close. Wtf? And on top of that the "assistant" kept getting us dressed in the wrong size. Horrible experience. I came to the store just to get a basic idea of what I want, and what would suit my shape. Wrong answer! I made an appointment and was told I would at least have 90 minutes to look at dresses and possibly try them on. The sales consultant Sabrina did not help at all. Her only concern was if I was looking to purchase a dress that day. Once I told her I was just looking I was basically on my own and told I could only try on 5 gowns. She kept bringing me gowns to small for me to try on or even get a leg into. After trying on 3 dresses she came to me and said they were closing so I would not be able to try anything on. As well as try to make another appointment. My appointment lasted all of 30 minutes. It seekers as though she did not want to be bothered at all. Not to mention the store was a complete and utter mess. One of my bridesmaids came with me to try on dresses as well and she put us in the same dressing room together. Basically we were helping one another get in and out of gowns. A complete mess with dresses from previous customers in the dressing room thrown all over the place. A waster of time do not even bother. I refuse to waste time here. The dresses are dirty and are in poor condition, and I was told that you can purchase from the rack. Never again. read more

DONT GO HERE! I've been here a few times in the past and service was good, but I went there today and the staff made made my experience terrible. So bad I just had to get out of there because they ruined my mood ( Side Note: While i was there 3 different groups walked in and right back walked out cause no one helped them. They asked a question and the person just never came back with an answer.) I had an appointment booked for bridesmaids dresses and the lady who was "helping us" set us up in a room and she disappeared. She didn't help us find any dresses, didn't ask me any questions about the style I liked to help me pick out a dress, didn't help me zip up my dress, she just stood there watching me struggle, and then disappeared for the next hour (we left the store and STILL didn't see her.) Did she go on lunch or go home?!? We don't know cause she didn't say anything. A little communication wouldve been nice. She didn't even leave us with another team memberMind you, the store was empty, other than 1 other couple who were already being helped‍ so what was the Houdini trick for. Then, this other staff member takes a chair that had my phone on it, and moved it while telling this random man to "sit here", (ON MY PHONE!) and walks away. I know for a fact that she saw it there too because she looked right at, and when she moved the chair the phone slid around on the seat making a loud rolling sound. Like she couldn't of asked who's phone is this or took the other empty seat that next to me for the man to sit in. Little shit like that just pissed me off. This 5-Star rating is due ENTIRELY to Marisa Facciponti, who made my experience at David's Bridal on August 18th singularly enjoyable. I had first arrived for my morning appointment, but from the get-go I felt quite frustrated with the service I initially received. After all, I had created an account online and saved all the dresses I was interested in. Despite access to iPads, however, the woman assigned to me simply gestured at the dresses on the rack and said, "well, here are our dresses." I was surprised, because I didn't make an appointment weeks in advance just to sift through clothing racks. I explained to her that I had favorited styles with David's Bridal online, and she left me to try and sign in (no store WiFi) on my own. Eventually someone did come with an iPad when they realized what I was trying to do, all while the employee that was supposed to be helping me watched from afar... Needless to say, I was unhappy from the start. Then my friend arrived and insisted on having Marisa help us - she had helped my friend when she came wedding dress shopping, and my friend remembered the excellent customer service. Marisa was amazing! She was fun and upbeat, and she made me feel at ease. She found dresses I was interested in, and also dresses I would have never thought to look at, let alone try on. She gave great insight on what styles worked best on me, and really took the time to hear about my wedding ideas and stylistic interests. If not for Marisa Facciponti, I would have walked out of David's Bridal within the half hour and never looked back. Marisa Facciponti is my bridal consultant and is TOP NOTCH. I very honest with Marisa and expressed to her that I had some anxiety ; not because I was getting a wedding dress, but just in general by my nature, I'm an anxious person and that I had some sensory issues. Marisa was very accommodating and saw to my special needs. She treated me none the last like she would any other regular customer and she understood that I have an invisible disability. MF was very kind and patient and to be honest with you ,very loving and nurturing. Her calm professional demeanor brought peace to me. Marisa,identified immediately when I was having a panic attack and was able to assist me and help me very calmly without judging me. There aren't enough words to describe my satisfaction with Marisa as our bridal consultant. She's