On our first visit, Mike and Tyler visited with us and took the time to walk the property and ask relevant questions and take down notes. They came back with a marketing proposal. Mike then scheduled a meeting with his staging consultant Gina. We met James by chance after requesting to view a home on realtor.com. We immediately liked his style and personality and decided to work with him full-time to sell our home and purchase a new home (we just closed today, yipeee). He is one of the most friendly, understanding and authentic people I have ever met and made the entire home buying/selling experience about as seamless as I can imagine it being. We were in a pickle because we needed to sell our home before buying a new one and in THIS crazy housing market, a "contingency" is just unattractive and difficult. We learned that the hard way when we put an offer on the first house we loved and didn't make the cut. Thankfully, with James spot on pricing and beautiful photos etc, he sold our home in TWO DAYS! He got us an outstanding deal that we just couldn't believe. We were baffled by how savvy he was in negotiating things for our sale. We were extremely happy to say the least! We connected through a Homes.com search--ran filters for realtors with the highest volume of buy & sell transactions over the last five years--and he was at the top of our list. We had a few referrals from our network, but Chris was incredibly responsive, and our first call was solid. Long story long, we moved to Austin around that time, and Chris was there from the very start. He's direct in the kindest sense of the word, and he 1000% loves what he does. He figured out what we liked and didn't like, but that honestly didn't matter much because we had no idea where we wanted to live. Throughout the holidays, we went into escrow--then had to pull our offer days before closing due to the inspection. Chris's response? "If you guys want to change directions, we can start looking for new properties tomorrow." This was after he spent two hours inspecting the place himself, pushing the builder to add new gutters, fix the lawn's grading, and leading the blue tape charge on 3,500 square feet. Later, he talked us through properties that looked great in person but wouldn't appraise on paper, and ultimately, he helped us land the perfect place. Frankly, the guy knows every aspect of a real estate transaction inside and out. I don't know if he's so well off that time doesn't matter, but he had to lose money on us.
