They could not find me an apartment despite me having great rental history. All they sent was apartments that they earned high commission on. One of the agents here who I got to know told me that their system is similar to MLS for homes but it lists apartments based on criteria that the agent inputs and certain apartments pay them higher commissions than others (And those are the ones they send you and try to get you to apply to) That's why the service is "free". They will just try to get you to apply to the high commission ones. Do not trust these people. I found an apartment on my own in 48 hours. Apartments are running specials most of the time anyway. I reached out to this apartment locator service(APARTMENTS HERE) in hopes of finding an apartment. The lady that helped me would not send anything over email and required in person meetings on Saturdays only . She would also text things like respond asap, call now, C U in 10. I met with her on a Saturday and she immediately listed properties I would not be interested in despite me sending a list of properties and detailing my preferences. I explained the area I wanted and that I had a budget of 2000 I'd like to stay under but am flexible, she then had a list of properties all above 2k some as high as 2500. She complained that I needed to work with her as far as an area or preferences. I then gave her a list of properties I researched so she would have an idea of my preferences. She then chose 3 properties and told me I either apply to one of these or I am running out of options. I reluctantly went to view the 3 she listed and did not like any of them and they were over budget. She never reached out to any properties other than giving them her contact card, she didn't review any screening criteria. I haven't had much experience with locators but when I decided that this service wasted a months time and chose to contact another locator, I was able to have a short list in my email within a few hours that the agent had already contacted the properties and reviewed screening criteria or issues that I may have with the property. I met her at noon on a Friday and was applying that Saturday and accepted that Monday. This place has been horrible since day one. They were supposed to put new flooring in before we moved in, but disn't. There were maggots in the carpet and they wouldn't even shampoo the carpet. There are cockroaches everywhere. If you putvin a request for an exterminator it take 3 weeks for someone to come out. They have one dumpster for the whoke complex so it is always overflowing. It's so bad that they changed the name of the apartments because of the bad reviews! Check out Residences At Onion Creek fir more horrible reviews and pics. Another month, another issue. Our refrigerator went out early Thursday morning. I put in a work request and also called and left a message on the maintenancce hotline. No one came to check on it Thursday. Friday morning put in another request. By Friday at 5pm still no response so I called. The leasing agent(Deseray) told me that all of the maintenance guys were gone until Tuesday aince its Memorial Day weekend. I told her that they have a 3 day turnaround and saturday would be 3 days. She told me that if I disn't like it I coul put in my 60 day notice and move. She us always hateful and disrespectful. She could care less if we have small children. We have to put up with cockroaches, drug dealers, filth, hateful managers and no respect. Don't move here! read more

I saw a craigslist ad for a 2 bedroom apt and responded to the ad. As it was listed as a 2 bedroom, but showed the floorplan of a 1 bedroom, things were already not off to a good start. John Edward Arredondo responded to my inquiry and his response was: ""IT is a 2 bedroom.. its an apartment north off 35...But they have applications on them sorry..they went fast. I can help you out with others I know of call me when u get a min. Thanks". No suprise there, I know listing fake listings on craigslist is a commonly used trick of apartment locators to get customers. Regardless, I told him what we needed, but that I was unavailable by phone, and email would be easier for me. It saved me a ton of time! The first apartments that I moved into that Apartments Here found were super friendly and helpful after finding out that I was using a locator. The move in special wasn't even listed at the apartment themselves and they didn't even bring it up. I was lucky I went with these guys. Saved me a ton of money. The second place was just as easy. You will regret living here. Granted it changed hands a few months ago but the new management company is somehow even worse than the old one. During the 5 years I've lived here (too poor to move) we've had rats, bedbugs, cockroaches and super drug dealer neighbors shooting each other in the face. No AC for months on end, no running water (as of now going on two months). Dogpile walkways of course. When we moved in originally the apartment hadn't even been cleaned, toilet seats degraded and worn so as to soak in all the beautiful misses and missteps of the toileter, and a stove that had never been cleaned and was a permagrease wasteland. When the new company bought the building, the old lease (1200) went up to $1600 and they just lost our old lease. We had signed a document and didn't take screenshots so it just vanished. Lots of gunshots and a few confirmed murders. Stay away from this hellhole. Even with no water now they won't let us move out. Now they won't let us out of the lease. Sliding doors get stuck and then the actual doorlock for the normal door wouldn't open the other day. Felt like a metaphor for how trapped we are here. It dawns on me that actually might die here but that's just a metaphor. I am getting professional help as far as suicide prevention goes but should be looking at free lawyers to try to get out of here. The people who work in office are always nice though. The manner of a doctor that has to give you bad news or a funeral director or maybe an underpaid hit man who's just doing his job kind of nice. Again, they did change owners and the new people in the office (who probably have see these reviews and who my heart goes out to) are very nice.