also been amazing with my bridesmaids. Every company should have a Marisa. I am so thankful that David's Bridal has Marisa, because she goes above and beyond her "bridal duties". Actually, to be further honest, my child locked my car keys in my car the day I was dress shipping. I live Upstate over an hour away and it was going to be impossible to go upstate to get a key it has been an absolute pleasure having Marisa as our consultant. And I honestly can't articulate enough just how special she is in recognizing peoples needs. I went there with my maid of honor and one of my bridesmaids to get their dresses. The stylist got the dresses I wanted.After an hour of back and forth we finally picked the 2 we were going with. We then went through the task of picking colors that went well with our wedding colors. When we went to the front to make purchases, My maid of honor made brought her dress. I'm probably the worst bride ever. At least unconventional. I just don't care about the dress. I don't care to go to a bunch of places to try stuff on. I don't think I'm going to have some "say yes to the dress" moment where I completely and utterly fall in love with my dress. I just want something I'm comfortable in, I look decent in and cheap. We walked in, was congratulated on my upcoming nuptials and handed a bridal goody bag (sweet!) and handed off to the capable hands of Micaiah. Micaiah, we couldn't have asked for a better person to help us. She was super nice, super friendly and super patient. She listened to my likes and dislikes and paid attention to my mother's opinion... and we're both very opinionated people. She gave us her full attention and didn't make me feel rushed through the appointment, and uncomfortable in any of the dresses. Micaiah also made my mom, who hates shopping, enjoy the experience. Unfortunately, we did not purchase the dress that day. We were planning on going to another store or two before making the final decision. I dragged my girlfriend in to David's Bridal because I had to try on two bridesmaid's dresses and I needed her opinion on which one looked best. Now you don't know my girlfriend but trying on these dresses was a task she was certainly dreading and she made a point to complain the entire drive over to the store. We were helped by Jessica who was absolutely wonderful!!!! She made the entire experience enjoyable - even my girlfriend left happy (which is not an easy task given the circumstances). I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. I bought a dress in March for my May wedding. The dress I bought after trying all of my other options was the one the consultant picked! She said "just to humor me, try this on" and she was spot on! In addition, the alterations staff did a (mostly) great job dealing with me through my sudden morph into Bridezilla when I realized my dress didn't fit after I gained a few pounds. My niece visited this store on Monday and had the WORST experience anyone could ever imagine having when buying a wedding dress. Long story short - once the sales associate, Margarita, knew how much my niece's budget was for the dress she showed her to a rack and had her fend for herself. What made the experience even worse was the fact that none of the other associates even bothered to ask if she needed help. They did however ALL stare at her as she tried on a few dresses and looked at veils. DO YOU REALIZE HOW UNCOMFORTABLE THIS MADE MY NIECE FEEL? She was so embarrassed she left the store without making a purchase. Everyone was very nice to us and I found a perfect dress for me in less that 2 hours, Taylor was very helpful and pleasant. I got a lot of compliments and congratulations. Dress is a bit pricey plus alterations, ended up being almost 1700, but def worth it. They give you enough time and you get the whole podium to yourself! My experience at this David's Bridal started off not so great. It was 10 bridesmaids and a bride all trying on dresses. Initially we had a consultant, however, she wasn't much help therefore leaving the responsibility of the BM's running back and forth looking for dresses to try on. Within the next hour we received another consultant who started to help us but soon dissolved as well. From the 2 hours we were there, we had 3 consultants which ultimately wasn't any help either. As we exercised our frustration of not having sufficient consultant(s), DELORAS, who also was running the front desk and helping customers, went out her way to help us. DELORAS went above and beyond to satisfy not only the 10 BM's but the bride as well. She was very patient in making sure everyone had the right size, dress, and style. She even helped with zipping and fixing up the dress on us. I would definitely recommend DELORAS for not only a raise, but a consultant. Now the store was ok, they didn't have all the sizes, color, or styles that we requested for the BM dresses. When I called customer service and asked for a manager they told me no one was available. The first time was when my daughter found her dream dress with Sue's help -- she said YES to the dress. She was nervous but was put at ease with Sue's attention to her style preferences. A few weeks later I was so happy to find the perfect dress for me. I did not want a "typical" mother of the bride dress. I also had my mind made up on the color as well.
